Who won what, Tuesday 12th November. Main & Mini go to jackd86 & Alier16, Bates is back with a win

This day last year
"Some days these things seem especially hard to pen, with an absence of "interesting" results (or perhaps a lack of creativity on my part), & today is one of those days. We'll have to give it a go though.
Predator Main made £5,370, probably close to the middle of it's current range, some 12% higher than last year's renewal which came in at £4,830. The Mini went the other way, £1,335 last night v £1,435 last year, so a drop of exactly £100 or 20 entries.
Winner of that Main was @Swog, & despite plenty of other victories it was only his 2nd Main event win, the other being an Avenger in January of this year. Seems to be at the top of his form right now - 1st in last night's Main as well as 3rd in Mega, 3rd in last Friday's BWBH & 2nd in Sunday's Quickdraw. So a bit thin on Main Event wins, but plenty of other successes - wins in Summit, BWBH (twice), the Sunday night £6k BH (5 times), & twice runner-up in the Major. Think he plays on several sites, though Sky is his favourite as he has a bit of man-love for me.
2nd was @memfno, playing is first & only MTT since Friday.
Playing just his 2nd (& only) MTT this month, @plancton took the Mini. Only his 2nd thread mention, the other being when he won a £1k BH just before last Christmas.
The Rebuy BH went to @Rashnikov just 4 days after he won the freezeout version. Has won the 8pm Main twice & been 2nd in a Major. Seems to have quite an interesting line of table chat.
Bit of a shock in 9 @ 9 as @looter rocked up in a Sky Poker MTT for the first time in 16 months & promptly won it. Maiden thread mention too.
The late night trio of Turbo, Quickdraw & MidEx fell to usual suspects in the form of @tonyp142 @Jscorgie & @StayOrGo respectively. In fact Turbo & Quickdraw were very similar in that three players made both FT's - @Thoich @Jscorgie & @loololollo. I'm pretty sure that Turbo had the night's most competitive FT - @tonyp142 @Jscorgie @Thoich @Rashnikov @Fabraclass & @loololollo

Fair to say not a great night for numbers. UKOPS bankroll fatigue will persist for a week or so yet but hopefully not as bad as last night, which had around £2,061 in aggregate overlay from Main, Mega, Summit, Reload, Turbo & MidEx.
Now that does not look great, but we have to think "bigger picture", & as it happens, Flutter (who own Sky Poker) released their 2024 Q3 results yesterday. If that sort of thing floats your boat, here, have a read...

Meanwhile, here at little old Sky Poker, life goes on & we saw a smashing result in Gold Rush Main which went to @jackd86. Over the years he's made FT's of Avenger, 9 @ 9, MidEx, £6k BH, Turbo, Quickdraw (3 times) & Sheriff, but no significant wins as far as I can see, & certainly never won a Main before. Well done Jack. With @shad8604 2nd & @HUGHMANS 3rd it looks like it was a fun fight for the trio of podium steps.
I always like to see new/different players bagging results & it was a similar story in the Mini which went to @Alier16. He won the £1k Rebuy BH earlier this year, and in fact this was his 3rd win in November, as he's already scored victories in a £300 BH & £500 BH this month, but I can't see any data suggesting he's won a Mini before in his 10 years here. 3rd was @bakersdoze with @Bensons22 - who was surely the UKOPS surprise package - in 4th.
I sensed @ILIKE2FISH was running bad during UKOPS but he bounced back last night to win Summit as well as 5th in the Mini. Summit looked like a fun FT, with @SoLack representing the Super Seniors in 2nd, @Sharki0 3rd, another Super Senior ( @NChanning ) in 4th, @JammyFker in 5th, although he never got paid, & Man of the Moment @PAPABURG in 6th. Seems impossible to keep @PAPABURG out of these write-ups at present, 7 he made 3 FT's last night as he also ran 4th in Quickdraw & 2nd in a £400 BH.
The £800 BH went to the puntastic alias of @fulldozer & in perusing his stats I discovered a weird anomaly. Has played over 1,300 MTT's here & yet somehow his two biggest results came 24 hours apart back on 2016, when he ran 1st & 3rd in a £2,500 BH's on successive days. Well I thought it was interesting.....
@ACOS4 seems to have run into a bit of form, & after finishing 3rd in Monday's 9 @ 9, won last night's Rebuy BH and later on was 3rd in a £400 BH.
An old friend was back on site last night, @MattBates & he seemed to be in the form we associated with him in days gone by. Aside from winning MidEx, he was 3rd in Reload, & made the FT's of THREE £300 BH's, finishing 2nd, 2nd & 4th.
Playing a Sky Poker MTT for only the 2nd time since May, @FERG1E won the Turbo.
An amazing result in Reload, which went to @Jack_1989 who had not played a single MTT on Sky Poker since he joined in 2010, then played 8 last night & secured a Reload win. Bet he wishes he'd started playing them sooner now.
9 @ 9 went to @squeak13 who we seem to have seen very little of since he won a Gold Rush Main almost exactly 5 years ago.
(Note to self, almost exactly is a ridiculous term & of course quite impossible. Something is either exact or it's not...).
Ending today's report on a bright note, the SPT Brighton semi ran last night & our first two qualifiers are @MISTY4ME & @OwnYrSoul, so that was most pleasing.

I actually bought into the Semi with 20secs. to go .....otherwise it would have cancelled again sadly..... and at £70 it is the most I've ever paid to buy into a Tourney
( by about £50 ! )
