"Numbers were generally perky again, with the standouts being Sheriff (£1,900) & Quickdraw (£1,740), both of which are top of their range. The £12,000 Major came in at £12,700, compared to a £300 overlay the same day last year. Just hope folks are keeping some powder dry for UKOPS, which is just 4 days away.
@BWFCx took the Major. Been here around 15 months but played very little, & to confuse me even more seems to have reset his Sharky this morning. The only result I can find before that is winning Turbo earlier this month. 2nd was @Tastysnack who has now ran 2nd in the Major FOUR times since August. In total, he's finished in every position in Major FT's except 1st. Only a matter of time, surely? Playing only his 4th MTT this year & 8th since 2021, @67912092 was 4th. There you go, something for the conspiracy whackjobs. One name which will ring alarm bells was @Tedson in 9th. We have barely seen him this year - less than a dozen MTT's in 2023 - but in last years Autumn UKOPS he won 4 times, including the High Roller, then he returned for Xmas UKOPS & won the High Roller again. Presumably & hopefully he'll be with us during the upcoming UKOPS, but he can't be much fun to share tables with. Sharky rate him at an eye-popping 97 (can you think of anyone with a higher rating?) with a 62% ROI at a £63 ABI. Sheesh.
@StayOrGo won the Mini, and on the same day last year he won Mega.
The @ozzieowenexpress shows no sign of slowing down & he took the £6k BH, for the 2nd time in under a month, during which time he won a Summit too. Must be in the UKOPS Leaderboard betting.
@cabbaz won the super-sized Sheriff in which there was an exceptional effort by @Savantfree to run 2nd for £370 after qualifying via a £3 All-In Sat. @_burnsy_ had another good night, 1st in 7 @ 7, 2nd in the Rebuy BH & 5th in Elim Fr. Remarkably, it was his third 7 @ 7 victory in 9 nights, on one of which he won 9 @ 9 too. And you may recall that on the night he won both 7 @ 7 & 9 @ 9 he won SIX All-In Sats to the Main, plus All-In Sats to Mega & a UKOPS Semi, so 8 in one night. Epic binkage.
9 @ 9 - which suffered a small overlay - went to @oilyrag which was his best score since taking down a Mini Hitman last December.
@hhammerhea took Reload, that's 14 times he's won that now. Sticks to modest stakes & does amazingly well, with a 48% ROI at an ABI £4.65 over a 10,000+ sample size. There's a man who enjoys his poker.
Sky Poker newbie @Panda8(here just a fortnight) has made a promising start & won a MidEx a week or so ago. Last night he did even better, taking the Turbo & 4th in the Mini Major. I watched him for a bit & he is certainly not new to the game.
Last Sunday @platinum4 won the Rebuy BH, & he completed the double last night.
That's it for today. Fulham v Spurs on TV tonight, then we have CL & Europa football for the next 3 nights so maybe traffic will be somewhat thinner."
Just a quick run-through, as usual on a Sunday morning.
Numbers were generally very decent, the £1k Rebuy made £1,460, £5k Sharpshooter Main hit £6,300, with perhaps the two highlights being £1k Quickdraw at £1,740 &, to my mind best of all, the £1.5k Mini hitting £1,960, which is 392 entries. When was the last time a regular Mini attracted 392 entries? Surely must be a goodly while. For balance, & on the Naughty Step again, Reload missed by £99 which surprised me somewhat, especially as the Mini did so well.
Sharpy Main went to @MRMIAGI who joined Sky Poker in March 2007, just weeks after we went live, despite which he's played just 314 MTT's. Having said that, he's very accomplished indeed, & this was his 3rd Main Event win in the last 5 months - Avenger, Hitman & now Sharpshooter. In all has won 6 or 7 Mains, with his biggest score being a 2021 UKOPS. Sharky rate him at 90, with a 60% ROI at an ABI of £33. "Useful".
@Dbwinstook the Mini, has a few decent scores including a Reload win this time last year. 2nd was @Bensons22who has been catching the eye this month, with two Main FT's (2nd & 6th), 1st in a Turbo & now 2nd in a big Mini. @gobbleoff- he of the Notoriety - was 4th, had a deep run into 9th in Reload, & won himself a Sunday Major seat in the Freeroll. GL in tonight's Major Mr Off.
@Limp2Lose seems to be at the top of his game at present, winning 9 @ 9, 2nd in Sheriff, 4th in Quickdraw & 8th in Turbo.
Mr Channing @NChanningonly played Sheriff & Turbo, probably because he had been hob-nobbing with the Trainers & Jockeys at the big Ascot affair, & Sheriff went badly, bubbling the FT, but he made up for it by winning Turbo.
For the 2nd time this month, & third time in 5 weeks, @utangwon Mega. Other victories this month alone includes Quickdraw, MidEx & 9 @ 9, so he's really starting to motor now.
@addy79 could only manage 3rd in Thursday's MidEx, but made no mistake last night & got his 1st place.
@Swifteyyeuseems to be making steady progress, & in winning Quickdraw, enjoyed his biggest result of the month. Has a very impressive CV which includes 3 Mains (1 x Marksman, 2 x Hitman) & a near £4,500 scoop in a 2023 UKOPS.
@Caseyhas had a few near misses late including 2nd in an £800 BH earlier this month, & got his reward last night with 1st place in Reload.
In the early evening stuff, there were wins in £800 BH, 7 @ 7 & £1k Rebuy for @Studdud7@DEBBIE222 & @boot respectively, none of whom I know much about I'm sorry to say.
In the UKOPS Elim Fr @hurleyfinished top, having finished in the "money spots" in last week's Leaderboard. There were also impressive efforts by @mildsteal0 (2nd) @MAXALLY (5th) & @bbMike (6th).
That's it, I'm done. By way of a change, I'm off to DTD to play a little poker today, oioi
