Morning.
This day last year
"Very busy today, so will have to whizz through.
Numbers were OK, though it was quite surprising to see 9 @ 9 miss, albeit only by one entry.
In the Main, despite a FT that included @loololollo (2nd) & Palace Bloke @cpfc_2010 (4th) it was @haddock214 who got all the chips, & I'm fairly sure this was a personal best in his 15 years here. Don't know much about him except I recollect he used to get involved in the Team Sky Poker fun & games.
@Bruno2111 has only been here a year or so & not put much volume in but took down last night's Mini which was far & away his best score to date.
Twice a 7 @ 7 winner, @5haun1968 who I am going to assume is in his mid-50's moved up a gear last night & won 9 @ 9.
@43bordo does not play nightly but when he does it's usually to 1-table Reload, & last night he won it for the 4th time since last Autumn.
Maybe @MAXALLY was too busy watching Andy Murray at Wimbers to play his regular schedule, but he eventually paid to play two late night/early morning affairs & the plan worked well, as he won MidEx & was 5th in a post-midnight £300 BH. If we exclude him winning a satellite to the Vegas Final, his two best cashes of 2023 have come in the last 6 days, the other one being 2nd in Sunday's Sheriff.
@AlexaAJ who got the lot on Wednesday chimed in with another win, Quickdraw this time, while super big-hitter @Natnug won the £1k Rebuy BH.
July has been frustrating for @Fabraclass as he's already been a runner-up three times (Mega, Turbo & Quickdraw) but he got off the mark last night in 7 @ 7.

MTT traffic was "OK, with just a a smidgeon of overlay, all of which - oddly - was in the later stuff, £50 in Sheriff (which had zero rebuys), £10 in the Turbo & £80 in Quickdraw.
No Euros football tonight, but it's General Election night, & I've no idea how - if at all - that will affect traffic. Incidentally, today is the 5th General Election in the UK since Sky Poker launched back in 2007 (2010, 2015, 2017, 2019 & 2024). The trolls said Sky Poker would never last, but it's 5 Prime Ministers & 17 years & 4 months now & still trundling along. Eventually I suppose they'll be right, but they may need to be patient.
The Main went to a player not everyone is familiar with, @ash066pts and maybe that unfamiliarity is because last night's Main was his first game here for over 3 months, & only his 6th MTT here this year. However, among those 6 MTT's was a win in a Mini Hitman in February. If we then go back a few more years he was quite prolific & certainly successful, with a CV that includes wins in Summit (twice), a UKOPS, 3 different Mains (Avenger, Predator & Hitman) & an £8k BH. Looks to be nicely profitable at MTT's, and he plays a bit of cash too. Welcome back Ash Bloke. The FT included 1 or 2 familiar faces in @richking & @daGrinda. Oh, & @PKRPar.
In the Mini victory went to @gingerblud who is a regular in the Minis. It was his third featured win in his 14 years here, the other two being Quickdraw & Reload, both of which were this time last year.
@claudel9 had a good night, winning both Sheriff & Turbo, though he may be a shade disappointed to see that Sharky have not listed last night's Sheriff for some reason. He has some decent scores which are on Sharky though, including 1st & 2nd in the big Sunday Night BH, runner-up in BWBH (twice), 6th in a Major, &, rather oddly, has won the Mini Major no loess than three times, plus 1 win in a regular Mini.
Quite a story here. On Sunday I wrote;
"One of the most interesting results of the evening was in the 9 @ 9, which went to @Hazza128K who I doubt you've heard of as he only joined Sky Poker on Friday & has played just 4 games so far. He just played the 9 @ 9 on Friday, finishing 6th, then last night he played 9 @ 9 again & won it this time, and he also played 2 x £10 Turbo DYM's, winning both. So from 4 games played, 3 wins & a 6th. Very much one to keep an eye on"
Well on Sunday he played 9 @ 9 again & ran 6th, on Monday he was 3rd in it, & last night - yes, you've guessed, he won it again. He's now played 12 MTT's here, of which 6 were in the 9 @ 9 where his finishing positions were 1st, 1st, 3rd, 6th, 6th & unplaced. Watch this space, as the saying goes.
Since joining Sky Poker last September @YorkCoupon has mainly played cash, with just a dozen MTT's, but maybe that will change as last night he won the £800 BH in what was, I believe, his debut in that one.
Reload went to @Panda8 who, prior to last night, seemed to specialise in UKOPS stuff, with his biggest 3 scores all coming in UKOPS events last November - 1st in a £3k BH, and 2nd & 5th in £10k Rebuy BH's. He also won TWO seats to a £500 UKOPS HR in satellites.
That's it for today. Late night tonight for most of us, watching the Election results come in. First time I can recall watching Election Night coverage was in 1964, when Harold Wilson got in. The Presenter was the late Sir Robin Day, who was the first TV broadcaster to get really aggressive with Politicians. In later years, of course, the likes of Andrew Neal took up the mantle.

Crikey, I missed that result Nick, sorry. Well done mate.
I head across to Vegas on Friday of next week, staying at Orleans first night then moving across to Palazzo the next day, then stay there until Sunday 28th. Not much poker this year, but most of what I do play will be 4 card stuff at Orleans. Am also going to try South Point, one of the PLO lads goes there regularly & tells me it's great for PLO PLO8 & Big O.
