This day last year

"Christmas Eve & all that, so a fairly brief write-up this morning.

After being mostly AWOL since winning a £500 BH 5 days earlier, @ForeSight returned to the fray last night & took down Sharpshooter Main. This was their 5th best score all-time, a list headed by a boomlet Gold Rush Main in 2020 which netted over £2,000, & which came just 48 hours after winning a UKOPS Mini.

@king1loui3 is another recent returnee after a month's sabbatical, & the rest seems to have worked wonders as he won the Mini. 3rd was @snoxx11 with @RogueCell 4th.

@Awoken has only been here 3 months but is starting to find their stride. Began the month with their first featured MTT win, taking Mega, and won it again last night. Had a good few FT's too, so might be one to keep an eye on. @Lee_Boy has had a wonderful week, 1st & 2nd in Minis, 1st in the £1k BH & now 3rd in Mega.

9 @ 9 went to @greg1974 who also won a £500 BH the previous night. A fabulous performance saw @coo1-um finish 3rd, he also ran 4th in the opener, both of which will do his current challenge no harm at all.

@Gigitygoon won the £1k BH & after a bit of delving it seems he has a decent CV which includes wins in Sheriff, 7 @ 7, Rebuy BH, & a handful of £1k BH's.

@THEHOFF07 won 7 @ 7 for the 2nd time this month & an amazing 5th time this year. Won a Sharpy Mini earlier this year too.

@Dingle1234 had a cracking session, starting off by winning a seat to the Major in the nightly Freeroll, & ending it with 1st place in MidEx.

Oh yes, a much better night, with just £79 of overlay, £72 of which came from Reload, whilst 7 @ 7 fell one entry short.

Avenger Main, the one everyone wants to win, went to @TONY509 who has won everything there is to win here - all the regular Mains, Sunday Majors, BWBH, Summit, UKOPS, he's won the lot, most of it several times, in his 17 years here. Runner-up @mazzybabe has a remarkable record in Avenger Main, having finished 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th, 7th & 9th. Only been here around 20 months too, with their best result being 4th in a Sunday Major in May of last year. @JammyFker was 3rd, less than a week after he collected a £2,500 FTJ for 2nd in the Main & 1st in the Mini. Was he close again last night? Nah, 143/289 in the Mini. Useless. After winning Thursday's Reload, MidEx regular @T1962 was 6th.

Arguably the most satisfying result of the night was @Angela124 winning the Mini, their biggest win here in over 3,000 MTT's, beating by some way their 2nd best which was 1st place in a 2022 MidEx. I actually have no idea of the gender of @Angela124 & nor does it matter, but I do know they are one of the most eloquent Forum contributors we have. That's not to say I agree with everything they post - I most definitely don't - but they do have that very rare ability to debate rather than argue & to concede points where appropriate. If only we had a few more like that. Runner-up was @sloppy33 (4th best result from over 1,000 MTTs) with good old @mildsteal0 completing the podium.

Well he underlined my point last night winning another £110er, BWBH this time. Summit & BWBH in the same week says "I've arrived".

Also on Wednesday I did a write-up on Gold Rush Main winner @SaulGodman who was back in the winner's circle last night, Mega this time. Better call Saul, eh?

@davidplatt is having a quite remarkable week & he scored again last night, winning the Rebuy BH just 24 hours after winning the £800 BH. In addition, his name has come out of the December Daily Draw hat twice this week, Tuesday & Friday, so that's another £200.

Congrats on their first Featured MTT win goes to @boxfgau16 who won the £800 BH.

After several very poor nights Turbo bounced back last night with a £1,500 prize pool & it was @RUTSTER19 who took top spot. Has some lovely notches on his bedpost from back in the day including 1st places in Sky Sports BH, an £8,000 BH & a UKOPS.

@ToddB who has won 2 Minis this year, the latest just a week or so ago, took down the 9 @ 9.

@snoxx11 finished his sesh in tremendous style, winning a late night £300 BH then following up with 1st place in MidEx. Won the Mini Major last Sunday too.

In the UKOPS Reward Freerolls two of the seat winners were @karlluke & @smellbl1nd. Tough to imagine two players who are more different in their style of table chat.

Finally, our old friend @tomb1793 won a Sunday Major seat in the Freeroll. Watch out for him on Sunday, he has a habit of rising to the occasion.
