Afternoon.
This day last year
"Just a quick run-through today. Bank Holiday weekend, lawn to mow, da de da.
@Shrimpy28 played a full schedule last night & blanked the lot - except the Main, which he won, & in the process, be knocked out every other final tablist, hence his meaty head prize total. Collected the best part of £1,500 for that, very nice, so I daresay all the kids will get treated. He had been hoping to be at Wembley tomorrow to see Peterborough try & win Promotion to the Champo, but that all ended rather badly for him, so last night's bink is a nice consolation. Well done Champ. It's the 3rd time he's binked a Main, the previous ones were an Avenger in 2021 & a Hitman in 2022, so he seems to win them once a year. 2nd was what at first sight appears to be a binary number, @10l0l1i0T, but in fact it's a collection of 0's, o's, i's, I's & 1's, if that makes sense.
In the Mini, top spot went to @rancid. Plays the Mini quite frequently, but really, 95% of his volume is at the cash tables.
70% of all the play by @jas69 is in DYM's but he does OK when he comes across to MTT's & has won a bunch of MidExs, Turbos & the like, & added a 9 @ 9 last night.
Winning their first ever featured MTT last night was @Venice89 who took Mega, just 48 hours after he was on course to win it before a nasty accident in 8th place.
@kinghigh07 won a Gold Rush Mini 4 years ago but has not had another featured win until last night when he took Quickdraw. Was 10th in Thursday's Main too, so seems to be returning to form.
It has taken @Jakefletch 10 years to play just 31 MTT's & last night he took his maiden victory when winning the £1k BH.
@yobbie has previous wins in 9 @ 9 & Reload, & added the Rebuy BH last night."

Before I start, just a quick thank you to @tomgoodun & @mumsie for their kind comments on yesterday's thread. I've come to accept that these are really "read only" threads but even so, it's still nice when a reader takes the trouble to leave a comment. Maybe I'm easily pleased, but it's the little niceties in life that make me happy. There's SO much toxic stuff around these days, & a little love goes a long way.
OK, on we go. MTT traffic was OK-ish. Many would have noticed that Avenger Main & Mini had reduced guarantees, probably just as well, as both covered nicely but would have missed. Summer, 'innit. Autumn will be here before we know it & hopefully guarantees will go back up. Note, by the way, that Sunday's Major will be down to £10,000 from £12,000. Think players have been fortunate that James delayed it this long, as it's cost Sky a good few bob. Tonight's Sharpshooter is now £5,000 from £6,000 too.
Avenger Main is arguably the best Main of the week to win (Major excepted) & it certainly takes a bit of winning, so I was really pleased to see @thedazzman emerge on top. His ABI is just over £6, & Avenger Main is a £20-er, so it's way above his normal range. He took home £1,480, prior to which his biggest score this month was £276 for winning the Rebuy BH 4 nights earlier. Last night was his third best result all-time here, beaten only by 3rd in a 022 UKOPS, & 1st place in a 2021 Summit, though quite what he was doing in a Summit I don't know, maybe he won a satellite, as he'd not normally "flick in" (as the kids say, yikes, I loathe that term) £110. Well done Dazzy, really pleased for you. 2nd was an old & Senior friend in the shape of @MacMonster with @Limp2Lose 5th & @duonross 6th.
@bigfatfish had a most pleasing session, cashing all over the shop. Won the Mini for a shade over £600, also won the Elim Freeroll, was 4th in the £1k Rebuy, ran deep in the Main, 4th in a £500 BH & 3rd in Turbo. He's not won his Vegas package yet, but don't be surprised if he does. 3rd was @bakersdoze 4th @Upswing & 5th @UnEuropean. At one stage @Jac35 was chippie, only to end up 94th, though that was largely down to a real shocker of a hand (boat v "invisible" bigger boat) against @bakersdoze.
We saw a surprise in BWBH as @Slimlad took the win. Been here 18 months but played just 20 MTT's, of which just 6 were this year. Even so, the clues were there, as he was 2nd in Sharpshooter Main last month & also won a £300 BH. Won his £110 seat last night via a £24 satellite, & eventually went home with around £1,275 tucked in his trousers.
@IRONZ fresh from winning last Saturday's Sharpshooter Main, took Turbo. Was a super tough FT too, with class acts such as @seikus @bigfatfish @Fabraclass & @loololollo all vying for the win. @waller02 finalled too.
@SN1PER is in his 17th year here & I can't find any previous big results but he was on target last night, taking down the £800 BH.
It's been a great week for @PRhack93 as on Monday he was confirmed as the winner of week 3 of the Elim Freerolls so will be off to Vegas with us, & he earned a bit of spending money last night by winning the Rebuy BH.
Reload went to @dhardy which is not a name that features too often here, but he has a very decent CV actually which includes 1st & 2nd in Avenger Minis & several Main Event FT's. In 4th place was @Shrimpy28 who later finished 3rd in MidEx. If you read "This day last year" you'll have seen that a year ago today he won the Main & in doing so busted all the other Finalists. Since then he's a year older & a stone or two heavier, & he still can't grasp the basics of football.
The Vegas Quarter did not run - there had been 6 entries but 2 withdrew, but the Glasgow Semi went ahead, with seats going to @llDuffyll & @ayr2710
