"As you might expect at this time of year, numbers were frothy right across the board. The bare numbers say that the Major at £13,100 was a massive 31% up y-o-y as there was a whopping £2,000 overlay last year but comparisons with last year don't tell us much as this day last year England played Senegal in the World Cup, which was bound to impact traffic heavily. The Mini Major covered last night, a rarity these days, & everything else was at or near the top of it's range, with the highlights being the £1k Rebuy BH (£1,790), the £6k BH (£6,990) & £1,000 Sheriff (£1,800).
Starting with the Major, @Thoich took the honours. In addition he was 7th in the £6k BH & 4th in Quickdraw. The Major win (£3,668) was by some way his best ever score here, beating UKOPS victories in 2020 (£1,312) & 2016 (£1,044). Amongst the finalists in those two UKOPS were @chicknMelt@railtard11 & @devil_tear all of whom are no longer here it seems. @TIMBER@GSmith13 & @chrisdonkb filled the next 3 positions last night. In 6th was @riverdam who was leader for a long way before the dam burst. Many years ago he was amongst the best here, & he recorded no less than three Super Roller wins in 2013 & 2016, worth a combined £15,000. He plays less frequently these days but still has game, & was 2nd in Hitman Main last Thursday. It was quite a night even by his standards for Mean Machine @GSmith13 as in addition to 3rd in the Major, he was 3rd in a £500 BH, 87th in Mega, 2nd in that huge Sheriff, 2nd in Quickdraw, & won himself a seat to SPT Manchester. Personally, I'm delighted he'll be in Manchester, unless of course we end up sharing tables.
It was an unusually competitive Mini Major with @chkngeorge getting the nod ahead of @aynaricol who had a very lengthy session but did OK as she took down the Head Hunter later in the evening. 4th was @boggo who I miss very much, as we had such fun when he came to Vegas with us one year & did better than anyone else. He ran quite deep in the Main & so I cancelled my flight home to rail him, then minutes later he bust, sigh.
The £6k BH went to @williskl1 & I fancy it was a PB, the only previous features wins I could find were a bunch of £1k BH's plus a single 7 @ 7. 4th was @bakersdoze & 5th @nslater112. @Natnug was 6th, but won Mega as well as a Sunday Major seat in a £24 satellite.
There were father & son victories in Sheriff ( @StayOrGo) & Quickdraw ( @Limp2Lose), not something we see too often.
The £1k Rebuy BH went to Super-Senior @MacMonster who seems to have been here for ever & is probably almost as old as @HAYSIE.
@BigDane who has three Mains to his credit (Sharpy, Predator & Gold Rush) took the opener.
9 @ 9 winner @bsa1972 also ran 4th in Reload, which you may recall he won last Monday.
@flemis2 has only been here a month & played just 42 MTT's but has made a bright start, he won last night's Reload, having also won a £300 Rebuy & a £150 Turbo on Saturday. Might be one for the notebook.
As already mentioned, @GSmith13 won an SPT seat, with the other seat going to @dousan86. The latter only ever plays Manchester sats & this was his fifth attempt, so presumably he's a local.

And that, as they say, is a wrap."
Morning.
Once again, just the bare results today, due to SPT Brighton.
