Its a racket.
Mine is due for renewal next month.
I am happy with my current provider.
I thought I would look at the prices yesterday.
They were offering a fiver off at £24.99.
That was not applicable as I was an existing customer, and the offer only applied to new customers.
I chatted to one of their salespeople online.
The best deal she could offer was £39.99 for one year.
They currently have a deal on their website which is £29.99, which auto renews at the end of the first year at £89.99 for year 2.
I just bought exactly the same product from Amazon for £9.49.
I wonder how many people forget about the auto renewal, and get stung.
Definitely a racket.
Back to Amazon this time next year, subsequent to cancelling the auto renewal.

Try your bank. If you have an online account they usually provide you with antivirus free of charge.

lotsa folk think its paranoid thinking and "you dont need one" but you play poker for cash regularly, you should have a firewall and antivirus running, just incase. Not doing it, esp when you can buy it for under 20£ on amazon, is pretty daft imo.

@HAYSIE norton and mcafee are good, the VPN features they have are great........there are some ok free ones as well, avast used to be top notch, but would need to do some research now, cause its been years since i used it.

and never use the auto renew feature, cause they rip you off, just uninstall and buy a new code for cheap.

I bow to your superior knowledge.
I will definitely be going back to Amazon at this time next year.
Getting 3 devices covered for less than a tenner would seem like a no brainer, but what do I know?

I'm using McAfee for one year that came free with a new laptop. It seems OK.

Otherwise, I've only ever used AVG Free and never had any problems. The bigger problem is websites holding my data being hacked.

Does this mean that an anti virus is basically a vaccination for computers.

We know some people who won't like that don't we.
