Hundreds arrested as part of two year operation on Bradford estate
A TWO-year operation to tackle crime on Bradford’s biggest estate led to almost 400 arrests, 73 cannabis farms being raided and 151 cars and caravans seized.
Operation Sweetgill was set up in late 2022 to target crime and anti-social behaviour in the Holme Wood area of Bradford.
A new report on the operation has revealed that evidence gathered during the two years has led to 84 criminal investigations, many of which are still ongoing.
And 28 households have been served eviction notices.
Details of the operation were included in a report given to members of Bradford Council’s Bradford South Area Committee on Thursday.
