This day last year
"As was the case this day last year, MTT traffic was very buoyant, with Avenger Main coming in at £9,380, some 6% up on last year. BWBH went the opposite way, 9% down y-o-y at £5,600. Nothing overlaid, always good to see.
@Swog began December in glorious style, & from just 5 MTT's played he won Avenger Main, 8th in BWBH, 6th in Turbo, 2nd in Quickdraw, & 5th in a £300 Turbo BH. Has had an exceptionally good 2023, successes this year include wins in Sunday Major, BWBH (twice), Avenger Main (twice), Summit, £6k BH & a Predator Main. And it's not that he puts in monster volume here, I believe he plays a fair bit on the bigger sites, plus frequent forays into the Live arena. I had the mercifully brief misfortune to sit next to him (to his left, thank goodness) in an SPT & he's a complete pain, relentlessly raising & betting even out of position. Only way I found to combat that was to respond in kind, & it worked (of sorts...) for a few orbits before, thank goodness, I got moved to another table. I'm quite sure he'd have busted me if I'd not been moved so soon. A full on PITA. @FeelGroggy was 2nd, continuing his recent trend of hitting the post & crossbar - in the last week alone he's made 7 FT's, finishing 2nd three times, 3rd twice, 4th & 5th once each. 4th was @Itsover4u who also made the BWBH FT, running 2nd. In fact @Itsover4u won Avenger Main last Friday, so came very close indeed to a spectacular double. One week after taking down the Avenger Mini, his best ever score, @hhammerhea was 6th, not bad considering his ABI is south of a fiver. Two players who shall be nameless (neither made the FT) had 6 Rebuys & an add-on, so spent a total of £160 each.
@Gutshotter won the Mini. Has had some terrific nights lately, notably winning Avenger Main & BWBH on the same night, and a few weeks later winning two UKOPS events on same night, one of which was a Main.
@Woebegone is a serial winner of both Quickdraw & MidEx, but he stepped up in class last night & took down BWBH. I believe that's a PB for him.
In the Rebuy BH, despite not playing much "live" @spider_net proved his is decent on the web by taking the win.
With SPT Manchester less than a week away the SPT Semis are performing better now, & for the 2nd straight night @StayOrGo won a seat, so that's three he has now. @dixo64 won his first seat, & @__Assassin picked up £66 in loose change.
48 hours after finishing 2nd in the £1k BH, @bigeaz001 took the 7 @ 7.
Absent for just over a week, @loopster89 returned to win the £1k BH.
That'll have to do for today. I'm going to spend most of today enjoying the televised football, most especially Newcastle United v Man United tonight. Num num num."

A fairly brief affair this morning due to Brighton SPT, & that will be the case daily until Tuesday, as I'll be busy with SPT today, Saturday & Sunday, & driving back to Derbyshire on Monday morning.
Traffic was thin again last night, as has been the case most of this week, with aggregate overlay totting up to the best part of £800.
The Main went to @AldosSnow who won his seat for £1.80 in an All-In Sat & turned it into £956 which means he multiplied his investment by about 530. Nice. Also won a little £200 BH yesterday afternoon. He had a terrific night two weeks ago today, winning Mini Avenger & 2nd in BWBH. Best result to date was winning the Sunday night £5k BH in August of last year. 2nd was @Chalky666 who is in great form having won Sunday's 9 @ 9 & Tuesday's MidEx. He'll almost certainly be at this weekend's SPT so the drinks are on him.
@Coolrider1 has made three Mini FT's this year with last night being his first win, it's also his best result since he joined us 3 or 4 years ago. Only previous featured MTT win was a £2k Turbo in March of 2021.
Last week @wigglytuff won Wednesday's Quickdraw, last night he notched another 1st place, Mega this time.
@evju plays Reload (& nothing else) almost every night, exactly a week after finishing 2nd he took the win last night.
On a similar note, @GIPSYKING was 2nd (to @Chalky666 ) in Sunday's 9 @ 9 & went a spot better last night.
We have another like that too, @AndyJ1963 was 2nd in the £800 BH on Tuesday & 1st last night. Played it Wednesday too, but was only 158/165 so we'll quickly move on.
Our man @Shrimpy28 who you may recall won Saturday's Sharpshooter played just 3 MTT's yesterday, winning two of them, a Timed affair at lunchtime & then MidEx. Such a shame we won't see him at Brighton, though at least we'll be spared the sight of his chubby little legs which we were exposed to at a Manchester SPT a while back.
The very last SPT Brighton Semi saw @ubeenpwned win his first seat, @TommyD his second seat, & £198 to @drarry12.
