I hope that the words and decisions of the professionals don't come to be something they regret.

At a Parole Board hearing in July, two psychologists said they were recommending that Ling should be released, although they added that he should be placed on a risk-management plan.

Psychologist A said she believed the risk Ling posed was “not imminent” and was “manageable in the community”, adding: “I believe that now means his risk is at a level where he does not need to be kept in prison any more.”

After luring her to his home, Ling raped Ms Tulip, a hairdresser, before stabbing her 60 times. He carved images on her body including swastikas and crosses.

In its published ruling, the board said it had concluded that Ling posed a medium risk of causing serious harm but was unlikely to do so unless there was a “significant change” in his circumstances.

@HAYSIE just a thought but a lot of people don't like clicking on links and therefor don't read the actual post, even if you was to copy/paste the first paragraph or two more people might the read the full article.

You often crop up on posts stating this same thing, I'm not disagreeing with your views if you generally believe them but can you post an actual anti-semitic post that has been allowed to remain on the forum.

@lucy4 is replying to @DoubleMe, not you.

@lucy4 has not posted anything antisemitic on here, nor have you, & nor has anyone else, or not that I've seen.

There has been criticism of both sides of the conflict, & so there should be, both have wronged. The civilians on both sides are the ones that matter, & ALL of them deserve our sympathy.

there was literally someone that posted something to the effect of "**** jewish animals"

that was deemed not anti semetic so not quite sure where the forum would define the bar for anti semeticism to be.

I guess if we defined it as if I was to take the racial label of jew or jewish out and substitute it in for most other races and edit the comment just enough purely to not make it clear it was referring to jews and that the other race mentioned may be where the quote was reffering to would people cry racist?

and on that one the answer is absolutely yes.

Well I shouldnt be so touchy then should I?

Although I am also a little confused.
I posted the article purely because I thought there may be some debate around whether or not granting the guy parole would be seen as reasonable.
The murder happened 26 years ago, and I fail to see any relevance to what is going on today.

There was no mention of anti this or anti that in the original post, just a story of how someone who can commit such a crime is deemed safe to be released from prison. It just goes to show (on a very minute scale) how peoples beliefs can distort a story to their own agenda (and no @HAYSIE that is not a dig at you).

If I had seen that, I would have removed it.

If you see stuff like that, the sensible thing to do is ping me a Personal Message & I'll deal with it promptly, which is exactly what everyone else does, then I sort it. As you well know.

And please remember just because people may occassionally criticise Israel, or Jewish people, it does not mean they are antisemitic. Israel & Jewish people are not beyond criticism, they are not perfect, nor is any other Nation or Religion.

    Let's move on now please.
