What happens if Biden resigns or dies before Trump is sworn in? Harris becomes President for a couple of months?
Short answer. Yes. (Although probably not the Title of President) Longer answer. She would have to be mindful of the will of the people going forward.
Most outgoing Presidents put their personal feelings to 1 side. Do very little of consequence in relation to long-term change. And facilitate a smooth transition. Something that I believe Harris would be able to do better than Biden.
I can only think of 1 outgoing President who did not do that

Ben Habib is undoubtedly a racist. But he doesn't get called out for it as much. In reality, people of all races can be racist.
Just like there are certain immigrants who have an incredibly intolerant attitude in relation to immigration. To give a topical example, the South African, then Canadian, now American Elon Musk.
PS. Ben Habib was removed as Chairman. It is now Muhammad Yusuf. Mr Habib's views on letting boat people drown was too much even for Reform

2020 election was 81 million Dem to 74 million Rep So far (with few votes to come) it is 66 million Harris to 71 million to Trump.
That's (so far) an extra 18 million Americans who seem to not want to vote for either of them. More former Democrats-but even Trump's vote is down from when he was a loser.

I laughed but then felt guilty. The mental demise of this man, so public and so ridiculed has been very sad to watch. He lost his wife and one year old daughter in a car accident when he was 30, that's a huge loss and he considered suicide, yet he went on to become president. Whatever your political leanings let's try and remember him for who he was not his decline.
