Of course I am been silly obviously I would be more likely to support southampton football club then rape. I have made the comment before wondering whether it is better to focus on oneself first or devote oneself entirely to others. In reality its not a binary there is a middle ground I could never be completely selfless to my total detriment nor could I ever be so self focused and selfish. I would take a bullet in the head or even decades of torture before I impregnated non consenting sex slaves. I just could not be that evil or selfish regardless of the pressure put on me to do so.

Now next comes Russias move a declaration of war on NATO, the stance will be thus NATO was an alliance made to stand up to Russia it is an alliance against Russia. Russias stance will be leave NATO now or we will declare war on you we will use nukes and everything at our disposal without America many countries will a few wont.
Among the countries that wont will likely be the United Kingdom, Poland Germany and France. Why because Russia will seek vengeance on all of us for supporting Ukraine Russia is coming for us whether in NATO or not, so we may as well stand together.

It will likely be North Koreans taking our streets and they will be brutal and merciless. Now some may think this is ridicolous to suggest Yes if everyone else stayed out of the fight and it Was the United KIngdom vs North Korea one would think we should be able to win. However it wont be been backed by Russia and Iran at the very least they will take our streets.

NATO began life, as the acronym suggests, as the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation. It's Members were originally (unsurprisingly) countries with borders on the North Atlantic. It was there primarily to protect the USA's interests. To be the Western equivalent of what used to be the USA's big rival-Russia and the Warsaw Pact.
Times change. Members change. And priorities change.
The old Warsaw Pact has gone. Indeed, various former Members are now in NATO. And the primary purpose of NATO is now to protect Europe from Russia. Not America from Russia.
That does not mean the USA is no longer interested in NATO. It is just that they expect far bigger contributions from the Countries that are now getting the biggest benefits from it, namely Europe.
This is not just a Trump thing. His personality means that he speaks out on things that others shrink away from. Which is both a good thing and a bad thing.
Ukraine is a classic example of this. It is on the border between Europe and Russia. Thousands of miles from the USA. The World is spending tens of £Billions every year propping up Ukraine militarily. And the main external beneficiaries of that are Europe. Not the USA. Not least because it is thousands of miles from the North Atlantic.
It is not that the USA don't want to pay their fair share. It's just that what is their fair share has changed.
Do you really believe that if PUTIN attacked North Macedonia Slovakia Latvia or Czech that Trump would take the USA to war with Russia to honour the NATO alliance?

The ultimate threat is obviously the nuclear threat and thank goodness we have our own independent nuclear threat (anyone still for unilateral nuclear disarmament, in the hope that Russia then follows suit? No thought not).
If Putin drops a nuclear bomb we're all f**ked, it doesn't matter what religion you are, the colour of your skin, your nationality (as it will escalate), or anything else really, it's good night Vienna. But let us hope he doesn't do it eh? Being scared is no way to live.

include the USA with NATO but put China on Russias side and we lose.
but yes if nukes are not a thing and its NATO with the USA in NATO on our side fully participating against Russia alone Russia would lose just I dont think that would be the scenario.
