"The weather continues to be bitter & the MTT traffic better. It should be illegal to be this cold, but at least there are some upsides.
Last night saw the introduction of the new 9 @ 9, & incredibly, with 111 runners, the prize pool came to exactly.....
£999
Wait till the conspiracy theorists see that, it's going to be hilarious. They'd call the police if they could remember the number. The clue is in the prize pool lads...
The winner of the first 9 @ 9 was @XgudiS which was rather fitting, as just 24 hours earlier they took down the junior version, the 7 @ 7. I think it will be a while before any player completes that 24 hour double again.
Three weeks ago @adair333 won the Mini, & he stepped up a gear last night & won Predator Main. @dameflop is in amazing form, on Tuesday she was 2nd in the Main, last night she was 3rd in 7 @ 7 & 4th in the Main. She'll be charging @glencoelad for lessons soon at this rate.
@LuckyDaveB has a stellar record in the Mini, with at least 6 wins in the last few years, & he added another last night
@ILIKE2FISH continues to impress. On Monday he won the 23.30 £150 BH, he repeated the trick on Tuesday, then last night he won the opening £1k BH, so that's a lovely little 72 hour hat-trick.
The £1k Rebuy BH fell to @Wayne85 who has a rather odd playing profile. Has over 18,000 games to his credit, of which only ~3% are MTT's, but he seems to do very well in them & probably makes more money from them than from DYM's. (If we ignore Rewards money)."
A full schedule of CL & Champo matches did not bode well for MTT traffic & so it proved, with overlay totalling £887 across 4 featured MTT's - Summit, Mega, Reload & Turbo - the majority of which arose from Summit (£500). Not much can be done on CL nights except grin & bear it I suppose.
@ILIKE2FISH won the Main. Won his seat in a satellite, & as it happens he probably plays as many, if not more satellites than anyone on the site. He was with us in Vegas this year & seems a really grounded guy. It was his 4th Main Event win, has also won Summit twice, the latest being last month. Been runner-up in some biggies too - twice in the Major, once in a UKOPS Rebuy& once in a BWBH. The runner-up last night was @loosecamel who is on a heater & a half, later in the session he won Quickdraw, & of course it' was only 48 hours earlier that he won the Major & he was 3rd in a Major last month too. Looking at his Sharky graph makes me dizzy. @Bensons22 is another doing well of late, he was 3rd, with the softly spoken @ScottyKaye exiting in 4th after which I'm sure he offered warm congratulations to the remaining three.
Delighted to see @who_me win the Mini, he's been on the mother of all downswings since running 2nd in a 2022 Avenger Mini, which in fact was his best result ever, with last night's win being his 2nd best. 3rd was @Suitnboot who has been going well recently, winning a Mini 2 weeks ago then last Sunday's 9 @ 9. 6th was @elvistdc11 & I'm a touch intrigued by the "tdc" part of that alias. Back in the day when we used to maintain cars ourselves "tdc" stood for "top dead centre" (of the piston stroke) which we needed to know when we were adjusting tappets. Doubt modern cars even have tappets, but in those days we all had a set of tappet feeler gauges, & very proud of them we were, too.
As always, Summit had a hot FT, with @Steed432 charging to victory. What a stellar CH he has, which includes victories 3 times in the Major, 3 times in Summit & twice in BWBH, but above all those he won the "Main Main" in the recent Autumn UKOPS for which he collected a whopping £10,200. Proper money that. 2nd last night was @loololollo who you surely know all about, with Monday's Marksman Main winner @5ausagesin 3rd.
The £800 BH fell to @pete1 who maybe a little shy as he's not visible on Sharky, so all I can tell you is that he joined Sky Poker at the very start in February 2007 & does quite nicely.
@Starling17 only occassionally flies our way & was playing just his 8th MTT in over a month when murmurating to 1st place in 7 @ 7. I could not resist shoehorning "murmuration" in there, sorry, though I was surprised to discover after a cursory google that the term is not exclusive to Starlings.
A month & a day after running 2nd in the Rebuy BH @blablabla tried again & went one better. Biggest ever score was for winning a Summit this time 2 years ago.
A real shock result in Reload as victory went to @jackus97 who was playing his first MTT here for just short of 4 years. Goodness me, that'll set the conspiracy theorists imaginations racing, assuming they possess such a thing.
@paul10is low volume these days, usually MidEx, which he won (again) last night. Very highly rated, with a CV that includes numerous Main Event wins including Avenger.
One of the most loyal PLO8 players on the site is @gollygosh who has been AWOL for a fortnight but returned in style last night to take the 19.18 PLO8.
There were wins too for @AlexaAJ@ozzieowen & @Fabraclass but as they all win with great frequency, you already know all about them, so these days I try to feature those who win less often. Inclusivity & all that.
That's it for today. Tonight sees more CL action, including the winners-in-waiting, Arsenal. That's a must watch.
