"A very similar day to this day last year, with the Main coming in just 5 entries (£150) higher at £5,490.
@Curt360x27 took the Main, & even by his lofty standards he's had a terrific 2023. It was his 2nd Main Event win in 10 days, the previous being Hitman Main. In 6th was @DOHHHHHHH & it's terrific to see him back in the Sky Poker MTT streets. As always, has a very high ratio of cashes to games played, & that was the case last night - 6th in the Main, 6th in a £400 BH, 9th in Reload & 5th in Quickdraw. Used to play a lot of cash & was - in relative terms - a big winner. If you are reading this JJ, hope you & yours are well, & all the best in '24.
In the Mini, @Woebegone was the main man. He's been winning MTT's for fun recently, quite a ide range of them too.
@lucy1111 has a routine of playing just 2 MTT's per night, 7 @ 7 & 9 @ 9, & it paid off handsomely last night with a win in the bigger of the two.
@Swog played 4 MTT's, finishing 4th in the Main & then keeping his legion of anti-railers in suspense until he ended the session by winning MidEx, much to the surprise & disappointment of most.
Congratulations to @ramsfan, on Saturday they could only manage 2nd in Quickdraw but they had another bash last night & got the win. Very tough FT, which included @Limp2Lose@seikus@TIMBER@DOHHHHHHH & @Fabraclass.
@Kev1892 has had a challenging time of late, but maybe 1st place in last night's Turbo signals a change of fortune.
@Lee_Boy really seems to be getting the hang of things, just 48 hours after winning Mini Sharpshooter, he chimed in again last night by winning the opener. Was 2nd in a big UKOPS Mini Rebuy 6 weeks ago too.
That'll do for today, except to remind everyone that there's some delicious added value in the UKOPS Rewards Freerolls this week & next. Last night 2 players won £220 High Roller seats, & six won £110 Main Event seats. That repeats tonight through Friday, then a similar deal Mon-Fri next week, & in all cases there is a £500 cash prize pool too. Not bad for freerolls."
Despite two PL matches that kicked off at 7pm (on a Sunday evening, most unusual) MTT traffic was pretty decent right across the board with the singular & glaring exception of the £5k BH which missed by a rather nasty £680. No idea what that was about though I suppose the football did not help.
Our Sunday Major winner was Mr @destinycod who I have often described as perhaps the best MTT player - or nearly so - on the site. I may be wrong, but I get the impression that his poker skills are mostly natural & he has not spent much time on coaching sites or reading push-fold charts & all that stuff. Plus, I've spent a fair bit of time in his company & I've never once heard him complain about a bad beat. Sign of a proper grown-up, that. He plays "Live" & on other online poker sites, but on Sky Poker alone his Roll of Honour includes 3 UKOPS wins (High Roller, Rebuy & Turbo), 3 Sunday Majors, a BWBH, an Avenger Main, half a dozen regular Mains, and, astonishingly, SIX Summit wins. I dread to think how much he's won on other sites. If he does not go off the rails, he'll never have to do a day's work for the rest of his life, he'll always be able to get by on poker earnings. We rarely see a "bad" Major FT & last night was no exception, with our man being followed home by wee @MikeyW94@Hoff92 & @PokaBayb9. Sky Poker will breath a sigh of relief that a hat-trick of FTJ payouts was avoided last night, in fact nobody even came close.
Mini Major went to the ever-improving @snoxx11 who had an almost perfect if short session, just 4 MTT's played but finished 1st in Mini Major, 2nd in Reload & 6th in 9 @ 9. His Sharky graph gets ever steeper, the highlights being a brace of Summit victories just a month apart in 2018. 6th was @loololollowho went on to win the 20.45 Mega.
Although the £5k BH was on the Naughty Step for all that overlay, we saw a deserving winner in @millys who was a little unfortunate not to win a Marksman Main last month when running into an in-form @wigglytuff. Runner-up was @TopNTail who joined us earlier this year, mainly plays cash plus a sprinkling of MTT's. Only other FT was 2nd in a 9 @ 9 back in August.
Sheriff had it's biggest field for some time - 24 entrants plus 8 Rebuys & young @Natnug simply ran amok, busting people for fun & taking no less than 13 (THIRTEEN) head prizes from that small field. And it was not as if it was an easy Sheriff, amongst the finalists were @destinycod@Tedson & @StayOrGo. Barring accidents @Natnugis just a fortnight away from being crowned "2024 Sky Poker Most Profitable MTT-er", which will complete a hat-trick for him. It's not quite done & dusted yet, @loololollo is just $8,000 behind him & an exceptional UKOPS might make it close, but Sky Bet make Natnug the 1/3 jolly.
In winning the £800 BH @Kenzo53669 registered his 4th Featured MTT victory on 2024, having already locked up 2 Megas & a Rebuy BH.
@bauerdoes not often get a name check but he had a splendid session from just a handful of MTT's played - 1st in 7 @ 7, 2nd & 6th in £300 BH's, & 4th in the £800 BH.
@bigeaz001 enhanced his already solid record in early evening stuff by taking the £1k Rebuy BH, that's the 2nd time he's won that, he also took down a Mini Marksman last year.
9 @ 9 went to @SPRING29 who has some solid results, including a Marksman Main this summer & a few Megas.
@Burtace123 has a terrific record in Reload & won it again last night, that's at least the 6th time.
Think that's about it for today. Was lovely to see so many players congratulating @JammyFker on yesterday's thread. A little effort counts for a lot, you know.
