As part of some exciting changes (
see here) coming to Sky Poker, we have unfortunately made the difficult decision to close this forum when we move to iPoker at the end of May.
We know it’s popular and that’s why we’re looking into other ways our players can socialise and provide feedback on the new site.
Ahead of the closure, please let us know what you'd like to see from a social platform whether it be another forum or something completely different.

Had some fun times on this forum especially at it's peak
Thank you to everyone at Sky Poker especially Tony @Tikay10 who without, the forum would have probably died ages ago
Big thanks @Tikay10 for his hard work running the forum, almost single-handedly in recent years. Always enjoy reading the daily results updates.
Would be great if we can find a way to keep the community going elsewhere once the forum closes.
We will all have to get back to buying daily papers to catch up on the news now.....instead of Haysie's daily postings...lol.
With the recent announcement of SPT 2025 venues, surely some sort of communicating media/social platform will still be needed?
Lots of them also run community based promotions/freerolls to help boost engagement and get more bums on seats (in much the same way as already happen through this forum).
I really hope something can be done to satiate the few regulars that are left treading these boards.
@HAYSIE any chance I can sign up to your newsletters for the news?
Think I started in 2009 so it's been quite a while and a lot of fun. I'm not so active these days, just keep half an eye on it now and then and see if anything interests me.
Actually I use it mostly for exchanging stuff with @Tikay10 over DM
I will miss it though like I still miss the TV show. In fact something reminded me of that this morning and got me remembering/chuckling to myself.
Moving to another platform would be nice. I am very experienced with Discord although it is quite a different experience - more of a live chat environment (loads of short posts rather than detailed forum posts), which I'm still not a huge fan of but put up with it.
Well thank you Tikay who has given so much and to everyone else here. Even the old Sky_Mods, whoever they were
I will follow developments with interest and hope this continues in some form.
Cheers!
For me this forum was a safe place to debate, to disagree, to argue and to learn. A place where you could contribute to and take from in equal measure. Somewhere where the lightest of topics through to the blackest of tragedies were shared and discussed.
For me personally it has been a lifeline when my demons escaped and threatened to drag me over the edge of sanity into the screaming abyss of self harm and suicidal desire. I could put it into a post and wait, and there it was, fellowship and a kind word by return.
We spoke about issues that affected us and our loved ones, cancer, dementia, mental health, addiction and relationship issues. All under the watchful, all seeing eye of Sauron, well @Tikay10 actually, thanks Tony words can't express our appreciation for you efforts. I'd like to think that somewhere in all that, somebody got something positive out of it. That would be a fitting legacy for the forum.
As for all of you guys out there, you are brilliant. Whether we agree, disagree, like, dislike, have strong feelings for or display ambivalence toward, I have, and will continue until the end, to enjoy every word. Yes even those from @Doubleme.
