"Here less than 6 months & playing just their 9th MTT here, @P1SSED sprung a surprise by winning the Main. I expect they thought that Alias was funny when they signed up, but the "novelty" surely wears off off after a while, a bit like mother-in-law jokes. Puerile aliases are quite the thing in Online Poker these days, which says a great deal about contemporary society I suppose. And yes, you are probably right, I'm old & miserable. In 2nd place was Mr @benc with @cabbaz in 4th & @Rstinson97 6th.

Since winning a Mini in 2021 @ebb69 has not been running great but turned the tide last night by winning another Mini, Gold Rush this time. In 2nd was @dbwins who won a Reload last Autumn.

The Summit FT must have been a proper ding-dong, with a top three of @GFKIJKLL @NChanning & @destinycod respectively. The minor placings were not too bad either, with 4th 5th & 6th going to @Shelley7 @Natnug & @loololollo. The winner is in blistering form, on Sunday he won 9 @ 9, on Monday he took the Main & Turbo, last night he claimed Summit. Proper form that.

Another in great form is @NOSTRI who in winning Reload last night recorded his 7th Featured MTT win of the month - Main, Rebuy BH (3 times), Reload, £500 Bh & 9 @ 9. He also won a Sunday Major seat in a freeroll. Not a bad month.

After running 2nd in Monday's Main, "I run so bad" @kawamattyz went one better in last night's Rebuy BH & took 1st place.

@Awoken seems to have done exactly that, & after wining Mega twice recently, stepped up a gear last night & won a hot Turbo, the FT of which included @Thoich @ozzieowen & @rspca12. In 4th was @uarebumboy (see my earlier grumblings on @P1SSED).

@Antonbond1 graces our thread for the first time in their 14 years on Sky Poker after winning Quickdraw, though to be fair, has played very little until this month.

Paul Gascoigne lookalike @MikeyW94 took MidEx for the 2nd time in 3 nights, other successes this month include wins in Main & Turbo.

On Monday, @BigDane won the £1k BH, last night he switched codes & took down the 19.18 PLO8.

@shad8604 who took Mega a week or so ago was back in the winner's circle, the £500 BH this time.

On Saturday, @Tommy68 won 7 @ 7 then went AWOL until returning last night & winning it again."

On what really was a momentous day in the history of Sky Poker, it was BAU at the tables, & MTT traffic was not too bad, with just £201 of overlay spread between Mini, Sheriff & 9 @ 9. The Forum was much busier than usual, for obvious reasons, & i thought that, overall, the news was greeted quite reasonably.

@Sharki0 took the Main, no surprise at all there, and maybe worth noting that this month last year he won a Main & was 4th in a Mini to collect £750 from the FTJ. It may not be widely realised that the vast majority of his spend - 95% I'd estimate - is at the cash tables, & he makes good money at both. Much less predictable was the runner-up @elzapo who was 2nd for a PB, & his best result since June of last year, though that's a mite misleading as last night was the first & only MTT he's played since 20th July last year. In 3rd was Sunday's Mini Major winner @davtherav with my special mate "Pretty Boy" @lJAMESl in 5th. For those that don't know James personally he's quite a force in the "Live" scene with over $800,000 in reported cashes, & a best result of £121,000 for winning an 888 affair in London in 2018. Won an SPT Grand Final too. Here's his THM...

The Mini fell to @jjohnny5 who has been doing rather well lately, 6th in a Predator Main a fortnight ago, & a deep run in a Mini in the recent Xmas UKOPS. Two other names most will recognise made the FT in 5th & 6th, @ozzieowen & @HOLLYWHIT, & the latter also made the PLO FT.

@Makaka who I believe only recently returned has been in tremendous form and in what seems like a typical session for him he won Sheriff, was 3rd in 7 @ 7 & 6th in Turbo.

@tonyp142 took the £800 BH which is hardly newsworthy as it's just BAU for him, but it was interesting to see @Frankson8 in 3rd. He's a relative & very keen newbie who is coming along nicely, was 3rd in a Sharpy Main 10 days ago & 2nd in Sunday's Mega. I think he could develop into a decent player, but if I were his poker coach, a) he'd become useless obv but b) I'd tell him to reduce the amount of games he plays by at least 50%. In poker - & in life really - less is often more. Play less (or is that fewer?) tables, get more focus, concentrate better, & MOST OF ALL be able to enjoy the ride because you are not juggling 12 tables. Poker for recreational players is not - or should not - be about winning, because almost all of us don't - so we have to find a way to enjoy the game even when we don't win or cash. Remember, no matter who you are, in MTT's you'll lose far more times than you win. And it's rarely realised how satisfying it is to embrace & be able to accept - enjoy almost, actually - adversity. Coping well with adversity is one of the best feelings on earth - enjoying a "bad" evenings on the Tables is a rare but very valuable skill. Anyway, keep it up Mr Frankson.

Johnny's galore last night, as well as @jjohnny5 winning the Mini, @Jonnyboy31 won the 7 @ 7. That beats two recent runner-up spots, once in a Mega two weeks ago, & once in a Mini last month. Two Johnny's? Hard to conceive.

@malc65 who is a 14,000 game 14 year Sky Poker veteran took the Rebuy BH having run 6th in an earlier renewal a fortnight ago.

Mega went to @_BankJob_ who stole it, apparently.

Big surprise in the Turbo which had a FT packed with big winners, none of whom managed to get the better of @Craogg300 who was recording his first headline win in 6 years here.

A father & Son 1-2 in Quickdraw with the Dad @StayOrGo besting the Son @Limp2Lose. Mixed feelings for the Dad I'd imagine. Wants to win, obv, but equally would be pleased to see the Son win. In ego terms, a complete Freeroll I suppose. Happy to win, happy to lose.

A lovely few hours for @Wurzelboy who had two 1sts & two 4th's, winning MidEx and a £150 Turbo BH, & 4th in a Reload & a £100 Turbo BH.
