Morning.
This day last year
"It's Friday, the weekend awaits, & with it the Champion's League Final. Next week we have the US Open Golf and the first Ashes Test, & the following week it's Royal Ascot. We are truly blessed.
MTT traffic was OK last night, with overlay in the headline tournaments adding up to the grand total of £3, which was in Reload.
@Rocket919 blasted to victory in Hitman Main, his 2nd Main event win this year, & he finalled one two weeks ago too. Has an excellent record in Sheriff in which he's a serial winner. In 4th was @alancarr12 making a rare excursion in a Main, with @aynaricol who got in via a £1.80 AIS in 5th. She ran 14th in the Mini too, so within touching distance of FTJ, & was 2nd in the £1k BH.
There should be a good reception for Mini winner @broadcast who was not only winning his first featured MTT but it's a maiden thread mention too.
We saw a surprise 9 @ 9 winner as @Jac35 prevailed. Better known these days as a decent DYM-er it's often forgotten that he's had some decent MTT scores down the years including a UKOPS Mini in 2014, a £6k BH in 2019, a Main event win in 2020, & a "Priority Main" (anyone remember them?) in 2016. Won an SPT at The Broadway in Birmingham back in the day too.
@Vertigo (who really ought to try spin-ups) was another who won his first headline MTT by taking 7 @ 7.
@Markbet only joined Sky Poker yesterday, played Sheriff (no good) but won Turbo, beating a high class FT which included Crushy (3rd), @alancarr12 (5th) & @PokaBayb9 (6th). Quite the debut night, that.
@Drewett had another productive session, winning Quickdraw, 2nd in Mega, 5th in Sheriff, & 3rd in a £300 Turbo.
Finally, @Upswing - could that be Doug Polk? - took the MidEx, his 3rd best result in over 3,500 games here, the best being an Avenger Mini earlier this year.

@KingKlich took the Main, & not before time, he's been so close so often. In the last two weeks he's been 2nd in the Major, 2nd & 6th in Gold Rush, 3rd in Marksman, 5th in Predator, & now, at last, 1st in Predator. Seems to be very profitable indeed. 2nd was @StayOrGo who later won a seat into Sheriff via an AIS & finished 6th in Sheriff itself, & 5th in Quickdraw. 6th was @Steed432 & later he was 4th in Turbo. Delighted to see @extraman make the FT (5th), he' been here forever, & is a great bloke though sadly, it's some years since I've seen him. He was a Luton regular back in the day, my oh my there were some characters in that room. If you happen to read this Norman, & do hope you are keeping well.
The Mini went to @slimmish who I know very little about, but a quick peruse tells us he won a BWBH last October & seems to have won both 7 @ 7 & the Rewards Freeroll several times, & more recently made the FT of last week's Gold Rush Main.
@weecheez1 won a satellite to Sheriff & went on to win Sheriff itself. If I'm not mistaken, it's the second time he's done that recently. He was up at SPT Glasgow last weekend & looked in fine fettle, think he shared a table with @NChanning actually.
Another who was at Glasgow was @ctbn & he took down last night's Mega. He was unwell a while back, but seems much better now, & has put back on a little bit of the weight he lost. Looks just right now, tbh.
@Tvmoney won the 9 @ 9. Only joined Sky Poker in January but despite low volume is going along nicely & seems to be well in profit.
The £800 BH went to what I assume is a QPR fan, @Superhoops.
@DeeStarz is on a roll, 2nd in the 21.30 £400 BH on Tuesday, & 1st in last night's Reload, also a 21.30 start.
It's not every day that a player rated 50 by Sharky wins MidEx, so big congrats to @GlynDwr69. Not sure how or why I know this, but I believe "glyndwr" is Welsh for "cleaner". Possibly...
Finally, & most shockingly, guess who won the 610 runner Rewards Freeroll? MOTHERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Well done @Amarie, that's an awesome result, Freeroll or not, getting past over 600 other players takes some doing. Hope you & the family are well, & please send my best wishes to the Degen Daughter.
Oh, & one more thing. @MAXALLY bubbled the Vegas satellite last night, the 837th time he's done so. He's bubbled a Vegas Final in previous years too. Hopefully he's saving his run-good for this Sunday, as he's in the last 2024 SPT Vegas Final.

Definitely most shocking for me too, but thoroughly enjoyed the game. Everyone here (including the degen daughter) are good, sadly she doesn't get much time to play poker with having two young daughters of her own and I know she misses it (and you).
Glasgow SPT was just a bit too far for travelling but fingers crossed hoping to see you and the rest of the regulars in Manchester later in the year.
