2 quick points in relation to points made in this thread. 1 against this government, and 1 for.
1. Supposed new rules in relation to AI is just a mixture of soundbite and irrelevance. AI is going to be theoretically able to do this every time. So the key will be what has been produced and/or shared. Which is exactly the same laws as we already have. It's just a Govt pretending it is cutting edge
2. The current arguments by some big businesses in relation to their tax burden. As I have said before, if you do not tax business, then the only alternative is to tax you and me more. And in relation to the supposed argument that businesses will create growth with any profit they keep. Really? Let's use Thames Water as a prime example. Last year, they announced that they have debts of £15 Billion. But still managed to justify giving their shareholders a further £158 million. And other Water Companies paid out £hundreds of millions of "profits" to shareholders. While saying they have no money to maintain the Water supply. So OFWAT have allowed Thames Water to increase our Bills by 25% this year. And other Water Companies are increasing bills by more than that.
This isn't oil or gas, where world events can force change. Last time I checked, water falls out of the sky. For free.
