Overlay? What that? A decent night all round, made even better by those wonderful anti-racism marches right across the UK.
A lovely story in the Main as @varley took the Win. He's been here 15 years & played 1,934 MTT's & this was his 2nd biggest win all-time, beaten only by 1st place in a 2019 Marksman Main. Students of the form-book might have seen this coming, as in recent Main Events he's showed much improved form, finishing 2nd (23rd July) 4th (15th July) & 10th (30th July). Very well done @varley. 2nd was @tartu who has also done well in recent Mains, winning a Hitman on July 4th & 2nd in a Hitman 6 days later. 3rd was @Sharki0 with @RUTSTER19 who won a Hitman Main 4 weeks ago in 4th. @loololollo was 5th but things went better elsewhere as we shall see, with @Super_Oli the smiling assassin in 6th. Later in the evening Oli Bloke had a lovely little double, winning a £300 BH & a £200 BH in the space of an hour.
The Mini went to @Arrogant who it is fair to say divides opinions, but it's hard to forget incidents like this, from a few years ago...
"I got very lucky vs @kidgrimsby last night close to the final table, i think it was my qq vs his kk and i flopped a set.
If possible id like kidgrimsby to have the £220 SPT entry i won in the raffle earlier this month."
I doubt many - any? - of his detractors have ever done that.
2nd was @ToddB who won a free entry to the Main but finished down the field, although he did collect a bounty, but 2nd in the Mini for £132 probably made up for it.
@loololollo had one of those sessions us mere mortals can only dream about. 1st in 7 @ 7, 1st in Turbo, 1st in a £300 BH, 3rd in Mega, 5th in the Main, & 11th in 9 @ 9. He's ridiculously good, if he were a racehorse in a handicap he'd be top weight for sure, probably with a 7lb penalty too.
The £800 BH went to @sweedy1 who has been here around 13 years. Previous successes include wins in Mini Sharpshooter, £1k BH & a UKOPS Rewards Freeroll. Low volume, but seems to turn a profit overall.
@SilvaGrime enjoyed their first ever featured MTT win when taking the Rebuy BH. Only other mention was when 3rd in Reload 2 months ago, although for balance, is very low volume.
The wonderfully consistent @seikus won Sheriff & was 2nd in Quickdraw. It was their 3rd Sheriff win in about 10 days, & I shudder to think how many times they've won it in total. I don't usually mention @seikus wins as there are so many, but I know absolutely nothing about them, I don't even know if they are male or female.
The rise & rise of @Panda8 continues & they had another good night, winning the 9 @ 9, a £300 BH, & two seats in satellites to the Main. First sprung to prominence in last Autumn's UKOPS, when winning a £3k BH, as well as 2nd in two £10k Rebuys.
@sjl1973 is in good nick & won MidEx. Has already made 2 Main Event FT's in August, (5th in Hitman, 2nd in Gold Rush).
