That's SO wrong. Politicians, especially Presidents, should not be able to do this sort of stuff.
And in a fabulous irony, Trump has criticised Biden for it. I mean, yeah, fair comment, Trump is right of course, but coming from Trump of all people....
That might just come back & bite his racist **** big time.
It is a tradition of the last UK Govt (of any Party) to put people into the House of Lords. It serves a dual purpose-both to reward loyalty, and to remove people loyal to the last leader from the House of Commons, so that any new leader can have a fresh start. Nit the same as cancelling Criminal Convictions.
What Trump-and now Biden-are doing is totally different. In 1 case it is pardoning the Criminal Acts of Biden's son. And in the other the Criminal Acts carried out by the former/future President personally.
And they both have the cheek to criticise the other for doing something they are doing themselves. In Biden's case, all this hogwash about "Justice" for his son-he pleaded Guilty
What Father that has the Power to do so, would not help his Children in times like this.
Hunter Biden said in an emailed statement that he will never take for granted the relief granted to him and vowed to devote the life he has rebuilt “to helping those who are still sick and suffering”.
“I have admitted and taken responsibility for my mistakes during the darkest days of my addiction – mistakes that have been exploited to publicly humiliate and shame me and my family for political sport,” the younger Biden said.
"5) Ukraine: Devon Archer joined the Burisma board of directors in spring of 2014 and was joined by Hunter Biden shortly thereafter. Hunter Biden joined the company as counsel, but after a meeting with Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky in Lake Como, Italy, was elevated to the board of directors in the spring of 2014. Both Biden and Archer were each paid $1 million per year for their positions on the board of directors. In December 2015, after a Burisma board of directors meeting, Zlochevsky and Hunter Biden “called D.C.” in the wake of mounting pressures the company was facing. Zlochevsky was later charged with bribing Ukrainian officials with $6 million in an attempt to delay or drop the investigation into his company. The total amount from Ukraine to the Biden family and their associates is $6.5 million."

It's all about Ukraine and the Biden's dodgy dealings there.
