"Numbers were "middling" last night, neither great nor terrible. Good to see the SPT Brighton sats continuing to do well, 17 last night, which I'd say is very good for a midweek night with the event still over a fortnight away.
@roddy28was prominent from the start in the Main, & went on to take the win. The SPT Las Vegas Champ from 2 (?) years ago is a nightmare once he gets a stack & deffo not much fun to share a table with thanks to his constant aggression. @shad8604 seems to have improved considerably this year, & was 2nd. Has already run 2nd in a Mini & a Mega in 2024, & of course does exceptionally well in the Monday night FTT. Going back to @roddy28 he won a remarkable hand at the SPT Las Vegas, not often you see a run out like this...
What were the chances of that? I dare not even think about it, but the odds must be monsta. Imagine what the Riggies would say if it had happened Online.
In the Mini, @Han94x emerged on top. He must like Tuesday's, as he won a Gold Rush Main a while back.
A week ago @GoldNug22 1-tabled his way to 3rd in Summit, & had not been seen on the MTT streets since until turning up last night, & going all the way this time, 1-tabling again. Not been here that long, less than 12 months, & won a UKOPS High Roller last Autumn. Seems to exclusively play £110 events. @johnny_e playing just his second MTT session this year was runner-up. Has a splendid record here, winning Summit several times, & with a dozen or so MTT cashes in excess of £2,000, the best of which was in 2012.
On Monday, @Tastysnack won the Mini, was 3rd in the Rebuy BH & 4th in Mega. That form continued into last night when he won 9 @ 9 and a £500 BH & was fifth in a £200 BH. As I mentioned yesterday, he has the odd distinction of having run 2nd in the Major 5 times, he also ran 2nd in a UKOPS HR.
The remarkably consistent @snoxx11 took Reload again. Has some big scores, including a brace of Summit wins a month apart in 2018.
@Blainaboys won the Turbo, the 4th time they've done so & second time in the last few weeks. Must have played real well (or run well) to fend off @destinycod@SoLack@MikeyW94 & @seikus in 2nd to 5th respectively.
A few weeks ago @dhardy ran 2nd in Avenger Mini, last night they won Mega. Best result lifetime was 1st in an April '22 Mini Avenger.
@Tommy19955 took Quickdraw, only their 2nd ever featured MTT victory, the other being a £1k BH back in 2022. Sneaking into 6th place was Quickdraw Final Table season ticket holder @River_Fox.
Scoring their first ever headline MTT win here was @kdaddy who took MidEx. Is having a good week, as he qualified for SPT Brighton a day or two ago. He attended it last year iirc but I'm not sure if he actually played.
Finally, & as I mentioned SPT Brighton, the satellites continue to be very busy, & last night saw 17 entries, which is exceptionally high especially for a midweek night. The three qualifiers were @madprof@steerer@K4.
Overlay last night amounted to a grand total of £10 (Turbo) so that was pleasing. The only domestic football was a distinctly unappealing match up featuring Doncaster Rovers v Crystal Palace at the faintly ridiculously named Eco-Power Stadium*, & which was televised on BBC I-Player of all places. It's rather sad how the football authorities have gradually degraded the FA Cup over the years. It used to be the case that all matches started at 3pm on a Saturday, & we had proper replays, under floodlights which were the best thing ever. Matches are now played at all manner of times & days between Friday & Monday & on a whole variety of different & often obscure TV channels. Anyway, the bottom line is that last night's football was good for Online Poker traffic.
* As another odd aside, Doncaster Rovers used to play at Belle Vue Stadium, but the Main Stand was gutted by fire, after which the Chairman was sentenced to 4 years in prison after being found guilty of arson. The Chairman was a chap named Kevin Richardson who also owned a horse called Flockton Grey which was (or was not...) part of a huge gamble & attempt to defraud bookmakers. Most knowledgeable horse-racing followers will know the story of Flockton Grey which, to cut to the chase, was replaced by a ringer which won by 20 lengths... Anyway, I guess I'd better get back to last night's MTT's.
Quite a surprise in the Main as @JTxoxo took the win. Made the FT of Turbo on Sunday, prior to which had twice made min-cashes in Mini Majors but nothing else in 120 attempts. More on him later. 2nd was @Arrogant with @Panda8 on the third podium step. 6th was @ChipDiddy0 who has won two UKOPS High Rollers, two Sunday Majors & much else besides, & who has a somewhat adversarial style of table chat. Certainly a decent player, & certainly not lacking in confidence.
The Mini went to none other than @HAYSIE who won a Hitman Main just 10 days ago. I might be wrong, but I think he's the first player to win a Main and a Mini in 2025, & he's almost certainly made more Main & Mini Top 20's in 2025 (& maybe all-time?) than any other player. He's also one of, if not THE most, talked-about players on Discord even though he's not a Member there, I think he has in excess of 750 mentions. They love him, obv. In 6th place was @JTxoxo - yes, the same player who, out of the blue so to speak, won the Main, so he gets a £250 cash prize from the FTJ. Been here around 3 years but played very little, in fact last night played just Main & Mini, winning the Main, 6th in Mini, plus a £250 bonus. WAL.
There was the Mother of all dust-ups in Sheriff, & when that dust had settled @ego_death emerged as the winner. You may recall he won the Major a week or so back. Chasing him home were @MattBates@loololollo@NChanning@ozzieowen & @ChipDiddy0. That is one hot FT. One of those nights for @NChanning who had a 2nd (Turbo), 4th (Sheriff) & 6th (MidEx).
@nccc1 is a regular in the early evening stuff but until last night I don't recall him ever winning one, but 1st place in the £800 BH changed all that. Did well to beat the runner-up @Arrogant who was also 2nd in the Main & 5th in Turbo.
7 @ 7 went the way of @sjtjjs06which sounds like some sort of skin condition that needs treatment by a dermatologist. Again, despite a deep delve, I can't trace any previous wins by him, her, or whatever the appropriate pronoun is.
A very different proposition in the Rebuy BH where @blablabla certainly walks the walk as well as talks the talk, winning it for the 2nd straight night, & his last three attempts in it have resulted in 4th, 1st & 1st. Takes a bit of doing that as in "budget" Rebuys the chips tend to go in light & they are tough to do well in. Bravo Bla Bla Bloke.
9 @ 9 went to @seanyb7727 who had twice previously won it's baby bro, the 7 @ 7.
A search through the backform of @Tdawg revealed revealed no wins of note except for last night's Reload, & this was just his 8th MTT of 2025. Great alias though.
In the PLO8, @safc71won it for the 983rd time, nobody cares that @cestlavie was 2nd, & in 3rd was @Enut, who is probably only a few bob behind Warren Buffet, but almost certainly drives a nicer car. Warren - who is worth hundreds of $billions- drives a 10 year old standard sedan. True story, bro.
Went round the houses a bit today, sorry 'bout that, will stick to the script tomorrow.
