"On to last night then, which saw @FlynTimber get all the chips in the Main. He missed most of UKOPS but did run 2nd in #20. Has a very solid CV & is a serial winner of both Summit & BWBH, as well as nine regular Mains & a UKOPS.
@Massoud10 took the Mini for the 2nd time this year, & he does particularly well in the Sunday Major Freeroll. Incidentally, @MISTY4MEplayed that last night & booked one of the three seats on offer, so that's his Sunday night sorted.
Mega went to the increasingly consistent @235467who also ran 5th in the Main, having satted in for £7.20.
9 @ 9 overlaid significantly. Winner was @Rees1991 who has been here 5 years but barely played until recently, just 59 MTT's & a very small amount of cash.
Reload was the worst performer of the night. Top spot went to @grasbrad, the third time he's won it since July.
@MikeyW94 only played a 5 game schedule but did remarkably well, winning Turbo, a £500 BH @ 6pm, and 2nd in Quickdraw. Pretty good from just 5 attempts. He had a great UKOPS, running joint 6th in the Leaderboard & so picking up a free £330 seat to SPT Manchester plus a few hundo in cash.
After finishing 2nd in Quickdraw this day last year, @bigfatfish got his revenge this time & went one spot better.
Day 3 - the first Sunday of Autumn UKOPS - had guarantees of £53,000, with actual prize pools of £58,670, so 10.6% above guarantees, although that hides the fact that the Main missed by some £2,600. Not a disaster by any means, but certainly a disappointment, to me at any rate. Anyway, it is what it is. Or isn't.
Winner of that Main was @SwannLoL which was a little bit of a surprise as we've seen very little of him recently, only played 4 MTT's last month. It was his biggest lifetime cash on Sky Poker, narrowly beating what he collected for winning a UKOPS High Roller which, as it happens, was 3 years ago almost to the day. Has won all the big stuff on Sky, including at least 1 Major, & a whole bunch of £110 stuff (Summit & BWBH) as well as regular Mains. There was a Sky Poker lifetime best for runner-up @Upswing too, collecting over £2,000. Nice. @f3nix35 was 3rd, but it was nowhere near a PB for him, as he scooped over £8,000 for winning a UKOPS Super High Roller in 2019, & over £5,000 for a Sunday Major 2 years earlier. And away from Sky Poker, in the Live arena, his wins include a WSOP Bracelet, a GUKPT title, a £1,000 event at DTD, 2 EPT Sideys, & not forgetting a big Sky Poker event at DTD for which he earned £45,000. One of the nicest guys I've ever met in poker, too, he's got manners, social skills & everything.
The High Roller went to@LordKins& thereby hangs another story. 97% of his play (literally) is in cash games, with just a few MTT's thrown in, but he's really making them pay. On Day 1 he made two FT's, and last night he did it again, another two FT's, winning the High Roller & 6th in the Main. The rest of the HR FT revealed no great shocks with the likes of @GFKIJKLL@DAVEMCDAID@ILIKE2FISH & @Granite89all thereabouts. @DAVEMCDAID has some huge scores on his CV, including a 2018 UKOPS Main worth £6,000, and a 2016 UKOPS HR worth some £8,000.
The Mini went to@jajko & that was certainly a surprise to me. Been here since almost day 1 in 2007, fairly modest volume, split almost 50-50 between Cash Games & MTT's but as far as I can tell has never won any MTT of significance prior to last night, what's more he was 3rd in UKOPS 19 too. Sharky only award him a modest 59 rating, pretty sure that will soon go up a good deal. The lower podium steps were occupied by @TONY509 & @grindddwho have Sharky ratings of 83 & 93 respectively. Such is the fickleness of poker variance.
The opener went to @Arrogant which probably won't be the most popular result amongst his opponents but I doubt he cares one iota what they think. He's not on Sharky so nobody really knows how profitable he is, but suffice to say he's looks to me like he's one of the site's biggest winners in Sky MTT's. Does not play Cash AFAIK. Following him home last night were @Sharki0 in 2nd, a tremendous result in 3rd by @spearsy136, ditto @SMARTGOAT in 4th, with @roddy28 in 5th. Congrats to @DeanM who was 6th, having also run 3rd in UKOPS 01 on Friday, which is stunning stuff for a player Sharky only rate at 51.
UKOPS 18 went to @Bensons22 & I bet not many people ever imagined he'd be top of the UKOPS Leaderboard after Day 3. Consistency has been his key, with 6 or 7 scoring events, nobody else has come close to that so far as far as I can tell. Another big surprise has been the runner-up @Brick123 who won the Day 2 Mini & currently sits 12th in the Leaderboard. These have been his best two results ever on Sky Poker & they came on consecutive days, so I bet he feels good this morning.
Not much I can say about UKOPS 19 with a very predictable collection of pokerists headed by @Froozle (1st) @Curt360x27 (2nd) @GSmith13 (4th) @seikus (5th) & @Gambelo (6th). The big surprise of course was 3rd placed@jajko who won the Mini earlier, what a night for him.
UKOPS 20 - the closer - had arguably the night's toughest FT, with the finishing order being@mnolan8317@cabbaz@grinddd@SoLack@Jessieak & @Doooobs. Five of those 6 are on Sharky & their average rating is 92, & the other one will likely be similar. That's a tough old FT.
That's about it for Day 3.
There's a very attractive Premier League game Live on TV tonight at 8pm, so numbers might take a hit. If there's overlay, help yourself.
