"With attractive Champions League games on TV at 8pm (both Arsenal & Man U were in action) traffic was bound to be impacted, & we saw a chunky lump of overlay in the Main, & even the Mini missed, albeit only by a single entry, for which I blame @HAYSIE who never bothered to entry as he was too busy arguing with poor Vicky. Later in the evening traffic returned to normal levels. Tonight it's Europa League, & we have plenty of UK action with Liverpool, Brighton, Villa, West Ham & even Rangers in action.
Exactly two weeks ago @pokarito won the Mini, one week ago he ran 4th in the Main & last night he won the Main. Very much a Wednesday Guy it seems. 2nd was @grinddd who had a great sesh, 2nd in Main, 4th in 9 @ 9, 3rd in Turbo & 2nd in Quickdraw, and don't forget he won Sunday's Major too, so quite a week. Sunday's £6k BH winner @nutcr4ck30 was 3rd with another recent £6k BH winner @NOSTRI in 4th. He ran 3rd in Mega too.
The mysterious @mysteryreg won the Mini, was 4th in 7 @ 7 & 6th in MidEx. He's cashing for fun right now, having now made no less than 19 Featured MTT Final Tables in September alone.
@goeasyonme took the 9 @ 9 & made three other FT's. It was his maiden 9 @ 9 win, but he's won two Minis.
@Drewett won Turbo for the 2nd straight night, & that makes it a three day hat trick as he won Monday's Quickdraw too.
We don't see much of @dirtharry on these threads but maybe that's about to change as he seems to have hit form. Last Friday he took the 7 @ 7, & last night he won both the £1k BH @ 18.30 and a £400 BH later in the evening, which I guess made his day.
@jackal666 won the £1k Rebuy BH for the 2nd time this year.
The SPT Semi made 3 seats, all of whom were first time winners. @kidgirgytook one, so that means we'll see both Sue & Dave in Manchester. I was quite surprised to see that it was also a first seat for @johnmonty but upon delving deeper it was his 5th attempt & he'd bubbled 3 of the previous 4. The third seat went to a relative stranger, @1010runner who tried a few nights earlier, prior to which his last MTT here was back in February, when he tried to qualify for the first SPT of 2023, also in Manchester.
That's it for today. Due to SPT Manchester, there will only be "Lite" Results threads for the next 4 days, normal service will resume on Tuesday."
A few bad numbers last night, with the Main & Summit missing by a combined £1,050 (£400 + £650). There was some delicious football on TV including two great Champions League ties involving Villa & Liverpool, so the finger of blame points clearly in that direction. There's a good schedule of football tonight, too. It is what it is.
The Main went to @Nero543 and for those not fully up to speed on the Roman empire, he was best known for his debauchery. Just thought I'd mention that as debauchery is such a great term which we rarely see these days. I should add that I'm quite sure that @Nero543 does not feature in the naughty rankings & nor does not get involved in too much bauching. Either way, he's in great form as he won Avenger Mini last Friday too. Talking of players in great form, last week's edition of Gold Rush Main went to @NChanning & he so nearly pulled off the double last night, before having to settle for 2nd place. He was 7th in Sunday's Major too. With @Upswing 3rd & Dog Bloke @rspca12 in 4th it looked like a really tough FT.
The Mini went to @Ryanross who I'm sure has won it several times previously, but my Forum Search seems to be playing up & I can't find his results. In 4th was @Upswing who had a pretty decent night, as he won a £110 Summit seat for £2.40, was 3rd in the Main, 5th in the Mini, & collected a nice £200 cash bonus from the FTJ thing. Very nice. The unusual & perhaps dubious honour of running 6th in the Mini for the 2nd straight night goes to @aynaricol who it seems was not, as I suggested, gallivanting, but in fact took a little poker break. Most of us get pokered out at times but very few take a break, probably because we are or were addicted. Poker addiction does not get much mention but it's a very real thing.
Talking of Summit, last night's renewal went to the highly rated @Drewettwho won a Gold Rush Main back in June. It was his first Summit victory, but he has a terrific record in the Sunday Major with TEN final tables, with finishing positions of 1st (twice), 2nd, 3rd, 4th (3 times) & 6th 3 times. Has also won 4 regular Mains & a UKOPS. @Jessieak& @ILIKE2FISH both of whom are very consistent filled the lower podium steps.

Team Big Boy managed 3 wins, with @StayOrGo taking Turbo, @Curt360x27 the MidEx, & @Hod4k997 the Mega.
There was a thread debut for the Rebuy BH winner @tonewar & the same applies to the £800 BH winner @Jubbles69
A decent session for @funkybunch who won 9 @ 9 & was 5th in the Main.
Sorry today's write-up is a bit thin on background, but my Forum Search facility is having a funny turn.
