"After two flat nights, especially Wednesday, numbers bounced back nicely last night, especially the Main which made £6,210, a handsome 28% up on last year's £4,830. There was no football of note that night either, as was the case last night, so it's a straight comparison.
@LFCChris86 took the Main, which was a little unexpected. Been here just over 3 years & is nicely in profit, but most of his MTT successes come in stuff like Quickdraw, which he's won many times. Don't think he plays cash, certainly not much, anyway.
In the Mini, @Bcarney97prevailed. Been here just over a year but played just 152 MTT's. Only one other significant win but that was a good one, took down the Sharpy Main at the end of September, so his record now is two wins - a Main & a Mini.
@NChanning had a solid session, playing just 4 MTT's, winning Mega & 4th in Turbo. I'm inclined to think he probably plays his best poker in non -BH's, though I'm just guessing. It's an age thing.
Also among the night's better efforts, @JBERGZwon Turbo & was 2nd in Sheriff.
Sheriff went to @Froozle, who has 3 Major victories on a glittering CV, though his best score was 2nd in a 2021 UKOPS Main for just shy of £6,000. Has a dozen or more cashes in excess of £2,000 & a 37% ROI over a sample size of 24,000 at an ABI of £13.
@BING restricted himself to just 2 Mega & 9 @ 9, winning the latter.
@mainspring - one to watch?...- took 7 @ 7. He won a big UKOPS Mini a few years ago.
For the 4th time, all this year, @davtheravwon 7 @ 7.
@jinky77729jinked his way to 1st place in Reload, one-tabled it too.
Also 1-tabling, @8wizard8 performed his magic to win MidEx.
As seems to be the case most night, the SPT Semi, needing entries to run, had 10 entries 2 minutes before start time, but than all the withdrawals took place as per & so it never ran again. Bit sad to see, but perfectly legit of course.
That will have to do for today.
Tonight sees the end of the "International Break" in football, thank goodness, I loathe those breaks with a passion. Sky Sports TV will be showing the Champo semi local derby between Rotherham & Leeds, the two clubs being separated by just 33 miles of a usually congested M1. Fair distance between them in the League Table though. Even so, Rotherham must have some value appeal at 13/2, & for sure backing Leeds away at 2/7 does not sound much fun. Sounds like an ideal spot to set fire to £5 or £10 to me."
MTT traffic was pretty solid again, & we were heading for an overlay-free session until MidEx spoiled the party by coming up £140 (7 entries) shy.
There was a real gangsta Main Event FT, one of the most competitive you could imagine, with @GSmith13 getting the nod ahead of@PAPABURG@Jessieak@TIMBER@newdaddy & @Natnug. I was quite surprised to see that it was only the 2nd win this month for @GSmith13 though he does not play here every night. The @PAPABURG heater continues, wins this month include Sheriff, Turbo & a Mini, though of course his best result of the month was 2nd in UKOPS 40 for some £1,600. The other 4 all have glittering CV's too, as I'm sure you know.
Not quite the same quality on the Mini - @Jac35 was 4th, the case rests - but it was a fine win by one-tabler @soreass563 who has only appeared in these threads once previously, when 4th in a Mini Hitman back in January. Runner-up was @slipwater who I vividly remember from the early days & the TV channel, sadly, like many others, we don't see him here these days. 3rd was @ToddB with Pete @Brrrrrrr in 5th, the two of them sandwiching @Jac35. That's not a sandwich to savour.
@PUPPASMURF has a decent record in stuff like Mini, Rebuy BH & 7 @ 7 but it was a bit of an eye-opener to see him win Sheriff, especially against the calibre of the podium with @destinycod & @NChanning 2nd & 3rd. @destinycod won Mega, incidentally, though by way of a change his quest to become the first player to win 4 seats to SPT Brighton came up short.
Reload can't be easy to win but @ughx3000cx won it for the 2nd time in 3 nights & third time in just over 3 weeks. Respect. Won last night's MidEx too, so a nice double for Ugh Bloke.
Kudos too to the unsung@BRADSHAW34 who won 9 @ 9 for the 2nd time in 4 nights & the third time in 10 days. Quite interesting to see how some players specialise in particular Tourneys.
If the Main Event had a hot FT, Quickdraw was not far behind. Monday's Marksman Main winner @wigglytuff got the win, followed by @StayOrGo Tuesday's Summit winner @ChipDiddy0 last night's Main winner @GSmith13@chkngeorge & @Super_Oli. That's a tough old table by any standards.
The £800 BH went to @steveyseewho has probably won as much in the MML as anyone & rather wisely he puts the wins into the tank & uses them for UKOPS, which worked very well in the Series which just finished.
@aynaricolwon the Rebuy BH having hit the post in it twice already this month with 2nd & 4th place finishes. I'm hoping we'll see her next week at SPT Brighton, I'm fairly sure she attended it last year.
Talking of which, SPT Brighton seats went to @tonyp142& @wineli the last-named who, incidentally, I bumped into at DTD last week. There was also £66 in loose change for @lammin
The International Break is drawing to a close, there's no domestic football tonight but it all starts up again tomorrow. So traffic should be decent this evening, maybe not so much tomorrow.

@Tikay10 I will most certainly be there - haven't made an SPT since Manchester in September last year as they've always coincided with holidays, so looking forward to this one!
