This day last year
"I've rambled on at length & repeatedly about how good @jordz16 but in winning last night's Summit it means he has won Summit two weeks running, & he won the Major just over a month ago too. He's ridiculously good at poker & from what I gather from Twitter, he's pretty decent at Sports Betting too. What a life, eh? Good luck to him.
@elogic has been here 10 years without ever making a featured MTT final table as far as I can see but that all changed last night when, after satting in for £7.20, they won the Main for a useful £1,050. The satellite & the Main itself were the first & only games they've played here since early February.
If Sharky ratings are taken at face value then @delboy504 is distinctly modest, but in winning last night's Mini he was winning his third featured MTT in less than two weeks (Quickdraw, £1k Rebuy & Mini), & not many can boast that, so he looks like a wolf in sheep's clothing to me. Runner-up was the mysterious @mysteryreg while @MAXALLY was 6th, he had a good run last month including twice winning a seat to the Major in the nightly freeroll.
Burger Bloke @Kahuna96 took the £1k BJ, that being his 5th featured MTT win this year - 1 x Main, 2 x MidEx, 1 x Mega, 1 x £1k BH, plus all sorts of bits & bobs.
7 @ 7 went to @fiers5527 of whom I know very little. 2nd was @edrich, interesting because he vey rarely plays MTT's, mostly DYM's, but last night he just played 2 MTT's. In total, he's coming up to a major & rare milestone - 100,000 games on Sky Poker. So far he's on 96,967, of which 95,501 (98%) were DYM's.
@jackal666 who has only been here 4 or 5 months registered their first significant win last night, taking the Rebuy BH, & they ran 2nd in a £400 BH the previous night.
@CGTHA1 joined Sky Poker just 3 days ago, & has so far played just 4 MTT's, but managed to get off to a right flyer by winning last night's Turbo.
@PaulDenner took Quickdraw to complete an unusual March hat-trick of wins - Quickdraw, 7 @ 7 & the big nightly PLO8.

The Main beat guarantee by just £10, & that was partly thanks to James putting on a 10 seat Freeroll to the Main instead of the usual 3 seat freeroll to the Major. @sam0211 took the top spot. 6 of his last 8 MTT's have been Main Events, the other two were that Sunday night £6k BH, often considered a "Main", & those 8 games were over a 3 week period. Although I can't trace any previous thread mentions from the 11 years he's been here, he seems to be quite profitable with a healthy ROI on a £21 ABI & an 86 Sharky rating, all of which suggests he's probably quite useful. 2nd was @Voltage who has won a Rebuy BH & a MidEx in the last month. He won his seat in the 10 seat Freeroll which replaced the Sunday Major Freeroll, so that panned out well for him.
@Raptor555 swooped to take the Mini. Splits his play roughly 50/50 between MTT's & DYMs. Made the FT of Gold Rush Mini last Tuesday. Often plays the nightly PLO8, & does well in it, numerous FT's & the occasional win. @livwiz14 has made 5 Mini FT's without managing a win yet, and so nearly broke the sequence last night when finishing 2nd. @ILIKE2FISH was 3rd, he also won seats via satellites to Main & Sheriff. Currently sits 5th in the 2024 Sky Poker Sharky MTT Leaderboard.
Sheriff had a very poor night, just 12 entries plus 5 rebuys, but @NOSTRI is not complaining as he took the win, even better he qualified via one of the four £3 All-In Sats he played to it & was rewarded with almost £350, so he ended up the best part of £340 to the good.
There was the unusual sight of a father & son 1-2 in Turbo, with @StayOrGo getting the win ahead of @Limp2Lose in 2nd. They both made the FT of Quickdraw too, though not so prominently, finishing 4th & 6th this time.
@daggers747 loves a bit of PLO8 & won the nightly biggie, perhaps making up for being runner-up in it last Thursday. By my reckoning, daggers has now won that affair 12 times, so is clearly very handy with 4 cards. Best two results here were both for being runner-up in the now defunct Mini Roller, (which I assume is the Mini Major these days) in 2014 & 2015.
@fulldozer won the £1k BH for the third time this year, which is a quite exceptional record.
@Baboon26 promised on Twitter that he'd have a better year this year, & so it's proving with a string on good scores. Won last night's Rebuy BH, this coming just a few days after he ran 2nd in Friday's BWBH.
Last Thursday @BIGMANPKR ran 3rd in Reload, so last night's 1st place would have felt just great. Been here just over a year & this was a PB, so well done Big Man.
That's it for today. There has been a few comments on the thread the last few days, which definitely helps, these things are a grind to write some days but a smidgeon of encouragement goes a long way.
