A very quiet night. Total UKOPS guarantees were quite modest at £30,000 but prize pools only exceeded guarantees by a measly 2.6% at £30,800. And despite that slightly misleading Word Soup, 4 of the 6 UKOPS events missed guarantee, although the overlay was only £740 (£80 + £200 + £360 + £100). There was, however, worse news for Sky Poker, as we shall see.
@DAVEMCDAIDwas playing just his 7th UKOPS of the current Series & took the Main, having already run 2nd in Sunday's High Roller, so a 1st & a 2nd from 7 attempts. Delving into the past, I spotted a really bizarre stat, his 11 biggest cashes all came in UKOPS events with finishing positions of 1st (4 times), 2nd (twice), 3rd (3 times), 4th & 5th. Continuing with the Stat Attack, his ABI is £110, his ROI is 70%, & his average profit is £97.36. Total profit is £29,207 & that's from just 300 games. (Blame Sharky if those figures don't make sense). It was a cracking Final, with some of the Site's very best involved, including @PAPABURG (2nd) @Swog (3rd), GOAT @Tedson (4th) & @SwannLol 5th. Congrats to 6th placed @flop2hard for mixing it with that bunch. Worth noting that @PAPABURG won TWO seats to it via Satellites, so he was virtually freerolling with an extra hundo in his back pocket for good measure.
In the Mini, it was the vastly improved @PAPABURG who got 1st place. Those of you paying attention will have seen he was 2nd in the Main, so a juicy £2,500 FTJ cash bonus will be whizzing across the internet to him later today. Splits his play almost exactly 50/50 between MTT's & DYM's, but has never played a hand of cash here. Joined Sky Poker in early 2021, and was just breakeven for the first 12 months, since when has steadily increased his profit & Sharky suggests he's now some £17,000 in profit. Best 3 results have all been in the last 4 months - won a BWBH in late July, 2nd in last night's UKOPS Main & 2nd in a Sunday Major in late August. Keep an eye on him, I sense he might yet improve further.
You may recall that in yesterday's whitterings I blabbered on at length about @Tedson the GOAT and he was at it again last night, winning the closer & 4th in the Main. He must be a short price to win the UKOPS Leaderboard now I would have thought. Another player who keeps catching the eye is @Swog & he had two FT's last night, 3rd in the Main & 4th in the closer. Given that he only played 1 event last night, 2nd place for @Kreeper was most satisfactory.
Playing his first MTT here for 2 months, @Shaun524 sprung a surprise in the opener, with dear old @MacMonster 2nd. Making his second FT of the Series was @doublemewho ran third, so one hopes he'll be relatively happy.
In UKOPS 42 it was the turn of @macca41 to shine, he took the win, & as far as I can tell that's his first significant win here, well done bud.
One player who has been missing all Series is @peiratis88who joined the fray last night & not only won UKOPS 43 (Turbo BH) but notched up a hat-trick, as he also won the regular 19.10 Rebuy BH, & also a £300 BH a little later in the evening. 2nd in UKOPS 43 was @ILIKE2FISH who must be due a win soon.
that's about it for today, but many congrats to @PAPABURG. Things step up a gear tonight, with 7 events including a High Roller. GL if you get involved, but please take it easy & don't force it, Bankroll Fatigue really is a thing.

Thank you @Tikay10 sir! Needless to say I am one very happy Papaburg this morning; well played to @DAVEMCDAID who played superbly having got to the FT short stacked (you are welcome for the double up there).
Absolutely delighted given that my UKOPS week until last night had been really underwhelming (poor)!
Fridays and Saturdays usually a challenge for me to get online (family) but it is UKOPS so will see what I can do; if not good luck to all - I'll see you in Main on Sunday (have got my sat in; and may even give the £530 HR a spin.
Thanks again @Tikay10 for the kind words and nice support on the rail last night from the FT and @StayOrGo, appreciated.

Lovely stuff @PAPABURG & I'm really pleased for you. That's a good few bob towards the family Christmas presents there.
