This day last year
"MTT numbers were solid again, in line with the recent trend, & that was despite Forest v Burnley on TV. Tonight sees the start of the Champions League Group Stages, with Newcastle United playing at 5.45pm, plus Celtic & Manchester United both featuring in 8pm kick offs. Oddly, the best match might be the 5.45pm affair, so maybe the effect on MTT traffic won't be too bad.
The £5,000 Main (recently upgraded from £4,000) came in just short of £6,000 with @Skipper151 being the winner. Does not appear to have much winning history at this level & this was his first Main Event win, though he did take down the Sunday night £5k BH back in May. 2nd was @FlynTimber who won a Gold Rush Main last month. Last Wednesday's Predator Main winner @BigDane was 3rd, so quite a tough podium.
It looked a tough Mini FT with big-hitter @seikus coming out on top ahead of @Woebegone. In 3rd was @MAXALLY who was making his 4th Mini FT in just under a month, with finishing positions of 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th. 2nd must be next, surely? 4th was @chkngeorge who was playing on a free entry from a Forum Comp.
2 more wins by @bearlyther (£1k BH & Turbo), who was also 6th in Mega & won two seats to the Main. Sharky now have him as a 6 figure winner in Sky Poker MTT's.
@loololollo won the 7 @ 7 & is fast approaching £400,000 in profit in Sky Poker MTT's if Sharky is to be believed.
@nickkay is only an occasional player these days, just 8 MTT's in the last three weeks but secured a popular win in the £1k Rebuy BH. He went through a tough time personally a few years ago (family illness) so hopefully times are better for him now.
9 @ 9 went to @GREGSTER which will be some consolation for finishing 2nd in it a week or so ago. This month's results also include 2nd in a Mega & 3rd in a Reload.
@hhammerhea won Mega, his 3rd featured MTT win this month, adding it to both 7 @ 7 & 9 @ 9 already in the bag.
It's a thread debut for Reload winner @glen77612 who comes on most evenings around 9 or 10pm & plays a couple of MTT's in the £2 to £5 stakes level.
There was another thread debut in MidEx which went to Sky Poker newbie @Neighbours who has only been here a week.
@Drewett has been a little quiet of late but bounced back to winning ways in MidEx. Does very well in the Sunday Major, with finishing positions that include 1st, 1st, 2nd, 4th, 4th, 4th & 6th.
With SPT Manchester just days away, no surprise to see the Semi make 3 seats again. Winners were @Natnug (first player to win 3 seats), @Vertigo (2nd seat) & @Jay119 (1st seat)."

MTT traffic was pretty much as expected, with just 3 bits of overlay. Oddly, one of them was Reload, which missed by a surprising £153.
The Major, unsurprisingly, had 5 very good players at the FT - @Panda8 @Hoff92 @FeelGroggy @grinddd & @SoLack. @HAYSIE also finalled, in fact he was chip leader for a while. For the winner, @Panda8 it was a sensational result, his previous PB on Sky Poker was around £1,300, last night he got £3,220.50. Curiously, until last night, his 3 biggest scores were all in UKOPS events. He was not done yet though, as he also ran 4th in the Mini for another £99, & that meant he qualified for the FTJ which gave him another £750, so all in all over £4,000 Congratulations @Panda8, that's just wonderful. Congrats also, of course, to @Hoff92 @FeelGroggy @grinddd and @Solack. The great & good of Sky Poker were mostly there or thereabouts, with @NChanning in 7th, & the likes of @Gambelo @Mikeyw94 @PokaBayb9 & @GSmith13 all in the money spots. Oh, & @HAYSIE was 5th.
The finish of the Mini was all go, with the notorious @gobbleoff getting the better of @gogogadget.
A big result in the £5k BH for @linlithgow who won a Gold Rush Main in the Spring of 2023. In 3rd was @FeelGroggy which was the same place he occupied in the Major. Most of us would be thrilled with 2 x 3rd places but he'll probably be a shade disappointed. It's all relative, isn't it?
The ultra consistent @seikus had (yet another) win double, Rebuy BH & Reload this time.
A very pleasing result in 9 @ 9 which went to Sky Poker veteran @kidgrimsby, well done Dave.
@woody207 rounded off a good week by wining Mega, having accomplished the rare feat of making the FT of the Mini on consecutive nights, Wednesday & Thursday.
@braggars12 makes a fine thread debut, firstly winning 7 @ 7 & following up with 6th in 9 @ 9, those being the only 2 MTT's he played last night.
There was also a thread debut for @mary1962 who may or may not be a young lady & may or may not be 62 years old.
Sheriff went to @Froozle, with @NChanning who was 7th in the Major running running 3rd.
@PAPABURG is having a good September, winning last night's Turbo for the 2nd time this month, has also won a Rebuy BH, been 2nd in a Main & 3rd in a Summit.
That's about it. There's good football on TV every night this week including the new format Champions League so I'm not sure what that will do to traffic. Guess we'll see soon enough.
