"Bit of a truncated write-up today, as I'm prepping to go up to Manchester tomorrow & have loads of assorted stuff to sort in readiness for 3 nights away from home.

Bit of a bloodbath last night, with 7 of the featured MTT's missing guarantee. As an example, the £5,000 Main came in at £4,470 pre-guarantee, so £530 overlay, & some 22% worse than last year. We don't need to look far for the reason though, last night had the best 6 match Premier League schedule all season, with all 6 games televised live am Amazon PRIME. Sky Bet were loving life, Sky Poker not so much. Fair play to Sky Poker for holding the guarantees when they knew full well they were in for a black eye.

@Limp2Lose took the Main. He's been playing a lot more MTT's here this month & seems to be doing just fine. He was 1st in Monday's Quickdraw, 2nd in last night's Quickdraw, & 4th in Tuesday's Main. Solid form that especially as he mainly plays cash games. @Thoich is on a terrific run, won Sunday's Major (£3,600), 2nd in Monday's Main (£600), 2nd in last night's Main (£571). @bbMike played around a dozen £1.80 All-In Sats, won two of them, then ran 3rd in the Main for a very useful £400.

@jedinemo took the Mini & was back on site this morning in time to win a £150 Turbo BH. Keen.

9 @ 9 has not been running all that long - less than a year for sure - & @hhammerhea won it for the 7th time last night. Jon seems to stick to what he knows best & does very nicely indeed. 5th was @BEANIE who won Reload the previous night.

@beaky is not a player who gets too many mentions but he took down Reload. In September he won the £1k BH twice on consecutive nights.

The opener went to @Piol22 who was 4th in Monday's Mini. Note who was 5th - @DOHHHHHHH. Great to see he's still around. Hope he's OK.


Time constraints means that's it for today. Note that as I'll be up at the SPT, there will only be "Lite" versions Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon, with normal service, such as it is, resuming on Tuesday."

Morning.

Two PL matches Live on TV did us no favours last night, & we racked up £878 in overlay, £500 of which arose in Summit. Tonight won't be great either, 6 more Live PL games on TV (PRIME), including Arsenal v Man U & Newcastle v Liverpool. It will be a similar story on Thursday too, two more games that night, both of which are attractive fixtures.

Unfortunately, Sharkscope is playing up this morning, so I may have to rely on my memory today. God help us all.

In the Main, the very much in-form @ra1d took the honours. He won Summit a week ago & made a dash at doing so again last night, coming up just shy in 2nd. In the recent UKOPS he ran 4th in the £500 High Roller for ~£2,000. Has won a Sunday Major & three Summits in total. Clearly useful. To @TONY509 goes the exceedingly rare honour (honour?) of finishing 2nd in Main Events on consecutive nights. Not quite sure if we should label that lucky or unlucky. Either way, a few hundred players would gladly swap with him.

@NIVVYDOH took the Mini. Very little volume in their 17 years here, & most of that was cash games. This appears to be a PB as well as his thread debut. Do seem to recall he was a decent PLO8 player back in the day though. Runner-up was @onahigh who appears to do rather well in the Rewards Freeroll, although in last night's renewal he could only manage 122nd for exactly a quid.

A small but very select field contested Summit, with @Natnug grabbing 1st place from a high quality FT that included Main Event winner @ra1d in 2nd, @NChanning in 3rd, @PAPABURG in 4th & @cabbaz in 5th. @91kid15 was 6th, & that's not an alias we see here often, but his CV includes at least two UKOPS wins, including a £500 High Roller. FWIW, Sharky give him a 94 rating.

@gixxerk4 who was 2nd in Monday's 7 @ 7 won last night's £800 BH. Apparently he golfs 4 times a week right though the winter, exactly as I do. The difference is, he can play... Actually, I've been thinking for a while that I maybe ought to start a Golf Thread, lots of Forum users play golf & you never know, it might prove popular. Might even find a few free entries for regular "guess my score" comps.

@XTUCKERX won 7 @ 7 again. I doubt anyone has won 7 @ 7 more often.

The Rebuy BH went to @kc66 for the second time in three months. Other successes in the past include wins in the £800 BH, Mega, & 9 @ 9.

It's been a while since @kazzaroo11 graced the winner's circle but that changed last night as he won 9 @ 9.

Similar comments apply to Reload winner @spam600. As an aside, does anyone know how spam (the tinned meat, not the unwanted e-Mails) got it's name. Consulting Dr Google seems to bring up several different answers.

"Some say SPAM stands for Specially Processed American Meat, others believe it is a portmanteau for spiced ham, while others say it stands for Shoulder of Pork and Ham."

These are the things that keep weird folks awake at night. Others include worrying about Lurpak I suppose. Takes all sorts, doesn't it?
