MTT traffic was probably about as expected, with just three very small misses, being 7 @ 7, Reload, &, quite remarkably, the 19.18 PLO8 missed, albeit only by a single entry. Very rare indeed for that one to miss. Was very good to see that after failing to run on Friday - not enough runners - the SPT Semi Final ran last night.
The £5,000 Sharpshooter Main made £5,730 & it was @gogogadget who prevailed. Played some 5,139 MTT's in his 13 years here & this was his 2nd best score, beaten only by 1st place in a Gold Rush Main last year. Is building up a really decent CV, in addition to two Mains, wins include 2 Minis, a Reload, a 9 @ 9 & 4 Megas. He actually saved Sky Poker a lot of money by beating @Sloppy33 into 2nd place as Sloppy Bloke ran 3rd in Mini so there were big FTJ implications. Fair play to @Sloppy33 though, been here 3 months & played around 476 games, and his biggest win until last night was a Mini two weeks ago. 2nd last night was worth around £600, more than double his previous best. He also collected ~£100 for 3rd in the Mini, plus he gets a £750 cash bonus from the FTJ kitty, so about £1,450 on the night. Very nice.
@HurriKane blows hot & cold and it seems last night he was on his game, as he won the Mini, with @robert1958 in 2nd & our Sloppy friend in 3rd.
In 2 years here @kimbojaz seems to have played very little, just 60 odd games, but he had an excellent evening, winning Sheriff & then making it a double an hour or two later by taking down a £300 BH.
7 & 7 went to @maddog74 who was 2nd in Mega earlier this week.
@corlex only plays once or twice a week, always the Rebuy BH, and after running 7th a few attempts ago he got the win last night.
@oldscrote seems to do well in that 6.15pm £300 Rebuy, having finished 2nd & 3rd in his last 2 attempts at it, but last night he stepped up in class & won Mega.
Mainly a cash game player, @Preston 26 took MidEx, which is only his 2nd ever thread mention, the other for winning Turbo this time last year.
In the SPT Semi, the very first two seats went to two SPT regulars, @karlluke & @Kahuna96. The SPT Manchester is in less than 3 weeks time.
Think that's about it for today, it's a gloriously sunny day & I almost feel guilty being indoors.
Oh, one other thing - tomorrow (Monday) there won't be a write-up as I'll be AWOL from around 7am, but I'll try to do a "Lite" version before I disappear.
