This day last year
"Really healthy numbers last night, with the £1,000 Quickdraw possibly the star turn, coming in at £1,780. The new £500 BH, on it's third night, did very well too, making £660 which I think is it's best performances yet.
A lot of players made multi FT's last night, which makes the Report hard to write, &, in all probability, even harder to read. I'd SO love to make a better job, but it's sustainability that's the issue - churning them out 7/365 means it's nigh impossible to keep them fresh & original. Anyway, we can only play the cards we are dealt, so on we go.
@chrisdonkb got himself off the 2024 mark by winning the Main. Interestingly, @benc was 2nd, & those two clashed again in Mega with the outcome reversed. @Limp2Lose has been playing more MTT's lately & it seems to be yielding results, last night he was 3rd in the Main, 2nd in Sheriff & 2nd in Turbo, a great return from just 6 games played. In 5th was @AlexaAJ who also ran 3rd in Mini, so earned £200 from the FTJ. Has anyone featured in FTJ payments as much as @AlexaAJ? Somehow I doubt it. Incidentally, Sharky reckon Alexa has a 75% ROI over 5,500+ games at an ABI of £20. Those are serious numbers. Last night alone he managed 5th in Main, 3rd in Mini, 1st in a £500 BH & 6th Quickdraw. Nobody is immune from MTT variance, but I fancy he makes money more nights than not.
@Lee_Boy took the Mini & seems to be much improved. It's their 2nd Mini win in 3 weeks, plus they ran 2nd in an Autumn UKOPS Mini for a PB in October. The omnipresent @AlexaAJ was 3rd with @spearsy136 4th.
As noted earlier, @benc & @chrisdonkb reversed their Main finishing positions in Mega. Shoutout to @wynne1938 who was a creditable 5th on a tough FT.
With @Natnug seemingly taking a short break - exactly as he did last January - @loololollo is taking full advantage & cleaning up. 2nd in Tuesday's Main, 1st in Wednesday's 9 @ 9, he managed a win double last night, taking both Sheriff & 7 @ 7.
Last night's 9 @ 9 saw the thread debut of @nathan0845 who appears to be a low-volume one tabler.
@Hod4k997 won MidEx & was 2nd in 9 @ 9. MidEx runner-up was none other than @NChanning who seems to be in splendid form as we enter 2024. He always enjoys SPT Brighton so I'm quite sure we'll see him there when it takes place in about 8 weeks time. Think he likes to book lodgings in Eastbourne & walk the 25 miles to & from the Casino in Brighton daily. You may think I'm kidding, but I'm not. Exaggerating maybe, but deffo not kidding. He's one of those very odd people that likes walking. Go figure.
@Bambus has made a banging start to the year. Won Turbo last night which means that in successive nights he's finished 1st, 3rd & 2nd in Turbo, & threw in a 1st place in 7 @ 7 for good measure.
Quickdraw went to @mcmoron10 who is not someone we see in MTT reports often as he mainly a cash game player. Has a few decent results though, including 1st in BWBH & 2nd in Summit 10 days apart last August. Plays a lot of Heads Up stuff too, including at the £100 & £200 stake levels.
@yacca plays Reload - & nothing else - every night so it's good to see him on a bit of a roll, 4th on Tuesday, 17th on Wednesday & 1st last night.
The new £11 BH went to @steveysee and I notice he's twice made the FT of the big nightly PLO8 this week. I never knew he was a plopper, but I'm obviously pleased to see it."

Despite being here all these years I still find it impossible to predict MTT traffic & last night was another case in point as numbers were generally very good, certainly better than I expected, with the £4,000 Main springing quite a surprise at £5,670. That was despite London's top two Premier League teams playing each other "live" on TV.
A feature of last night seems to be that many players had multi-cashes, amongst them @GSmith13 @destinycod @tonyp142 & @lwwl (plus of course those I've missed, which is a certainty...).
The Main which came in at a very handsome £5,670 went to @jedinemo who has been doing particularly well of late. Had to beat a good quality FT too. Not satisfied with winning the Main he stayed on site until the early hours & won a red-eye £100 BH that started at 0230. 2nd was @destinycod who we will return to later. The much-improved @Chalky666 was 3rd & also ran 5th in Mega. Keep an eye on him this year, he's taking his poker more seriously & if you recall he won TWO UKOPS events on the same night last week. In 4th was Pretty Boy @lJAMESl and it's always good to see that lovely young man on the site.
In the Mini, & breaking his thread duck was a player with a wonderfully descriptive alias - @Rowan6ft2. Somehow I sense I know both his name & his height. In 3rd was the Notorious @gobbleoff with the veteran @Haysie 5th, in between arguing with his energy providers or anyone else who has the temerity to cross his path.
Turbo & Reload could not be more different in so many ways, not least the buy-ins which are £33 & £3.30 respectively, so all credit to @tonyp142 who won them both, a very rare double indeed.
Another fairly descriptive alias belongs to the £800 BH winner @FckwivKatz & maybe I'd better not speculate what that's about. That aside, it's his first featured FTT win, his only other result of note was 6th in a 9 @9 last month.
The Beast that is @GSmith13 was a busy boy, he won the 7 @7, was 2nd in Mega, 3rd & 4th in £300 BH's & won a satellite into the Main.
The Rebuy BH went to @Goblin11 & when seeing his alias I suddenly remembered something from back in the day, a Goblin Teasmade. Height of luxury, them, they were a sort of alarm clock/tea-making machine which made a shocking noise at the appointed time & then automatically made a pot of tea. I bet the youngsters think I'm making this up...
@lwwl - I'll be very disappointed if he's not Welsh - has been doing particularly well of late & had another good night, 1st in Mega, 4th in Sheriff & 2nd in Turbo. He won the Main exactly a week ago, on Christmas Day, & followed up 2 days later by winning UKOPS 13.
Sheriff went to @balamar who notched up a wide portfolio of wins a few years ago including a Sharpshooter Main, Turbos, MidEx's & Sheriffs.
@sharpelbow - another wonderfully descriptive alias - had an interesting 24 hours. Won a £20 DYM at 0900 yesterday morning, 12 hours later entered & won 9 @ 9, then won an 0730 £50 BH this morning. There's a man who burns both ends of the hedonistic candle.
Quickdraw went to @destinycod who was in great nick, from just 6 MTT's played he won Quickdraw, was 2nd in Main & 5th in Turbo. Not a player you want on your right. Or left. Or table.
@legendobv had not played an MTT since September, but polled up last night & played 3 of them - bricked the Main, 10th in Mega & 1st in MidEx.
A good night all round to get 2025 started.
