Bit of a surprise in the Main as @echoman takes 1st place. No previous form that I can find, though did run 5th in a Gold Rush Main 5 months ago. Also won a late afternoon £300 BH yesterday, so it was played 2, won 2. Runner-up @Od92was quite interesting too, first game for 6 months & just 5th game since August last year, when they won a Sharpshooter Main & then, apparently, disappeared. Single-tabled the Main last night too.
The Mini went to @macca41 who is perhaps better known for consistent results in Turbo & Quickdraw.
It was a night of unfamiliar names doing well & we saw another example in 9 @ 9 which went to @Dycered. The only previous thread mention was 2nd in a 7 @ 7 in May of this year, though has very low volume, just 190 MTT's in 9 years here.
@43Bordomust love Reload, winning it last night for the 3rd time since July & at least 7th or 8th time in all.
Last Thursday @Bambus won the Turbo & he did so again last night. Plenty of decent form including 1st in a Gold Rush Main back in February.
A lovely start to the evening for @Spenna8who was 2nd in the 18.30 £1k BH, & then went one better in the Rebuy version 40 minutes later.
Don't suppose Sky Poker will get rich from @MrJangle who has taken 13 years to play 44 MTT's but it did not stop him winning MidEx & breaking his featured MTT duck.
In the UKOPS Rewards Freeroll £220 High Roller seats went to @LePonch & @bonesky77 who have ABI's of £8.60 & £3.50 respectively. They'll both enjoy that.
Finally, last night saw the start of the UKOPS satellite programme, with players fighting for one of the 4 seats on offer in the £40,000 Main. Winners were very predictable, with seats going to @Natnug@Jessieak@bakersdoze & @podraic
Good to see that @SCOTFOX will be playing Sunday's Major after binking a seat in last night's Freeroll. Tough fields in those Sunday Major freerolls, so that was a great result.
MTT traffic was middling, with two slivers of overlay, Reload & MidEx missing by 4 entries & 3 entries respectively, so of no consequence except to those like me with OCD who like to see everything cover. Truly, OCD is a terrible thing, if you don't suffer, you've no idea...
Anyway, onto the MTT's & we start as always with the Major, & what a nice surprise it was to see the win go to @BrownnDog. Those with (very) long memories will recall that back in the day - ooh, 12 or 15 years ago now - he & his brother were both huge players here, though it was 95% cash & very few MTT's. Can't recall both Christian names, & can't recall his brother's alias, but pretty sure @Brownndogwas "Lewis". Course, I may have got the wrong player altogether, apologies if so. And if I'm right, well done Lewis or whatever your name is. 2nd was @LordKins who has been here 4 years & played a fair bit of cash but almost no MTT's so far, just a dozen or so. 3rd was @gaming123 & another very pleasing result in 4th which went to@JammyFkerwho will, I'm sure, be very pleased with the £872 he received. Two other familiar faces rounded off the FT, both have had a good week, @cabbaz& @Limp2Lose
In the Mini a 1-2 of @AlexaAJ& @loololollo will surprise nobody. I did notice @MAXALLYin 8th, & he also ran 3rd in Mega the previous night (off a cheapie satellite) so he's had a decent week.
No surprise either in the £5k BH which was won by @destinycod. As I've said many times, if he took it seriously, he might just prove to be the best player on the site. In a way though, I rather admire is "I don't really care" approach in some ways. I certainly prefer it to poker players who take themselves too seriously.
The £800 BH was taken down by the unfortunately-aliased @Pdiddy1308 though to be fair he signed up back in 2021, long before Diddy, Puff Daddy, Puffy, P. Diddy or even his real name Sean John Combs became mired in such alleged depravity.
@Slim_Jape 1-tabled his way to first place in 7 @ 7, that's the fifth time he's won that. Has an ABI of around £9 & seems to do very nicely indeed up to around £20 buy-ins.
The Mega went to @loosecamel but that's nothing compared to the amount he won on another site if the rumours I hear are correct, think it was over £5,000. Yikes, well done Camel Bloke.
In the Elim Freeroll, @TheEdge949 came out on top, oioi, well done Mark.
Traffic this week should be OK as the dreaded International Break continues, though normality returns on Friday, thank goodness.
