Yesterday's 'plane crash in Toronto. Thankfully, & miraculously, there were no fatalities.
I've been an avoid follower of all things Civil Aviation all my life, but I don't ever recall a 'plane "flipping" over when it lands & coming to rest upside down, as the wings make that virtually impossible. No fire, either. A true miracle, & a testament to modern aircraft construction.
"Gold Rush Main went to @grinddd & for good measure he ran 2nd in Turbo, which came in way above it's run rate at £1,740. Mr @grinddd has a stellar MTT record here, this was his 6th "regular" Main event win, plus he's won the Major three times, Summit 3 times & a UKOPS Main. 2nd was @Rstinson97 with @Swog 5th & @FlynTimber, who just plays the Main & Mini most nights, in 6th.
Using ecclesiastical aliases on a gambling platform seems an oddly incongruous choice, but it does not seem to do @PopeBrian1 any harm as he won the Mini, the second time he's done so, though the previous occasion was some 5 years back. A quick peruse of papal records suggest there has never been a Pope Brian, but there's time yet.
It was a splendid session for @tonyp142 who bagged two 1st places - Summit & 7 @ 7, as well as 2nd in Turbo. Won a £55 SPT Brighton satellite seat for £11 too, though did no good in the Semi, but he does already have a seat locked up. 3rd was @pooochy who has shown improved form of late, and the same applies to 4th placed @Dingle1234 who won last Friday's BWBH.
@aynaricol has been facing the headwinds of variance this year but seems to be emerging out the other side & took her third Featured MTT of 2024 when winning Mega, having already scored wins in 9 @ 9 & Rebuy BH.
@Doddsy750 only signed up yesterday & then played all the PLO8 stuff, & won the "big" nightly PLO8 at the very first time of asking. An interesting newcomer & maybe one to keep an eye on. Fingers crossed they do not get put off by the toxic chat in that most nights which does nobody any favours. Imagine getting bent out of shape every night in a fiver MTT, it makes no sense at all.
@MARK277 invested just £20 to play just 4 MTT's, won the £1k BH & went home with £200 in his pocket. LIKE.
@esme180 spent all evening playing budget price SPT Brighton sats, eventually bagged his Semi Final seat & then went on to win his Brighton seat. The other seat went to @tomgoodun who lives quite local, & it'll be terrific to see him there. Incidentally, in yesterday's write-up I suggested that @loololollo had won his third seat to SPT Brighton. This was incorrect, he's "only" won 2. So far...
Overlay totalled £400 last night, spread across 4 events. Doubt that the MNF Leeds v Sunderland was to blame, more likely to be the time of month, so maybe it will persist for another week or so before improving. Incidentally, it was an excellent game of football, though Leeds were very lucky to nick all 3 points with almost the last kick of the game, deep in added time.
The Main went to @SaulGodman and as I've mentioned him several times maybe we ought to look a little closer at his progress. Joined us exactly 2 months ago yesterday & won Gold Rush Main on his very first night, so last night was his 2nd Main, both Gold Rush's. Other wins include 7 @ 7 & Mega, plus 2nd in a Marksman Main & 3rd in a Summit. Clearly very handy, & judging by his Table Chat, seems a very decent sort. Also, if you have no idea what "Saul Godman" refers to, here, take a look.
2nd was @loosecamelcontinuing his recent run of runner-up spots - Gold Rush Main, Sunday Major, Mega, Turbo & Rebuy BH. In 3rd place was @MRMIAGI who won a Hitman Main this time last month. 6th was @craigcu12who won his Brighton seat a few days ago at the first time of asking, & has made the 9 @ 9 FT twice in recent days as well as 3rd in a Mini Marksman.
Prior to last night @DizzySeb18had made three Mini FT's without quite managing to win, but that all changed last night as he took Mini Marksman down.
The opener went to @hifiwho has now won that one at least 3 times in the last 2 years. Sounds about right...
7 @ 7 went to @steveysee for the umpteenth time. One of those players who goes mostly under the radar & gets it quietly. Been here some 17 years & has always had a very lucrative & significant ROI. I'd guess he is one of those players who rarely or never deposits & so in effect has a "free" hobby.
A very good day for @Shazza1 who rarely gets a mention, played a £300 lunchtime BH & won it, then logged off until the Rebuy BH began - & won that too.
The ultra-consistent @snoxx11 took Sunday off but returned with a bang last night, winning Mega & then 2nd in 9 @ 9. Has a lovely CV which includes two wins in the £110 Summit.
Winner of that 9 @ 9 was @jas69 who you may recall ran 3rd in the Sunday Major a fortnight ago for around £1,180.
Another who had a good session was @GIPSYKING who won Reload, followed that with 1st in a £100 Rebuy then 3rd in a £150 Turbo. I'm slightly curious about the alias, as the correct spelling is "Gypsy" not "Gipsy", & Romany people are usually quite fussy about their heritage.
@fiers5527 is very much a late-nighter & technically started yesterday with 4th in an 0030 BH, then played & won last night's (well this morning's) MidEx, having finished 20th of 22 in it 2 nights/mornings earlier.
Amazing scenes in the SPT Semi, with newbies taking both seats. @dcl28signed up to Sky Poker just 5 days earlier & then won their Brighton seat last night the hard way - winning a £2.60 Micro, a £12 Quarter & then got the seat in the £55 Semi. Even more remarkable was @DNM who signed up only yesterday, & in their first ever game here won a Brighton Seat. Stayed on & played 2 more MTT's, & ended up 3rd in a £300 BH. I assume that part of the whole idea of SPT's is to get new sign-ups, so it does (occassionally) work.

Have you seen the video of it @Tikay10? It's absolutely amazing that everyone survived. There was indeed a fire, a big one as it hit the ground and the wings came off, luckily it seems that the plane skidded out of the flames and the fire engines were on the scene very quickly, many of the passengers were covered in aviation fuel, thankfully the flames didn't catch up to the plane. It could have been much, much worse.

There was a hot 9 @ 9 renewal, with @mysteryreg 1st, the in-form @NOSTRI 2nd @FAS 3rd & @chkngeorge 4th.
@Dutchy76 showed up for the first time in 6 weeks to win an unusually big Turbo, holding off @grinddd @tonyp142 & @cabbaz.
