"In my best excuse yet for a short report, I was up until 5am watching the WSOP Main Event stream. What a Tourney that is, far & away the greatest (poker) show in town. I've had 2 hours sleep & I've got acute brain fog. I used to be able to pull back to back all nighters & still do a days work, but the ageing process is ruthlessly efficient.
Traffic was decent enough again, very much so on the cash tables thanks to the 2XPoints Promo.
The Sharky graph of @LittleGJ has lurched further upwards, 10 days ago they won the Hitman Mini, last night it was the Marksman Main. It was their 2nd Main Event win, both this year. Best ever score was 4th in a 2021 Sunday Major. Seems to be on the upgrade. Good efforts by @ILIKE2FISH (3rd) & @bossquaid, who was 6th in Friday's Avenger Main, (4th). The wonderfully entertaining & real-life high flyer @boggo was close to FTJ money, 9th in the Main, 4th in the Mini.
It's really good to see @F_Ivanovic back amongst us, & he took the Mini from just two games played (Main & Mini), though I daresay he played Cash too, as he's a big & very profitable cash game player. Runner-up was @Toffeeandy who I gather plays golf off a handicap of about 3. That's seriously good.
By way of a change our resident Big Unit @Shrimpy28 actually did a win by taking 9 @ 9. In fact he had two wins yesterday, as he won a £200 BH that kicked off at 3pm. He was also 4th in a little BH that started at 09.45. His first game yesterday was 0945, his last one was MidEx. What a life, got 4 saucepans and a trouble & still somehow managed to spend 15 hours on site pokering. There's a man who has got life sorted.
A rare feat by @MrsParisxx who won 7 @ 7 five nights ago & did so again last night.
Mr @Arrogant took the £1k BH, with @bettingben (who won it one night last week) in 3rd. @zolabud121 was doing well until tripping up & eventually finished 2nd.
@platinum4 does exceptionally well in the Rebuy BH & won it again last night, after making the FT 4 nights earlier. Has some solid form in the book, including 1st place in that Sunday night £5k BH in May of this year.
A blank day at the Euros, so no excuses, & none were needed as numbers were very good for time of year. Oddly, the only one that overlaid was Reload, which is the last one I'd have expected to miss. The glorious uncertainty of poker traffic, eh?
The £10,000 Major came in at a surprising £11,700 & when the dust settled it as @BSquelch who triumphed. Been here 3 years bit played very little, even so seems to be exceptionally good. In the last 3 weeks has played just 7 MTT's & results include 1st in Mega (£350), 3rd in Summit (~£543) & now 1st in Major for £3,276. Not sure why he does not play more here, he'd do very well indeed by the looks of it, but maybe he casts his net in deeper waters. The other podium spots were gloriously predictable, @AlexaAJ& @seikus. Carl aka @mohican played two £3 All-In sats, won the 2nd one, & ended up a very fine 6th for over £600. Has a few nice results in the book including wins in Avenger Main & a Mini Roller. In "Live" poker he has exactly one entry on his Hendon Mob profile, so that's not very good. It was for £40,000 though... Last night's Major FT bubblers were all pretty handy, with 7th, 8th & 9th going to @PBKR@Froozle & @destinycod, the latter two of course being very handy. @NChanning, having presumably pulled an all-nighter on Election Night, recovered sufficiently to finish 17th, & in fact he was 20th in the Mini too so not far off FTJ. The mind boggles at the thought of him winning the £5,000 FTJ, the Poker Manager's face as he signed the cheque* would have been a picture.
* It just occurred to me I can't recall the last time I signed a cheque, it must have been at least 20 years ago. Don't miss them one bit tbh, gotta love plastic.
There was a quickfire double for @bakersdoze who win the Mini Major & followed up by taking the £300 BH which kicked off 15 minutes later. Has a good selection of wins on his CV including 4 Main event wins, 3 of which were this year. For a Mini, it had a ridiculously tough podium, with @Gambelo & @Super_Oli on the lower steps.
We saw a wonderfully stunning result in the £5k BH which went to @sogenius. Only joined us earlier this year, never showed much until now. Gained entry via a £3.60 satellite & by winning the target event turned it into £1,015. Biggest win prior to that? £40, for winning a £2 entry £100 Deep Stack. If you enjoy those sort of things, have a glance at his Sharky graph this morning, it's proper com. Who's a clever boy then Mr Genius? 2nd was @bearlytherwho was also 2nd in 7 @ 7 & 3rd in the £800 BH. A terrific effort by @River_Foxto finish 3rd. Historically, has a few really nice scores, including 1st in a £55 entry £4,000 BH just over 10 years ago & 2nd in a Summit 5 years ago.
The Big Boys had their usual quota of successes. @loololollo took Sheriff, with @AlexaAJ2nd. In fact @AlexaAJhit the woodwork three times last night, 2nd in the Major, 2nd in Sheriff & 2nd in Turbo. Turbo went to @seikuswho also won a £300 BH & was 3rd in the Major. Reload went to @PKRParbut it's stretching things to call him a "Big Boy" unless we are talking waistlines. 2nd in Reload was @CuddlyPug who is on a remarkable run of form, won Sharpshooter Mini 24 hours earlier, & a 9 @ 9 last week if I'm not mistaken.
Talking of 9 @ 9, last night's renewal went to @K1ng_Airk0 who was 2nd in Friday's Reload.
@BeachBodywon Mega, & I noticed Grumpy Growly Reg aka @The--Don in 6th, who seems to be in sparkling form at the moment, with at least 18 FT's here in the last 2 or 3 weeks. Bit of a Moaning Minnie, mostly when his varicose veins give him gip, but he loves it here really.
Think that's enough for today, don't want you nodding off.
No Euros tonight, but semi finals tomorrow & Wednesday, both at 8pm, with the latter featuring England. Shudder to think of the Wednesday night overlay, it's gonna be proper messy.
@Tikay10 Cheers. Very decent ROI on those AI sats. Don't play many freeze out tournaments so a little change in strategy was required, especially as there was a lot of laddering going on by the small stacks. That said, I did call a 5 bb AI with J 8 from the BB and a healthy stack, can't believe they had the cheek to have QQ. Can also add £25 to the ROI as I didn't go to the 4 0'clock club for a few Guinness on a Sunday as is my want when I'm on nights on Monday.
@BeachBodywon Mega, & I noticed Grumpy Growly Reg aka @The_Don90 in 6th, who seems to be in sparkling form at the moment, with at least 18 FT's here in the last 2 or 3 weeks. Bit of a Moaning Minnie, mostly when his varicose veins give him gip, but he loves it here really.

Sadly as much as I want to I can't claim regi's results
