    Trump

Oliver North and Iran - Contra.

    Blair and the missing WMD.

    Jeremy Thorpe

    Jeffery Archer

Almost put Enoch Powell in ahead of Thorpe but felt that the Jeremy Thorpe / Norman Scott scandal probably had more lasting effect regarding public attitudes to homosexuality than Powell did towards racism

Ahh yes, Jeremy Thorpe is a good shout in so many ways. What a story that was.

Fair point. It went on for so long, it almost seemed to be part of life. It was, of course, abhorrent in every way. Probably THE most "lifetime" news story.

And I don't say that having a side in it.

Killing innocent civilians to further political ends has no place in a civilised society.

The Good Friday Agreement was remarkable.

Certainly was, & huge respect to all those who helped negotiate it.
