This day last year

"Considering there was so much high-class football on TV, including Arsenal in the CL, I thought numbers were ok, with the Main making £5,040, 14% up on last year's £4,440.

Winner of the Main was the curiously-aliased @leftarmove. I'm guessing he is a bowler who was one character short of "left arm over". Quite low volume considering he's been here 13 years, & only returned last week from a 6 month absence. Not his maiden Main win though, he won a Hitman Main in October 2018, & a Sheriff in September 2019.

2nd was @67912092 who is mainly a cash game player, a big one too. Only played 93 MTT's but has a Sky Poker ABI of £89.77 which is about as high as I've ever seen on this site.

5th was @NOSTRI & it was good to see him back as he's been pretty much off-grid since the Autumn UKOPS ended.

@4kingboss took the Mini, so two wins in 24 hours as he won a £400 BH the night before. Humour - especially in the written form - is so subjective. When we had the TV Channel all the Presenters & Analysts - especially the dreaded Orford - used to think phonetic aliases such as 4kinghell & flops such as J-K off & so on were hilarious whilst I sat there stony-faced. It all seems so juvenile to me. I expect 12 year olds to find it amusing, grown-ups, not so much. A quick peruse of Sharky suggests we have at least 20 aliases that start with "4king". I kind of imagine that what they hope to get for Christmas is a Whoopee Cushion & one of those baseball caps with a dog **** on the peak. Meh, maybe I've just become old & grumpy. Apologies if I've offended anyone, & I very much hope you enjoy watching Mrs Brown's Boys & Miranda at Christmas.

Morris707 took the 9 @ 9, & if I'm not mistaken, that's the first time he's done so. Won plenty else besides though, including 5 Mains.

Attempting to complete a 3 day hat-trick of 9 @ 9 podiums @snoxx11 made a brave effort but came up just short in 13th.

Quite a thin night for the Big Boys, with only @AlexaAJ (Turbo) & @StayOrGo (Quickdraw) registering victories.

The SPT actually ran last night, with @__Assassin booking his first seat & @bigfatfish winning his 3rd.

Afternoon.

Yesterday I predicted plenty of overlay last night due to the superb Champions League matches & so it proved, though it was hardly a difficult call. In fact it was less bad than I feared, totting up to £691, being 7 @ 7 (£21), Rebuy BH (£70), Mega (£200) & Summit (£400). The later stuff - after the football had finished - all performed fine.

Gold Rush Main - which just about covered - went to @reesey999. Been here 14 years, fairly low volume, with 70% of his play at the cash tables. Very few significant MTT results but perfectly capable of big scores, just a week ago ran 2nd to @ChipDiddy0 In Summit & made a Predator Main FT in September. Ironically, last night's runner-up was @ChipDiddy0 so Reesey turned the tables nicely there. @ChipDiddy0 is in terrific form, & after winning both Main & Sheriff on Monday evening, last night was 2nd in Main & 3rd in Summit. Just looking at his Sharky graph makes me dizzy. On Thursday of last week @waspy77 was 3rd in Hitman Main, & he was 3rd again in last night's Gold Rush.

Talking of form-horses, @ughx3000cx is as hot as the sun right now. Last week he won a Mini, two Reloads & two MidEx's, & last night he won the Mini again, as well as a £400 BH, & ran 3rd in what is surely his favourite MTT, MidEx. I was surprised to see he's only won the Main once, which was in 2022, but it's only a matter of time imo. Was a decent Mini FT last night, with @zzgoose 2nd & @Tsaaaar 3rd. On Monday @suitnboot won the Mini & made a good dash at repeating it last night, coming up just a few spots shy in 5th.

@Ra1d who only pops in occassionally to play the more lucrative stuff beat a good Summit field. Was 4th in the recent £500 UKOPS HR. It was his third Summit victory, & he has a Sunday Major trophy in his virtual trophy cabinet too. The next 4 home were @Hoff92 @ChipDiddy0 @loosecamel & @grinddd & the average Sharky rating of that top 5 was the merest smidgeon short of 90.

Last mentioned in these threads when he won a Reload in May 2022, @Papahaveit won the £800 BH.

@jw91483 disappeared from the MTT streets just over a year ago only to return two weeks ago & win a 7 @ 7, & last night, playing for just the 4th time since he won the Rebuy BH beating a tough FT including @Fabraclass in 2nd.

7 @ 7 went the way of @worsty who had his most prolific results here in the period between 2020 & 2022. Quite highly rated according to Sharky.

You may recall that on Sunday @stungar111 won Mega, well he never played it on Monday but he was back on last night, one tabled Mega & won it again.

Also on Sunday, @Chalky666 won 9 @ 9, & last night he won MidEx, so that's him wedged up enough to be at Brighton this weekend I hope.

There were wins for the Usual Suspects such as @GSmith13 @bigfatfish @anjie1970 & @235467, but as they all feature regularly, & I've pretty much run out of things to say about them, so now I try to feature the players who don't win too often, as an occasional good result means so much more to them. Hope that makes sense.

In the Brighton Semi, @Wailes won their first seat, @MISTY4ME will be making the long trek from Cornwall with 2 seats booked, & @karlluke picked up £198. Tina @karlluke would have been at Brighton anyway, she's probably attended more SPT's than almost anyone here.

Some spectacular CL matches tonight, including Liverpool v Real Madrid, so once again, there'll likely be plenty of overlay for bargain hunters.
