not massively fussed who wins, would any of them care the slightest for me? when one of these guys shows up to cheer me on when I am processing invoices washing dishes or playing online poker I will show up to route for them.
I thought it was a great fight. Not a classic, I agree, but it lived up to the hype. Right decision too, very close but Usyk definitely did enough for me.
One of the reasons that I don't bet the fights is the way that 3 people can watch a fight and have such differing perspectives of the event.
I can remember as a kid, I would be 9 at the time, watching Ken Norton quite clearly beating Ali only to lose to a split decision. Even at such a young age I understood that the only way to guarantee a victory in the ring is to knock your opponent out.
I am not advocating here that this was a similar thing. I had Usyk by 2 rounds at the end and maybe a case could be made for a draw but I could not in all integrity give Fury a win.
Great fight. Tyson took complete control for me after 2 - then think he had it all in the bag - he should have knew U history, hes comes back and finishes strong. Cases for the Ref to have stopped it - Fury showed once again how great he is in even competing after being knocked into touch - best fighter won on the night. Next one will the classic we all wanted
I thought the ref had stepped in to stop the fight in the 9th, Fury was being absolutely battered and was stumbling around, running away and hardly defending himself, he was out on his feet. Then the ref stepped in to give him a very long count and even then Fury had absolutely no idea what to do when the ref asked him to step towards him as he finished his count. Then the bell saved him.
An enthralling fight and I agree with the decision, although I was half expecting a draw.
After the fight Fury was going up in my estimation until he lost and made his stupid comment about Usyk being given the verdict as his country was at war.
Great result and Usyk a deserved champion. Just goes to show that a good big 'un doesn't necessarily been a good little 'un.
Not because he occasionally makes stupid comments. He is a Boxer. Not a Philosopher. And, when he makes stupid comments, he normally does it at the exact time that will help tickets for the current or next fight.
The reason I can't stand him is this. I love seeing a big puncher. I love seeing a skilled boxer. (In an ideal World, 1 v the other). What I don't love seeing is a fighter who is neither.
One with a decent punch. But not a great 1. One with a half-decent jab. That he rarely uses. With a good chin.
He is a limited fighter. One who is extremely good at utilising what strengths he has. Within his limitations. One who uses his reach and his ability to smother his opponent, generally to good effect.
His pre fight talk is very good. It's exciting to watch.
Tyson Fury's rematch with Oleksandr Usyk will take place on Saturday December 21 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia's chair of General Entertainment Authority Turki Alalshikh has announced.
Usyk emerged victorious via split decision when the rivals met earlier this month to become the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999.
It had been well-publicised in the lead-up to the fight that the Fury-Usyk contract included a rematch clause.
Fury puts him into touch this time for me , he will be a lot more focused and ready for round 2. I think he under-rated and thought he would coast to victory doing what he liked. I also think he should get rid of Father in his corner(in the ring not outside obv) talking nonsense, listen to the seasoned coach during the fight. Looking forward to the rematch. U can say what u like about Fury, for me what he went through and to come back from the physical shape, is one of the best comebacks in history. He is not a bad guy deep down and has curtailed most of the nonsense he once spoke in the lead up to fights. He has a big heart

Makes him look like a classless ****.
Serious punching power and a granite chin. First one to land a clean power shot probably wins.
The bookies have it close. Fury 21/20 and Usyk 6/5

Unlike most of his fights.
