This day last year
"Nice & busy again last night, the sole exception being the Major which registered a small miss.
The Major winner was @spitfire10 & I think it's his biggest win here to date. Only plays occasionally (just 8 MTT's last month), always seems to single table, & he ran 7th in last Thursday's Hitman Main. I do recall that he was "Teeside Poker Player of the Year" in 2018, so there's that, well done Brian. 2nd was @BaBaYaGa00 who you may recall won last Friday's BWBH, so he's had a very decent weekend, & last night was his 100th MTT here.
The Mini went to @jonkirch who only seems to play MTT's on a Sunday, & usually plays just the Major & the Mini. He ran 11th in last night's Major so he was not far off FTJ monies.
Congrats to @lwwl who had his best ever result here last night in winning the £5k BH, beating his previous best which was a 2019 Sheriff.
The least surprising fact last night was a win double for @Natnug who took the £1k Rebuy & followed up with Quickdraw. A frustrating night for @loololollo who was 4th in this, 3rd in Turbo & 5th in Sheriff.
@91kid15 has played just 73 MTT's in 8 years, but he popped in last night & won Sheriff, which came exactly a week since he ran 3rd in the Major. @MAXALLY had a great result, 2nd for £262, a nice return on the £3 he spent on the All-In satellite which he won.
@spearsy136 was in the winners enclosure again, winning 9 @ 9, just 2 days after he took down a Reload.
Playing just his 3rd MTT here since April, @Peter_K won MidEx.

Well well well, the Euros returned last night, & despite attractive-looking fixtures at 5pm & 8pm, MTT numbers were solid, with not a penny of overlay to be seen. Whether we'll be so fortunate tonight is another matter, with England playing at 5pm, & Spain kicking off at 8pm. We shall see.
On to the results now, & the £5,000 Sharpshooter peeked it's head over the £6,000 line, with @MaoiChinnn taking the win. Usually a 1-tabler, & plays almost exclusively Main events, plus the occasional MidEx. Despite fairly thin volume, has has at least three previous wins, including Predator Main, Gold Rush Mini, & MidEx. And that alias? I suspect it may be named after a racehorse which won a race at Wetherby about 15 years ago at the outrageous odds of 200/1. @KOBAC has a modest Sharky rating but has been doing rather well lately, & was runner-up last night. On Thursday he was 7th in Hitman Main, & in recent months he's won the £1k BH, & made the FT of 9 @ 9, Mega (several times), 7 @ 7, & Mini.
It's exceptionally rare for back-to-back wins in the Mini, so big shoutout to @lewjax79 who won Friday's Avenger Mini & last night's Sharpshooter Mini. Later last night he also won a £500 BH. @LittleGJ continues to reap a rich harvest in the smaller stakes stuff, & was 2nd. He had a very long session, but was rewarded with wins in a £300 BH @ 13.30, the £400 BH @ 20.00, 2nd in a 13.30 £300 BH, & won a seat in a satellite to the Main. There's a player who knows what stakes he can beat & sticks to them. "Moving up stakes" is the downfall of so many players. Find a stake you can beat & stick to it imo. It's greed that does us, isn't it?
The £1k Rebuy BH takes some winning, so well done to @zeta3 who won it last night for the 2nd time in 3 nights, & at least the 3rd time in 6 months.
One of the most interesting results of the evening was in the 9 @ 9, which went to @Hazza128K who I doubt you've heard of as he only joined Sky Poker on Friday & has played just 4 games so far. He just played the 9 @ 9 on Friday, finishing 6th, then last night he played 9 @ 9 again & won it this time, and he also played 2 x £10 Turbo DYM's, winning both. So from 4 games played, 3 wins & a 6th. Very much one to keep an eye on. Unusual alias too. In 2nd was @mysteryreg with @MAXALLY in 5th.
On Friday, @lewis345 ran 5th in Reload, then returned for another bash last night & got the job done properly this time with a fine win. In 4th, & in between earning a few bob on the DYM tables was @Jac35.
@MattBates won Turbo for the 2nd time this month, that's 3 wins in total this month as he won a Reload on the same night he won the first Turbo.
That's it for today. England play at 5pm, hopefully a little less drab than the last few times.
PS - I'm likely to be travelling all day tomorrow as I have a meeting in London, so am unsure if I'll be able to do ma full write up, but at the very minimum, I'll do a Lite version.
