"Before we do a brief review of Saturday's action, a quick note about the stunning performance on Friday by @claudel9. (There was no write-up on Saturday). 5th in the Main & 3rd in the Mini, which gets him £250 from the FTJ, plus he was runner-up in the £110 BWBH. That's quite a night by any standards. Well done.
Back to last night now, the MTT's were lovely & busy last night, spearheaded by the £6,000 Sharpshooter which made £7,200 (on the equivalent Saturday last year it made £6,030). Winter must be on it's way.
Winner of that lumpy Sharpshooter Main was @jrdrinkler who has a decent CV which includes wins in Avenger Main & the Sunday night £5k BH.
The Mini did well too, up 10% y-o-y at £2,325 with @FAS coming out on top. Was a good 24 hours for him, as he won Friday's 9 @ 9 too.
Quickdraw made a healthy £1,500+ & it was the in-form @bossquaid who took the top spot. What a run he's having, in the last week alone he's now won Quickdraw, Mega, a seat to SPT Manchester & been 4th in BWBH. His best result lifetime on Sky Poker was winning a Gold Rush in March of this year, but I fancy it won't be long before he beats that.
It's just shy of 7 months since @Rob_Gath last played an MTT here until he showed up last night & single-tabled to the win in the £1k BH. Somehow doubt it'll be 7 months before we see him again.
@Foxy41 was the FT bubbler in the 7 @ 7 but made no mistake in the 9 @ 9, taking the win. Looks like his first featured MTT win since he won the £1k Rebuy BH two months ago.
@jo90mark plays on average 1 MTT per week, almost always Reload, & did so last night, taking 1st place.
The SPT Semi got away again, with @Dousan86 & @Vertigo both winning their first seat to Manchester, with @Jessieak picking up a handy £100 in 3rd place.
Traffic was OK, the only overlay was about £50 in Reload. The £6,000 Main made a juicy £8,300, the £3k Mini came in just shy of £4,000, & the £4,000 BWBH comfortably topped £5,000. Worth noting though that Party Poker was "down" for most of the evening, so maybe a few of their customers wandered across to Sky Poker.
Friday night has the Main everyone wants to win, Avenger, & it was @HUGHMANS who prevailed. It's his 2nd Main event win this year too, as he won a Gold Rush in late February. He had quite a night last night actually, he got into Avenger via a £1.20 All-In sat, eventually going home with some £1,475. He also won a £110 BWBH seat in a £2.40 Frenzy. And it's only a week or so since he came close to FTJ cash, running 2nd in the Mini & 9th in Main. A popular winner I would imagine, assuming there is such a thing, given that so many poker players are bad losers.
A wonderful evening for @Bakersdoze, who won BWBH - his biggest ever win here - & for good measure, followed up with 1st place in the other 9pm MTT, the 9 @ 9. He's now won 4 featured MTT's in September which is not even half-done yet, as in addition to last night's brace he won Reload on Wednesday and Quickdraw last Thursday.
The other big news was a win for @MattBates who took Reload. It was his 4th win since returning to Sky Poker in the summer after a 9 month break - 2 Turbos & 2 Reloads.
@Doooobstook Turbo, the 3rd time he's done so this year, 2024 wins also include 2 Quickdraws, 2 MidEx, & 2nd in a Sunday Major. Not bad considering he's put in much lower volume this year, partly, I suspect, as he has two (?) Daughters who are at "that age" where Dad is needed for all sorts of assorted tasks, especially taxi-driver.
@kc66 has suddenly seemed to find some form, on Tuesday he won the £800 BH, next night he was 2nd in the Rebuy BH & last night he went one better & won the Rebuy BH.
Two nights after finishing 4th in Mega, @ACEJAYCE one-tabled his way to 1st place in 7 @ 7.
I'm assuming @Bawfizzle loves the Mega, as he won it last night for the 4th time in as many months.
That's it for today, a veritable feast of televised football this weekend, happy days. There's also the Solheim Cup, although much as Women's golf is a wonderful spectacle, I find it hard to imagine anyone enjoys watching all the associated hoo-hah that accompanies the Solheim Cup & it's big brother, the Ryder Cup. Ugh.

Yes, I took a look late evening & you were out with the washing, so I was well surprised when I saw you'd won it. Makes it all the sweeter I guess.
