This day last year
"Sprightly numbers again last night. Avenger Main made £8,940 (£8,000 G'tee), same day last year it had a £6k guarantee & made £7,620. In the BWBH, it missed it's £5,000 guarantee by £400, last year, with a £4,000 guarantee, it made £3,700. So decent y-o-y increases.
In the Avenger Main, the man that Customer Care Centres across the country dread, @HAYSIE topped the field. Only had a single Rebuy & addon too. Surprisingly, he never entered the Mini, so no chance of a FTJ. It was the 2nd time he's won Avenger Main, & he's won various other Mains dozens of times, literally. Not bad for a man of his considerable age.
@stav464 took the Mini, & as far as I can tell, that's far & away his personal best. in 5th was Mr @NOSTRI who had a decent night, as he was also 2nd in the Rebuy BH & won a seat into the £110 BWBH for £24.
@Gutshotter must love Friday's, he won BWBH for a PB, having won Avenger Main in June & twice an Avenger Mini winner. A splendid effort by @HUGHMANS to finish 2nd (won his seat for £2.40), especially as he's mainly a cash game player. Has some decent MTT scores though, including a Gold Rush Main last November.
A fabulous result in the £1k BH which @beaky won for the 2nd straight night. 2nd was @aynaricol who you may recall cashed in the SPT last weekend, so hopefully her nasty downturn is history now. She's been back on site this morning & made 4 FT's before 0945, which takes some doing even though they are small fields.
@bettingben was busy. Won 7 @ 7, won seats into BWBH & Main via satellites, & had a deep run into 15th in the Main.
@Breizh29 has suddenly hit a golden patch, on Wednesday he won Quickdraw, & he followed up last night by taking Turbo.
The night's toughest FT may well have been Quickdraw which @wineli won from a FT packed with heavy hitters.
UKOPS Elim Freerolls started last night, with the popular @Allan23 getting off to a flyer in 1st place, so it'll be interesting to see how many Heads he took when the Leaderboard is published.

After some poor numbers on Wednesday, MTT traffic recovered nicely last night, with just 2 or 3 of the featured MTT's missing by trivial amounts. There was no football of note on TV, the "highlight" being a 'Spurs match in some minor European "Consolation" cup which they probably qualified for by finishing 17th in last season's Premier League.
The very personable @claudel9 had a great night, completing a very unusual win treble of Hitman Main, a £2.20 entry £300 Rebuy & a £5.50 entry Freezeout. That's not a treble we see every day. It was his 2nd Main Event win this month, & he won the Sunday night £5k BH on the last Sunday in August. Recent months have seen some big runner-up spots too, finishing 2nd in an Avenger Main, a £5k BH and a BWBH. Really does seem to be on the upgrade. Quite a decent FT last night, with @claudel9 being followed home by @Fabraclass @Woebegone @Hod4k997 @Nitrogen & @elvisg1972
Two weeks ago @skyekick06 ran 3rd in Hitman Main since when he's not been seen on the MTT streets until he re-appeared as if from nowhere last night & won the Mini. 2nd was @MARYBOBBIN with @PAPABURG in third, just days after he was runner-up in 7 @ 7.
For the last 5 nights @trundle has played the £800 BH and nothing else, and after a 5th place finish on Sunday he got the win last night.
A surprisingly good night for @goldnballz who won 7 @ 7 & was 7th in the Main. I must be one of the few people on the site who have been here long enough to remember when he was half decent at poker. I'm hoping we'll see him & his most beautiful daughter Paula at an SPT again soon.
@jessieak won the Rebuy BH, & he must like this time of year, as 2 years ago this week he won Summit & a year ago this week he won Marksman Main.
@shad8604 does well in a lot of the lower stake MTT's but he stepped up a gear last night & won Mega.
4weeks to the day since finishing 2nd in Reload @Lucky790 got his revenge, taking 1st place last night.
@ormrod has taken 13 years to play just a few dozen MTT's & until finishing 2nd in the Rebuy BH last month had not troubled these threads. Quite a change of fortune last night then as he won 9 @ 9 & ran 2nd in a £300 BH.
@Natnug seems to have gone off the boil recently with just three featured MTT victories so far this month - last night's Turbo, a Rebuy BH earlier this week & a MidEx a few weeks ago. It just shows that even players as talented as him suffer from variance, despite which he still sits atop the Sharky Sky Poker 2024 MTT Leaderboard, ahead of the 2nd placed player by a hefty $12,000. And most mere mortals would be thrilled to win 3 MTT's in the same month, or, in my case, same decade.
That's about it for today. Tonight's "main event" on Sky Sports football is Plymouth - or should we call them "Rooney's Plymouth"? - entertaining Luton Town. Probably need a more apt adjective than "entertaining".
