This day last year
"We are going to start with the £1k BH today, as last night's winner was none other than Gordon, aka @Dollie who is a very special bloke. One of the very first sign-ups to Sky Poker in March 2007, he was a regular at all the SPT's & their forerunners which went by the dreadful title of SPUKT's, & he did very well in them. Always wore his trademark cream jacket & was much admired & respected by everyone. Not seen him now for some years, but maybe we'll see him at an SPT soon. I'm not sure if he's been playing much recently, as I've not seen his name pop up anywhere. If my memory is correct he will have turned 76 on May 17th this year but it looks like he still has game. A wonderful result.
It was quite a night for our older players actually, as the 7 @ 7 went to quinquagenarian @NOSTRI and in addition he was 2nd in the £1k Rebuy BH, 12th in the Main, & 6th in 9 @ 9. The 7 @ 7 FT was a bit of an Arsenal fan benefit, as @GOONER72 was 4th & @Gooner1961 was 5th.
The Main went to @waspy77 who makes up for lack of volume with plenty of decent results. It was his 2nd win in Predator, the previous was three months ago, almost to the day, & he won a Hitman Main last November too. Runner-up & making his 10th Featured MTT final table this month was @235467.
The Mini was won by @ribeiro66 who took down a Gold Rush Main in July & is a serial winner of Reload.
There were TWO win doubles last night, the first was @Drewett who took the £1k Rebuy & Turbo. This was his 2nd win double of the month, as he took both MidEx & Quickdraw 10 days ago.
@GFKIJKLL was the other Double merchant, winning Mega & Quickdraw.
@Rashnikov had a very long session indeed, but it went rather well. Won 9 @ 9, also won a £500 BH, 5th in the £1k Rebuy, won a satellite to the Main, & for good measure, a £15 Turbo HU.
@Natnug took Midex, with 2nd going to @PaintedOne who seems equally at home playing both NLH or PLO8.
In the enhanced prize pool Rewards Freeroll the two £220 seats went to @JammyFker & @Boxster. Amongst the £110 seat winners was @WUBBZY1401 who has now won two UKOPS seats in Freerolls, as he bagged a £220 UKOPS High Roller seat the previous day. WAL. An old & good friend of mine @mmmchips aka K-5 man won a £110 seat too."

As winter starts to signal it's impending arrival, MTT numbers are inevitably picking up & it was a decent night, with zero overlay. Highlights were probably the £1k Rebuy making £1,480, the Main & Mini coming in at £5,700 & £1,750 respectively, & Summit hitting an even £5,000.
Gold Rush Main made a decent £5,700, with @KidPokerA2 taking 1st place & securing what I believe is his biggest ever score in the 7 years he's been here on Sky Poker. Only plays very low volume, maybe once a week, & always one-tabling. Had a decent score a few weeks ago too when finishing 3rd in the Sunday night £5k BH. Those of you old enough to remember will know that "Kid Poker" was the nick for Daniel Negreanu although it's many years since I've heard him referred to by that moniker. Maybe because he's 50 years old now, but he was just 23 when he won his first WSOP Bracelet, which at the time was the youngest ever winner, hence the name. These days he's more often sarcastically referred to as "More rake is less". Bet he wishes he'd never uttered those words. Returning to last night's Gold Rush Main, it was a strong podium with @FeNdeR36 2nd & @Jessieak 3rd. 5th was @wineli, with the ever-improving @deloresdd in 6th.
@PICKLE33 returned from a short absence to win the Mini, & later ran deep (14/197) in Reload. 2nd was SPT regular @carravagio with @Arrogant in 3rd, just a day after he pulled off a 7 @ 7 & Turbo win double. They were followed home by @who_me in 4th, Pete @Brrrrrrr in 5th & @IH8UButler in 6th. I'm assuming @IH8UButler is quite old, as his alias was a catchphrase from "On The Buses" which was a 1969-1973 TV "Comedy" show, so that's ~50+ years ago. Note I put "Comedy" in inverted commas, because it was, in truth, dreadful in every sense of the word, as were most TV comedies of that era.
It's great to see @F_Ivanovic back on site & he had a lovely result last night, finishing top of the pile in Summit. No great surprise really, as he had two nice scores last weekend, 2nd in Saturday's Sharpshooter Main & 3rd in Sunday's £5k BH. A typically tough Summit FT, the others being @roddy28 @chkngeorge @Style @GSmith13 & @TONY509. Interesting (& pleasing) to see @chkngeorge doing so well in £100 events, 3rd here just 2 days after the same finishing position in Sunday's Major. So far, he's won two £100 events on Sky Poker - Sunday Major & Summit as it happens - but I'm confident others will follow soon enough.
Yesterday I wrote "The vast majority of play by @lucask is in Cash Games but he made a rare venture into MTT's last night and it ended well with 1st place in MidEx", well he ventured into the MTT streets again last night & took down the 9 @ 9, and made it a double by winning a £100 Freezeout as well as 6th in a £150 Turbo. Looks like we might see more of him in these threads now he's got the taste.
The £800 BH went to @Snoo who has been with us just over a year, & I believe it was his first Featured MTT victory. @claudel9 celebrated playing his 5,000th game here (75% MTT's, the rest DYM's) by finishing 2nd.
7 @ 7 went to @Panda8 who you may recall had a breakthrough win in a Sunday Major some 3 weeks ago. 3rd was another one-time Sunday Major winner, @glencoelad though in his case it was a boomlet affair back in 2019 for which he picked up north of £4,000.
The £1k Rebuy BH went the way of @WHO_IS_SHE , just 48 hours after they won the Turbo. It was the 2nd time they've won the Rebuy BH in the last 2 months.
@gingerbb5 took Reload, & seems to be building a nice CV, that's 3 recent wins - 2 Reloads & a Rebuy BH.
@utang continues to go along nicely, & won MidEx, making it 3 wins already in October, as he'd already ticked off Mega & Quickdraw.
@loololollo has yet to feature in the Elim Freeroll Leaderboard but he made his move last night by taking the win & no doubt a shed load of Head Prizes which should catapult him up the Leaderboard.
That's me done for today. With the International Break in full flow, & the only televised football tonight being Women's Champions League (I never even knew there was such a thing) there's no obvious reason why MTT Traffic should not be healthy this evening. Fingers crossed.
