Lots of televised football last night, but thankfully (for Sky Poker) it was mostly low-grade dross, so numbers were not really impacted, & the only overlay was £70 in Turbo. Pretty sure Sky Poker can cope with that.
I seem to write this with a degree of frequency, but last night's Main winner was quite a surprise. It went to @HONKERS452 who only joined us in March of this year but has barely played since. A very small amount of cash, plus exactly 8 MTT's, of which 5 were Mains & Minis, and last night's Main, which they 1-tabled, was their first MTT for almost exactly 5 months (27th May). Amazing how often that sort of thing happens, isn't it? What with the ridiculous conspiracy theorists & the "it's rigged" idiots, I'm sure they often think something is amiss. If only they knew how squeaky clean it all is. Poker is a weird game, & the most bizarre things are possible. (Jamie Gold, WSOP winner, anyone?). Runner-up @micropro is mostly a 1-tabler, & his last 4 outings have all been Main Events, best of which was 4th in Hitman last Thursday. Won a Hitman Main in August 2022 too, so clearly enjoys that one. @MrDooWopwas 3rd with the mighty @Tedsonin 4th & @Max_Bear 5th. Friday's avenger Main winner @sam1234 was 6th.
If the Main event winner was a surprise, how about the Mini winner, @STAPS69 who just a day earlier was playing their first MTT since January 2021? Did no good, but tried again last night & got the win. Wow.
No surprises in Summit though, which almost always goes to a class act, & a 1-2-3 of @FlynTimber@loololollo& @Tedson all certainly qualify for that. @Tedsonwas 4th in the Main too. I know Sharky ratings are a bit hit & miss, but assuming reasonable sample sizes of games played they are indicative, & the average Sharky rating of those three is 93, with @Tedson being rated at 97. Who wants to name a Sky Poker player with a rating higher than 97?
@ToddB has been going along nicely of late, & won the £800 BH, then ran 6th in the Mini. Won 7 @ 7 a few days ago, & began 2024 by winning a January Hitman Mini.
@Casey seems to have run into some form, won a Reload 10 days ago & took last night's 7 @ 7.
I'm always pleased to see @MynaFrett do well, & having won a Gold Rush Mini last month, then qualified for a Sunday Major which did not go to plan, was back in the winner's circle last night after taking down the Rebuy BH. To be honest, I don't know @MynaFrett from Adam, so you might wonder why it pleases me so. Well here's the thing, I admit that I'm at the age where I can get a little grumpy from time to time, & I definitely don't tolerate fools gladly these days, & it's so refreshing Myna's Posts, always well-crafted, sensible & thoughtful. You might well say "so what?", but when you look at the quality of some of the Posts on here these days it can be very depressing. It's my job to try & oil the Forum wheels, help make it interesting, encourage good Posts, & if I were marked out of 10 on how well I've done, I reckon I'd be lucky to get a 2. Meh.
@meeee37does not trouble the judges too often, & I can't trace any featured MTT wins, but came good in last night's Mega, & then came good again with 1st place in a post-midnight £100 Freezeout. @Aynaricol has a busy & varied life & does not always put huge poker volume in these days but in winning Reload last night completed an October hat-trick, as she's already won an £800 BH & a 7 @ 7 this month. Fingers crossed we'll see here at Brighton in around a month's time.
Think that's about it for today. Some excellent televised football tonight, so there may be a bit of overlay on view. Help yourself, you're welcome.

2 out of 10? Come on. You're worth at least a 9 out of 10 just for the time and effort that goes into these daily results posts and has done for years now. I think that Discord channel for Sky poker players was a factor in reducing engagement with the forum and I assume that's still running. That's not your fault. You can't be held accountable for the dross that gets posted here either. You give me too much credit for the quality of my posts. I'm guilty of having posted garbage as well, some of which I've then had to go back and bin. Admittedly I am a bit more considered and thoughtful when it comes to the hand analysis and strategy posts. As a lover of all kinds of sport and games, poker (specifically MTT NLH) is one that has always fascinated me. It has to be unique for its simple mechanics yet infinite complexity and its balance between skill and luck determining outcomes in the short, medium and long terms. This day last year
It was UKOPS Day 6, & I was using a different format for the Daily Report, which does not lend itself easily to C & P, so here's a link to it;https://www.skypoker.com/secure/poker/sky_lobby/community/forums#/discussion/190782/who-won-what-wednesday-1st-november-ukops-day-6-gutshotter-wins-two-biggies-again
