"After the numbers were so badly impacted by the CL football on Saturday, they bounced back nicely last night, especially considering the time of year & the glorious weather.

It was Vegas Finals night, with a Quarter, Semi & Final all running back-to-back. Three more packages were awarded, going to @gez_bear & @WOW1tsANDY (both of whom qualified via the earlier Semi) & @Thoich. I expect there were plenty of hard luck stories, but maybe none as painful as @cpfc_2010 who was huge chippy on the FT but met with some misfortune & eventually seat-bubbled. His exit was a bit eye-watering too, jamming over a min-raise with A-10 suited & walking smack into the Aces. In my mind I had already mentally written "once Palace gets chips there's no stopping him" so maybe I bokked him.

@destinycod had a very interesting evening. He super late-regged the Vegas Final at 11pm (9.15pm start) & almost immediately doubled & was a close up 5th, but then things went wrong & he ended up 5th, one spot behind bubble bloke Palace. He was not done yet though, as he went on to win the Major, collecting £3,780 from a very tough FT indeed. It's his 2nd Major win in 3 just weeks, & in the same period he's also won a Summit & a Main. He really is seriously good at the pokerz. Chasing him home were @newdaddy @ozzieowen @wineli @SwannLoL & @loololollo a sort of Who's Who of Sky Poker Team Big Boy.

Many congrats to @lekski who won the Mini Major & in doing so notched his biggest score here in 14 years & 6,300 MTT's & it came just 3 months after his 2nd biggest score when winning a Reload in March of this year. Had a deep run (9th) in the 9 @ 9 too, & was back on site at 8am this morning. A much-improved player imo. Big shoutout to @ozzieowen who was 3rd in the Major & 2nd in the Mini, & so collected a nice £750 FTJ bonus. That's the 2nd FTJ payout this weekend, though I don't imagine too much sympathy will be sent Sky Poker's way.

@F_Ivanovic who is better known as a cash game player took the £5k BH with @StayOrGo 4th & @bigfatfish 6th. A very noteworthy effort by @bossquaid in 4th, which was his 4th highest cash lifetime. Paid straight in too, did not bother trying the satellite route.

Having run 3rd in Reload two nights earlier, @Irishbimbo won it last night. Interesting alias that. A few short years ago "bimbo" was in every day use, but it's very much a no-go area now. Amazing how quickly the definition of acceptable language changes.

MTT traffic was OK, with only 2 of the featured affairs overlaying (7 @ 7 & 9 @ 9), both of them, as chance would have it, missing by exactly one entry.

Sharpshooter recently had a guarantee cut from £6k to £5k but it managed £6,090, with @elvisg1972 taking 1st place. Is not on Sharky, so I have limited data on him, but as far as I can tell has won several Reloads & MidEx's and at least 9 Minis, but I can't trace him ever winning a Main before. Been here 12 years & plays rather more on the cash tables than MTT's, though does OK, especially at the latter. Playing just his 5th game here since last November, @TheBeast72 was 2nd. Young @Swifteyyeu was 4th & sems to be going the right way. Won his seat the hard way, first via a £1.60 sat then the £7.20 sat, eventually cashing for £290. Was not far off FTJ money either, finishing 20/373 in the Mini.

@calmthebap is one of the most intriguing aliases on the site, anyone have a clue what it might mean, or allude to? Anyway, Bap Bloke won the Mini, easily his best ever result here, his previous best being 2nd in the Rebuy BH for ~£170.

@ozzieowen won a star-studded Sheriff, being followed home by @LFCChris86 @NChanning @bigfatfish @Arrogant & @Limp2Lose

Other significant players in the winning enclosure included @GFKIJKLL (Turbo) @GSmith13 (Quickdraw) & @MrDooWop (MidEx).

Bad timing by @bronte_5 who won Reload on what was his 9,999th game on Sky Poker. Would have been rather neat if he'd done it 1 game later.

@stepsman1 turned up for just the 1st time in a month & 4th time in 8 months to one-table to 1st place in 7 @ 7.

The Vegas Quarter never ran, but worth noting that the very last 2024 SPT Las Vegas Quarter, Semi & Final all take place tonight. Good luck if you get involved.
