Far be it from me to suggest that this is a whinger. Let's look at this "story".

    1. Man goes into car park
    2. He's there for over 6 minutes. Plenty of time to park, do what he needs to do, and leave (because his version of events doesn't sound like over 5 minutes)
    3. Gets a £100 fine
    4. Appeals/moans
    5. Given the benefit of the doubt, and gets his £100 fine cancelled
    6. He goes to the Press, moaning

Is it me? Or did this cease to be a story when it got to number 5?

Nothing to moan about if you got a refund.

Ma son parked in hotel car park and it was free if you were getting a meal or staying in the hotel.
He gave his reg to the receptionist everything was fine, two days later he gets a letter from a private parking firm £100 fine reduced to £50 if you pay within a week.
He phoned the hotel and the company and explained the situation, they said don't worry everything will get sorted out.
That was about 6 years ago, he still gets letters from a debt company it's up to about £1000 now, there's not a hope in **** they will get a dime, and the thing is the hotel has been closed for about 5 years.
