Who won what, Saturday 22nd June. mikster76 takes the Main, and a hat-trick for bigfatfish

This day last year
"Numbers were half decent for the time of year, though, rather oddly, Reload had a small miss, and MidEx had an absolute shocker.
@coopah came out on top in the Sunday Major, having won his seat in the Sunday Major Freeroll a few days earlier. Apart from the nightly Freerolls (Rewards, Sunday Major Fr & Elim Fr) does not really play MTT's. Quite a big cash game player actually, in fact 99% of his play is cash games & just 1% MTT's. And they are not figures plucked from thin air or a figure of speech, his play in his 12 years here is genuinely split 99%/1% Cash/MTT's. He played the Mini too, perhaps with an eye on the FTJ, and had a decent run to the last half dozen tables, & ran 6th in the Elim Fr. In 2nd was @Tastysnack enjoying their biggest ever cash here, beating their previous best which was for 2nd in another £100-er, Summit. Big hitters @TONY509 & @PokaBayb9 were 4th & 5th. Excellent effort in 6th by @68Trebor who won his seat via the £24 6pm Semi Final & got £657 for his troubles.
In the Mini, victory went to @imbluffinn who later ran 5th in 9 @ 9. It was his 2nd win in a Mini, though his best ever score was winning a UKOPS Mini in 2018.
@bakersdoze had his best result in a while by taking the £5k BH with @dameflop (3rd) & @HUGHMANS (5th) both enjoying a very deep run.
A solid sesh for @StayOrGo who secured a lovely win double, taking both Sheriff & Quickdraw. He also won seats via Satellites into both the £5k BH & Sunday Major, & ran 8th in the Major for £347.
After being mostly AWOL for the last week, a refreshed @NOSTRI won the £1k BH, as well as winning seats via satellites into both the £5k BH & Sheriff. I'm guessing the £5k BH never went too well, as he exited 159th of 163.
I don't know much about the 9 @ 9 winner @smith1408 but he's played 35,000 games here so I really ought to.
These days @37magic pops in every few nights & single tables Reload, & got the win last night, though if we go back to this time last year he won both the £1k BH & the £1k Rebuy BH in the space of a few weeks.
The trend of newbies winning MTT's continued, with @Scotland75 who joined Sky Poker just 3 weeks ago taking the Turbo.
In the Elim Fr @Jeni82 had a tremendous run, taking the win & 15 Heads, meaning they rocketed up the Leaderboard from joint last to clear 2nd although @Curt360x27 is 10 clear at the top. Curt is a previous SPT Las Vegas winner, so is maybe making another dash at it."

Before we start, very sad overnight news that @penguin7 passed away yesterday. One of the original "old guard" here & a smashing bloke.
MTT traffic was much better than expected last night. Maybe Belgium v Romania is not everyone's cup of tea, though, as it happens, it was a decent game. Tonight, Scotland are in action ("in action" is subjective, just as it is with England) so traffic is likely to be badly hit I assume. Hopefully I'm wrong. It'd not be the first time...
A surprise result in the Main, as @mikster76 takes 1st place on his first game in a month & 2nd game in 3 months. It was his 2nd Main Event win, the first being a 2020 boomlet Predator which came just 3 days after he won a £2,000 Turbo BH.
@DADDYWOLF took the Mini. It's rare that he plays MTT's in the evening, he tends to play more often during the day, so this chance of tack worked well. In 3rd was @Hod4k997 who also ran 6th in the Main, so he gets £150 from the FTJ kitty, which will hit his account tomorrow.
@bigfatfish was in splendid form, with three wins (an early evening £300 Rebuy, Sheriff & Quickdraw) plus 3rd in 7 @ 7 & 5th in Turbo.
We've not seen much of @aynaricol lately - life has a habit of getting in the way of poker - but she was very much in evidence last night, grabbing 1st place in 7 @ 7 & 3rd in a £300 BH.
@flopwell presumably did exactly that & makes their thread debut in winning the £800 BH.
The results just keep coming for @Cei90 who has played just 282 games but is racking up the wins. Took Mega last night, that's the 2nd time in short order, ditto 2 wins in the Rebuy BH and 4th in a Marksman Main last week.
Playing just his 2nd MTT of 2024, @mightymea took MidEx.
That'll have to do for today, it's Sunday, things to do, grass to mow, sport to watch.
