This day last year
"After being understandably a little disappointed to run 2nd in Wednesday's Main, @bakersdoze will have been elated to go one spot better last night. I was quite surprised to see it was his maiden Main event win, though he did take down the Sunday night £5k BH three weeks ago. I can't wait for him to win his 13th Main... 2nd was Super Senior @glencoelad with Super Duper Turbo Senior @HAYSIE continued his remarkable recent sequence of deep runs in Mains by finishing 4th. I suspect he talks them into submission.
@butters08 @Buttafngrs & @Burtace123 all on the FT. @butters08 came out top of the pile, & a glance at his CV suggests he's something of an expert in Freerolls, having won numerous Sunday Major, Reward & UKOPS Freerolls down the years.
In Sheriff, @Bradstent won an All-In sat at 9.02pm & went on to win the proper thing for around £440 with that man @Buttafngrs who was 4th in the Mini going one better here.
I amused myself for 10 minutes this morning by trying to work out what the alias @GFYSYFF stood for, the first 4 letters were easy, the last three took a little longer. Anyway, he had a lovely session, running 2nd in the £1k Rebuy BH before standing on the top step of the Mega podium.
Special congrats must go to @Hod4k997 who took down the £1k Rebuy BH for the 2nd time in 3 nights. That thing is not easy to win with everyone mashing the rebuy button. I noticed one player had 7 rebuys + an add-on & still failed to make the Top 50.
@MARK277 did that 1-2 thing in 7 @ 7, runner-up on Wednesday, 1st last night. It was the first time he's won 7 @ 7 & was well overdue as he's finished 2nd in it no less than 7 times.
@WOW1tsANDY continues his excellent run of form, winning Quickdraw, 3rd in Turbo, & taking down the 9.30pm £400 BH, this coming just 24 hours after he came out best in 9 @ 9.
@K_1rving is enjoying a rich vein of form too, winning MidEx & 3rd in Quickdraw, which he won the previous night.
@swearword took the Rebuy BH in which one very good player had 8 rebuys & still failed to finish inside the top 140. When it's not your night there's not much you can do no matter how good you are.

England have this annoying habit of leaving it until the last minute, & they did it again last night. At least we avoided ET &/or Pens. If we could be 3-0 up - or down - at half time, viewers would come across to poker, but when the result is in doubt, poker has no chance. And so, as expected, there was overly all over the shop last night, & in fact the 10pm Turbo did not even run as it had just 2 entries at the scheduled start time. The £4,000 Main suffered worst, with overlay at £1,120, but every featured MTT from 6.30pm until Reload at 9.30pm missed. After Turbo failed to get enough runners, Quickdraw & MidEx both covered comfortably. I have no idea how the Suits view these things, but personally, I thought the numbers were better than expected, all things considered. Oh, & just for rubs, there was a small FTJ, £200. Don't even want to think about what sort of numbers to expect on Sunday night....
Pretty sure the Main Event winner was trolling Sky Poker, as I assume @leftarmove is a cricket fan. Anyway, he took the win & with it the lion's share of the overlay. Howzat? Only seems to play 8pm Mains & this was just his 8th MTT since late March. Was 6th in Sharpshooter end of June, and going back through the archives, it looks like he's won the Main a handful of times. 2nd was @tartu who has some cracking results, the best of which was winning a big Sunday Major in 2021, for which he collected some £4,400. In 3rd was @bearlyther with @NOSTRI, who somehow managed to tear himself away from watching the football, in 5th.
In the Mini, @bsa1972 gets the Gold Star in 1st place. @bearlyther was 5th & as he was also 3rd in the Main, he collects a £200 FTJ bonus. PS - if you are reading this @bearlyther, please be patient, as payment may not be possible today, as we are a bit thin on staff.
@T_Bundy murdered the Sheriff. He's another with a decent CV, which includes wins in a Sunday Major and an Avenger Main. That man @bearlyther was 2nd, so he had quite the night - 3rd in the Main, 5th in Mini, 2nd in Sheriff, 2nd in a £300 BH, & he won several satellites too. In 3rd was Mr Channing @NChanning who I imagine late-regged after watching the football.
Reload went to @maccol who has wins galore, including a 7 @ 7 last month.
After running 2nd in Monday's 9 @ 9, @TURN_IT_IN won last night's Mega. His only other MTT last night was the Mini, so he turned a nice bit of profit on the night.
MidEx went to @MaoiChinnn who has a nice selection of results in the last few years including wins in Main & Mini, plus MidEx several times.
For the 2nd time recently, @fitza89 took the Rebuy BH, other recent wins seem to come almost monthly & includes 7 @ 7, Turbo & Reload.
@Nicola2015 who won a MidEx last year, took the 9 @ 9.
That's about it for today.
I'm off to Vegas tomorrow, and due to a geo-block I doubt I'll be permitted to access the Forum or even Sky Poker. For Regulatory reasons they are very strict about it, so I doubt there's anything I can do to circumvent it. Therefore this will probably be the last Daily Report until I get back, which will be the last Monday in July. Somehow, I have a hunch you'll cope without me.
