"Very reasonable numbers last night.
I've included one additional MTT today, that new £11 BH that made it's debut last night. New tourney but same old faces, with the top 4 spots going to @chkngeorge @chrisdonkb @Itsover4u & @FeelGroggy. Might only be an £11 entry £500 guaranteed but that certainly took some winning. The guarantee was £500, & it made £580, so a solid if unspectacular start.
The Main was won by @gizmokid who is in his 17th year here & is mainly a cash game player. Tends to play the occasional MTT - this was just their eighth in the last month - & single-table. Only other featured MTT win I could find was in the Sunday night £5,000 BH last March. Tough FT, with @loololollo (making his 2024 thread debut) in 2nd & @destinycod in 4th. Was quite a session for @destinycod, he only played 4 MTT's & results included 4th in the Main, 5th in Turbo & 2nd in Quickdraw, so a very profitable session.
@GOBILKOGO took the Mini. Has been doing very well of late, & in a 2 week spell in December, he won Sunday Major seats in the nightly Freeroll three times. Had a deep run into 9th in the Major itself on the last occasion. 4th was @Kahuna96 @SMARTGOAT in 6th, one spot better than he later managed in 9 @ 9.
The Mega FT was an exceptional tough one & the heads-up battle was very much old school v the pesky kids, with @NChanning eventually getting the better of SPT Champ @chrisdonkb. 3rd & 4th were @AlexaAJ & @cabbaz, so that was a proper tough FT.
@Steed432 who does particularly well in Turbo & Quickdraw, won Summit. 2nd was @ra1d who was making his 4th Summit FT in less than 2 months. Was also 6th in Turbo & 4th in Quickdraw. 3rd was @UnEuropean who made an Xmas UKOPS FT a few days earlier. One spot behind was @Solack, who ran 3rd in that big UKOPS High Roller a couple of days ago & won a BWBH just before Christmas.
Playing their first MTT here since late August, @ratman2000 showed up last night & won Reload.
@sunny15018 got the better of an unusually tough Quickdraw FT, and was chased home by @destinycod (2nd), @Jessieak (3rd), @Steed432 (4th), @SwannLoL (5th) & @River_Fox 6th. That's a remarkable sequence by @River_Fox who was 2nd in it the previous night & won UKOPS 19 late last week. River_Fox was not done yet though, went on to run 5th in MidEx, before embarking on an all-nighter which included no less than SIX Final Tables (2nd, 2nd & 4th in Timeds & 2nd, 2nd & 6th in BH's). That graph is definitely starting to move the right way now, amazing what a bit of confidence does.
Congrats to @INGLISC who makes their thread debut after winning the Rebuy BH. Decent win in fact, as had to fend off @Asho28 & @steveysee in the podium battle.
Finally, rather like goalkeepers or wicketkeepers, we all know that you have to be a bit weird to play PLO8, & that was certainly the case last night as @lfccarl took the win, followed by @Enut @weecheez1 @steveysee @PaintedOne & @CR33P. Proper diverse set of players there, something for everyone."

Welcome to the very last write up of 2024. Somehow we've managed a Review every single day this year, even though a few of them - maybe 20 or so? - were "Lite" versions due to SPT's or just me being indisposed or lazy. Quite pleasing, that, & for those that plough through my daily dirge, well done, you deserve a medal.
On we go then, & it was a pleasant surprise that despite the expected post-UKOPS hangover, numbers were pretty good last night, certainly north of my expectations. This was despite Man U v Newcastle on TV which, incidentally, is always a good game & did not disappoint last night. Unless you are a Man U fan, obv.
The £4,000 Main checked in at just shy of £5,000, with @bronx claiming pride of place at the top. He had a double actually, he was on site all day from early morning, & won a mid-afternoon £200 BH. Not the first time he's won Marksman, as he also won it in February 2022. His alias is presumably in honour of the densely populated New York Borough which is home to the Yankee Stadium. It was a very decent FT, with the very useful @Nitrogen in 2nd. He comes & goes, & has taken 5 months to play his last 100 MTT's. 3rd to 5th were the consistent @LittleGJ then @ozzieowen (who won Mega) & @Gambelo who we will return to later. In 6th was @mp561030 who despite just ~200 MTT's here already has two UKOPS titles - a High Roller in November, & a Rebuy a few days ago.
@TKDROB took the Mini, he was a stalwart of the old Forum Triple Takedown, & he's now played over 10,000 MTT's here. Runner-up was @bert21 earning him his best cash since winning a 7 @ 7 in October. He's something of a Mini specialist having previously won the Mini twice, been 2nd 5 times, 4th 8 times, 5th twice & 6th 3 times. Never been 3rd though. Yet. 6th was @gregkdy82 who is perhaps better known as a DYM player, having played 35,397 of them compared to just 1,852 MTT's, so around 95% of his play is in DYMs. Despite that, when he plays MTT's his ROI is almost 60% according to Sir Sharky. Makes you wonder why he does not play more of them.
@Gambelo was in great form & from just 6 MTT's played notched up 2 wins (Sheriff & Quickdraw) & ran 5th in the Main. He's running super hot in Quickdraw right now, in the last 3 nights he's finished 4th, 1st & 1st. Very useful indeed, & has won the Sunday Major three times including a boomlet version which had 163 entries & for which he pocketed over £5,000.
@onlyme7304 showed signs of a return to form when 11th in Sunday's Rebuy BH & so it proved as he romped to 1st place in last night's £800 BH. Think it's his first Featured MTT success. Always reminds me of that great Harry Enfield character.
Another first-timer in 7 @ 7 which was taken by @JCC playing just his 8th MTT in two months.

Two wins in 2 days for @heedgehog who won an early morning £150 BH on Sunday then followed up with top spot in last night's Turbo. Note his alias is @heedgehog not hedgehog, which is either deliberate or a spello.
MidEx went to @jas69 for the 2nd time in just over a month.
There were also victories for @ozzieowen (Mega) & @bigfatfish (9 @ 9) but there's nothing I can tell you about that pair of rascals you don't already know.
New Year's Eve tonight & unless Sky James changes them later today, tonight's Guarantees all remain unchanged, so every chance of overlay. And on that happy note I'll leave you with this message...
