This day last year
"Last night's Main made £5,400, some 27% up y-o-y, though as noted above, the World Cup had started this time last year, so online poker numbers here & elsewhere were bound to be affected. Away from the Main, numbers were middling, though there were small misses in Mini & MidEx.Worryingly, the three FTT's all failed to cover. These are "reg fee free" & include around £250 of prizes via free entries every month. Fingers crossed the entries buck up soon.
There was a popular heads-up in the Main with @Super_Oli getting the better of @tonyp142. Oli - let's just call him "Super" - has had some lovely results, the best of which were a 2020 UKOPS HR, a Sunday Major (very recently) & of course he won a Vegas package this year.
Runner-up @tonyp142 has a lovely Sharky graph which gets ever steeper, helped last night by 2nd in the Main & 1st in 7 @ 7. Runner-up in that 7 @ 7 was @Summers119.
@benc who I'm sure you know all about, won the Mini.
A new name to the thread is @MrTonnage who weighed in with a Rebuy BH win as well as 5th in Mega. Has only been here 2 weeks, & played just 33 MTT's but already has 4 FT's including last night's win. One to keep an eye on.
@PokaBayb9 took the Turbo. Only an occasional visitor but he's pretty big-time, rated 93 by Sharky & with some impressive scores including a UKOPS HR, a UKOPS Main, a Major & a BWBH.
@Natnug has been running a bit thin by his standards, but chimed in with a Quickdraw win, the second time he's done so inside a week.
If you are a (the?) regular reader of these reviews, you'll know that @bobcam has been doing very well the last few nights, & the run continued last night when he won himself a Sunday Major seat in the 191 runner Freeroll.
Sadly, the SPT Semi failed to run.

Bit of an odd night for MTT traffic. Things began well enough with the £1k Rebuy BH chiming in at £1,815 which is way above it's run rate, but as the evening progressed, there were a few spots of overlay (£290 in the £5k BH, £10 in the Turbo, £60 in Quickdraw & £280 in MidEx). Main & Mini both did "OK". Make of that what you will.
@DraganEddy won the Major. Been here almost exactly (almost exactly....) 4 years, and is a big cash game player. Quite literally, 99% of their action is in cash games & is a rare visitor to the MTT streets. Does OK though, off an ABI of close to £50, & has made the Major FT several times already this year. Runner-up was @Hoff92, who is the only player on Sky Poker to have won Avenger Main & Avenger Mini on the same night if I'm not mistaken. Which I might be. In 3rd was @loosecamel & his Sharky graph has gone crazy, & it was another good night for him with, rather oddly, three 3rd places - Major, Rebuy BH & Sheriff. @Tedson always plays UKOPS but often leaves us after it ends, but in bad news for all MTT players he seems to have stuck around & he had another menacing session, winning his Major seat in a sat, then 4th in the Major & 4th in Turbo. 5th & 6th were @pokarito & @Froozle.
@ozzieowen is on a right tear, on Monday he won the Mini & was 2nd in the Main so collected a £2,500 FTJ Bonus, on Saturday he won Mega, & last night he won the Mini again, this time the Mini Major. @Tony509 was 2nd, the same spot he occupied in Friday's Avenger Main. 3rd was @Froozle, & as he ran 6th in the Major, he collects a £150 FTJ cash bonus.
Quite a surprise to see the £5k BH miss guarantee, but it never bothered the ever-consistent @seikus who took the win, & later in the evening won Quickdraw for the 2nd time in 3 nights. Has a splendid CV which includes 4 Sunday Major wins & plenty else besides.
That oversized £1k Rebuy went to @MuffinPie1 which is the sort of alias that Richard Orford took great delight in looking up in the Urban Dictionary. My advice is don't go there. Been here around 18 months, over 98% of their play is on the cash Tables & I believe this is their first significant MTT win.
Two other relative strangers did well, the first being @Kie1997 who won 7 @ 7 to take his first ever featured MTT victory, having joined us just over a month ago. The other was @Sweenberry who despite being here 6 years has barely played, & again, it's a maiden win.
@Panda8 is on a roll, & after winning the Mini Major a week ago, & Friday's BWBH, took last night's Mega.
In Sheriff, @peiratis88 prevailed.
Until recently @Bensons22 had escaped my radar, but UKOPS changed all that & it's continued ever since. Last night's haul included 1st in Turbo, 2nd in the Rebuy BH, 4th in a £300 BH & 2nd in Sheriff. Very much on the up & up.
@utang has become a winning machine lately, & took MidEx & then a little 3am affair for the 2nd night on the spin.
The SPT Semi had it's biggest field yet, 12 runners, with @destinycod & @Woz08 getting Brighton seats, & @SilverRiz picking up a useful £132 in 3rd.
The dreadful Nations League continues tonight, just glorified Friendlies really, so maybe Monday night poker traffic will be a little better than usual.
