"Reasonably busy last night, with the standouts being the £1k Quickdraw at £1,860, & £1,000 Sheriff at £1,650. It's only been a week or so since Sheriff was restored to 5 nights per week (it was 2 previously) & it's performed nicely every night so far, as has that new £11 entry £500 BH.

@scottie73 took the Main. Has a very good record which includes wins in 9 @ 9 (7 times), Reload (3 times), MidEx & Mini Major, but this was their first Main & biggest ever result as far as I can tell. Serial cashee @ILIKE2FISH was runner-up. incidentally, I noticed that he was top of the Sharky "Count" Leaderboard for Sky Poker in 2023 & currently sits 2nd (to @FeelGroggy) in the 2024 version. Think it's probably as he plays all the satellites.

In the Mini, @fishnc5426 broke his Featured MTT duck in fine style, & in doing so denied @MAXALLY the win. Alan ran deep the Sunday's Mini Major too (11/162) so he seems to be in decent form.

The evening's toughest FT may well have been Sheriff, where @cabbaz had to fend off a FT that included @roddy28 @AlexaAJ @Thoich @MikeyW94 & @Drewett.

Of that list, maybe @Thoich had the best session, which included 4th in a £500 BH, 1st in the Rebuy BH, 15/147 in the Main, 4th in a £400 BH, 4th in Sheriff & 4th in Turbo.

@Sue79 is starting to build a decent-looking CV & took the new £500 BH, adding it to previous victories in both 9 @ 9 & Reload.

One-tabling & playing for the first time in 5 nights, @sullsull broke their thread duck in fine style. 2nd was @NOSTRI who also ran 3rd in Reload, & won that new £500 BH over the weekend. @aynaricol who we have not seen much of so far this year, was 6th.

We saw back-to-back wins - Sunday & Monday - in the 7 @ 7 as @phillips58 screwed everyone & took it again. I don't know much about this player, except that they won the Sunday Major Freeroll 5 or 6 times, but in a cursory search i noticed that they had 89,000 games to their credit, of which 32,000 are DYM's & the other 57,000 are MTT's, so maybe I really should know more about them.

Finally, I must mention an astounding result in the PL08 by @Terrie. In the last 5 days has only played the 19.18 PLO8, playing it just 3 times (4th, 6th & 8th January) & has finished 3rd, 4th & 1st respectively. That takes a bit of doing. 4 timer tonight?"

Morning.

The recent upsurge in MTT traffic continued, with healthy numbers right across the board again. Presumably cash game traffic was good too, thanks to the 2xPoints Promo, though I don't have access to the numbers.

Huge surprise in the Main as victory went to @07condja who in 10 years here has never won anything remotely as big as this. Mainly plays breakfast time £3 & £5 MTT's (ABI £4.64) & never seems to play bigger. So how come he was playing a £110-er? Won his seat in Thursday's Sunday Major Freeroll, & ended up turning it into £3,277. Lovely job. @grinddd @Natnug & @MikeyW94 were 2nd, 3rd & 5th, no real surprises there. 4th placed @WOMBAT2011 won his seat in a £24 satellite, but worth noting he traditionally does very well in the Major having made the FT three times, finishing 1st, 2nd & now 4th. In 6th was @amnotere26 who did it the hard way, winning a £5.20 sat & then a £24 sat & eventually going home with £679. Historically, has not always been kindly disposed towards Sky Poker but everything seems fine now.

The Mini Major went to @Retro__iG and I think it's fair to say that although he's played almost 6,000 games here last night was far & away the best night he's ever had. 1st in Mini Major, 1st in the 7 @ 7, 1st in a £100 DeepStack, 3rd in a £300 Rebuy, 3rd in a £150 BH & 6th in a £300 BH. 2nd was @moondanser who we've barely seen since winning a lunchtime £300 BH on Boxing Day. Just 5% of the 37,000 games @gregkdy82 has played were MTT's but he seems to do just fine in them & was 6th here. 2024 has begun well for him as in addition to that he's twice finished 5th in Reload this week.

Delighted to see a special pal of mine @lJAMESl take the Rebuy BH. All the way back in 2011 he won an SPT at DTD, collecting over £22,000 but he subsequently moved onwards & upwards & won a bunch of Grosvenor events worth a great deal more, with his biggest success being an 888Poker Live event for which he collected £121,000. In all, his "Live" earnings amount to around $804,000 if we take his Hendon Mob thingie at face value...

The £800 went to @gazscoop who mostly plays smaller stuff these days but those with good memories may recall he won the old £110 Sunday night thingie (the forerunner of the Major) twice in 6 weeks in the Spring of 2012.

A few days before Christmas, @davtherav won the Sunday night £5k BH & he was in the winner's circle again last night, taking down the Mega, as well as 5th in the 9 @ 9.

Winner of that 9 @ 9 was @Eddy7777 playing his first paid entry after 5 successive Freerolls.

Amazing scenes NKOTB @Joadark joined Sky Poker at 6pm & played here for the first time & after a few false starts took 1st place in Reload.

I've lost count of how many times @ScottMo1 has won Turbo & he did so again last night. Has won the Main a few times too, as well as the £5k Sunday night BH.

Quickdraw was won by @WHO_IS_SHE who has a remarkable CV which includes 2024 wins in Main, Rebuy BH (twice) & Turbo, and if we delve a little deeper is one of the select band of players to gave both both Avenger Main & Avenger Mini. Seems to me that Sharky vastly underestimates this player.
