This day last year
"March finished with a night of banging numbers, time of month I suppose. The whole site seemed really busy last night.
In the Main, @FeelGroggy finished top of the pile for a handsome pay cheque. He's not played MTT's for 3 weeks until last night, as he's been focusing on DYM's for Streak Week. In fact, 75% of his volume of 43,000 games has been in DYM's where - in relative terms - he makes good money. He really shines in MTT's though, 8,500 games, ABI £25, with a ROI of 46%. Serious numbers those. I believe when he first started he was coached by @StayOrGo & if I know Graham he'll be chuffed to bits this morning. Groggs is one of those guys who has no enemies, ruthless at the table, but genuinely kind & caring off it. Quite a life he has too, his gambling skillset is such that he'll never have to "work" in the traditional sense. Delighted for him, there are few players with a better or more well-rounded personality. Takes his bad beats like a grown-up too.
In the Mini, @Damon8 returned after a 6 week absence. The last time he played (17th Feb) he was 5th in Avenger Main, last night he won Avenger Mini. He must love Avenger, his biggest win was in an Avenger Main in 2017, & in January of this year he was 2nd in one too. It was also his 2nd win in Avenger Mini, the first being in 2017. In 3rd was @Jac35, who is semi-retired these days as he has more important real-life things to do, including a Son who is growing up rapidly. He used to be top notch at DYM's and has a stunning 7.5% ROI in them, which is outrageous, especially as much of the attraction of DYM's is high Reward payments which are not included in ROI. His ROI in MTT's is very high too though, over 41% at an ABI of nearly £10 over a 6,000+ sample size. In fact, if you compare the stats of @FeelGroggy & @Jac35 they are quite similar in many ways, except Groggs plays at higher stakes. I must mention @autex too, who gas suddenly appeared on our radar screens. On Thursday he won Mega, last night he had a brace of 2nd places - Mini Avenger & Mega, so he came close to back-to-back Mega wins.
Biggest 1st prize of the night was in the £5,000 BWBH which made £6,200, with @Froozle getting £1,850 for 1st. He was 3rd in Avenger Main too. He's won all the big stuff here, most of them several times, & I seem to recall he won a Vegas package with us a few years ago. One for the notebook here is @Beets8 who only joined Sky Poker in February, & has played just 7 MTT's. On Monday he won Mega, & was not seen again until last night when he was 6th in BWBH.
The remarkably consistent @AlexaAJ won Turbo for the 2nd straight night, & has won Quickdraw twice this week too (Monday & Wednesday).
We have not seen @Doooobs since last Saturday but he returned in style last night to win Quickdraw, two weeks to the day since he last won it. More money for his Vegas WSOP kitty.
Finally, a bonus result today, the Orfordable. @Humphrey43 was getting a little frustrated with a run of 2nd places, but he triumphed in last night's Orfordable. Well done Humps, hope it's the first of many.

MTT traffic was pretty decent, no overlay except for Sheriff which came up 4 entries shy. Sadly (for online poker) this weekend sees the clocks go forward, meaning "lighter nights". As a consequence, online poker traffic right across the northern hemisphere drops significantly, & guarantees have to be cut. The usual suspects will moan & suggest "Sky Poker is dying" as they do every year, then come the Autumn, when guarantees go back up, they stay schtum. Welcome to the marvellously myopic world of poker.
Quite an interesting result in the Main which went to @basher5 who has been here since around 2009 but played, relatively speaking, very little. I don't have much data on him but as far as I can tell this was far & away his best result ever, & curiously, his 2nd best result was just last Friday when he was 2nd in Avenger Main. That's some upturn in results after 15 years here, especially as Sharky only award him a modest 58 rating. He won last night's £33 entry in a £7.20 satellite too. Well done basher. 2nd was @5ausages with @snoxx11 3rd. I suppose it depends how your mind works, but @snoxx11 can either be considered very lucky, or very unlucky, as that's the 2nd time in 4 nights he's been 5th in a Main. In 4th place was @luvBWFC
The Mini went to @TURN_IT_IN who had a deep run in Reload on Wednesday night. It was a memorable night for @Mumfdog who ran 2nd, having earlier won a Sunday Major seat in the nightly Freeroll. In 4th was @luvBWFC & those who are paying attention will have noticed also ran 4th in the Main, so that's a lovely £200 FTJ cash bonus for what I assume to be a Bolton fan. I was a little shocked to notice recently that they are now a League One side. Jeez, it does not seem long since they were in the Premier League, & I seem to recall they qualified for the EUFA Cup one year.
@Asho28 has had a dream run of late, winning the Mini twice in 4 days last week, & he added the £1k BH to his trophy cupboard last night. He also ran 3rd in the weekly £400 PLO8. He's actually quite a dab hand at O8 despite what he may say. @thedazzman is another who has been doing well & he was 4th in the Mini.
Congrats go to @lundie who won that "new" £500 BH @ 19.35 for the second straight night.
@Slim_Jape won 7 @ 7 for the third time in 6 months & 4th time in all.
8 days after joining Sky Poker @Dunnie93 had their first proper win, taking down Mega.
@Swog is becoming a proper Big Boy these days, & as well as winning Quickdraw, he won a nice MTT on Party which netted him just shy of $5,000.
Apologies to all the NHL players, but for me, best news of the night was the £400 PLO8 beating guarantee with 32 entries & 10 rebuys. Excellent news. Something of a curious result, with @bottler365 taking the win. Curious? Been here 8 years but the account appears to have been completely dormant until last night & this was their first ever MTT here. Later in the evening they played a £1 heads up PLO8 against a solid player & won that too. One to keep an eye on. 2nd was @steveysee which was one of FIVE FT's he made last night. As mentioned earlier, PLO8 "dark horse" @Asho28 was 3rd.
There, I'm done. Was meant to be a "mini" report as it's Good Friday but I got a bit carried away.
