"A beautiful sunny June day & the golf course awaits, so the usual brief Saturday review.
@mrpedro707 has been here 10 years & played over 1,100 MTT's, but his 2 biggest scores have both come in the last month. In early May he won a BWBH & collected ~£1,700, & last night he took down Avenger Main and collected another £1,580. Single tabled it too. @Jscorgie was runner-up with @bbMike a fine 4th for £480 after satting in for £4.80, so he made 100 times his entry fee.
In the Mini it was a family affair as @neenio got the nod ahead of @bakersdoze. That rounded off a great week for @neenio as just 24 hours he binked a Vegas package after a barnstorming last day in the Eliminator Freerolls. In 5th was @bbMike and as he ran 4th in the Main, he picks up £150 of FTJ cash. Mike had one of those nights we all dream of;
Satted into the Main for £4.80.
4th in the Main for £480.
5th in the Mini for £201.
2nd in a £500 BH for £124.
33rd in the Rewards Freeroll for £10.
Nicked £1 in the Elim Fr.
That's some sesh, well done bbCleverBloke.
@Steed432 is building a very impressive portfolio of results, he won a Major late last year, a Hitman Main two weeks ago & last night he added BWBH. 2nd was @loosecamel which was his biggest MTT score in at least 2 years. He's mainly a cash game player, & a very successful one, with 95% of his action in cash games, but it seems like he's pretty useful at Tourneys too, though he claims not to enjoy them. Not sure I buy that.
@jams29 won 7 @ 7, the fifth time he's done so. Best result was a Gold Rush Main win 3 months ago.
Quite Tall Bloke aka @Iam6foot2 took the Rebuy BH for the 2nd time since mid April.
Having only signed up to Sky Poker 2 months ago & played just 16 MTT's, @jackiefire broke their duck in fine style with a MidEx win.
That's it, a few bits & bobs to clear up here, then Golf, then the CL Final tonight. How much better does life get?"
Similar to Wednesday, another good night for MTT traffic considering we are now well into June. In the headline MTT's overlay totalled the grand sum of £10, which was down to the Mini which missed by 2 entries. That'll do.
The Main went to @Arrogant who it is fair to say divides opinion, nobody is ambivalent towards him, they either love him or loathe him. One man who is certainly in his fan club after an incident in 2021 is @kidgrimsby. @Arroganthad won the Sunday Major, & in the following day's review, he came on thread to say this...
"Arrogant Member Posts: 209 May 2021 IPv6 I got very lucky vs kidgrimsby last night close to the final table, i think it was my qq vs his kk and i flopped a set. If possible id like kidgrimsby to have the £220 SPT entry i won in the raffle earlier this month.
Cheers"
Not too many players have ever made a gesture like that.
In the Mini, @steerer came out on top, and remarkably, that's his third Mini win this year alone, plus he's won Reloads galore. I'm not 100% certain but I seem to recall he was at SPT Brighton earlier this year.
Proudly wearing a Sheriff's hat today is @NChanning after winning Sheriff last night. Oddly, after I wrote that, it suddenly occurred to me that in all the years I've known him, I've never seen him wearing a hat. So I went to google images, & nope, hundreds of 'photos of him but none with a hat on. He does have a lovely full head of hair - especially for one of his age - so maybe going hatless is the secret. Incidentally, whilst searching for a 'photo of Neil wearing a hat, I came across this. Gotta be a story behind it, surely?
I was so pleased to see @JammyFker took down Turbo. He's the first to congratulate others when they bink a nice result, so it would be fitting if some of you came on thread & reciprocated. Palace Bloke @cpfc_2010was telling me all about @JammyFkerlast weekend, apparently he's a top lad. I'm really bad at remembering names & very good at mixing them up but I think he goes by the name of Shane. I'm gonna look pretty silly if I've got that wrong, but I've been there before.
On Wednesday @Splotchran 4th in 7 @ 7 & improved on that last night by taking the win. Only been here 6 months & mainly plays cash but seems to be profitable from the small sample of MTT's played.
Big congrats to @Pat793 who in winning the £1k Rebuy BH had his best ever result. Been here 4 years & only previous results of note have been to FT Reload twice, though to be fair has played very little.
We have not seen @tinnerzin either an MTT or a DYM for 11 months, but he suddenly popped up last night, entered MidEx & won it. How do these things happen? First game in 11 months & he wins it.
In the Vegas Quarter seats in Sunday's Semi went to @Tsaaaar@goldnballz& @Glyndwr69, & you may recall the last-named took MidEx yesterday.
That's about it for today, but before I go....
It suddenly occurred to me that maybe one reason the MTT numbers were surprisingly good this week for the time of year was the complete absence of televised Live Football, or any other Live sport on TV for that matter. Well that's about to change completely. In golf, the US Open starts next Thursday, in horse racing Royal Ascot starts on Tuesday week (though that's an afternoon affair) & of course in football, the Euros start a week today. A week today, that soon came round.
